I agree with Fayte. No need for nastiness. Also, the person giving the award determines their own criteria. No need to split hairs or take offense.IP: Logged |

Mirandee's meaning to the Phoenix RISING is Right, as long as The Phoenix is depicted as RISING from ones own ashes in life, from the fires of it ALL and ONE RISING ABOVE IT ALL!!! Now thats kind of symbolic isn't it!!! Fayte didn't you post a pic of the Phoenix RISING??? Does this Phoenix Rising meaning of Mirandee's does it not say the same thing as the bird RISING in your pic also, because you did post the Phoenix RISING??? Not just any Phoenix all on it's own or type, none other for your award given. Only what Mirandee Said, Quote: -------------------------------------------- It doesn't matter if anyone has Arrived at a state of being a perfect human being or not because that is not what it is all about. It's the effort we are making at rising above things in our lives and being better people by the day that matters. That is also what makes a person a Phoenix. The Phoenix, is always depicted as rising upward out of the ashes. The Phoenix is never depicted of having already arrived to the heights of wisdom, knowledge and spiritual perfection. Neither have any of us risen to those heights and it probably won't happen in our lifetimes. The effort along our journies is ALL that matters. We do it baby steps at a time on the most part. I agree that it is an honorable award. But who are we to determine who does and does not deserve that honor? That is contrary to oneness of all and on a forum like LL, to build up an award to the point of making it almost as esteemed as the Nobel Prize even makes it more divisive when you select the "worthy" ones even if it is just your own opinion it's still divisive after making such a big deal out the award. -------------------------------------------- Your making it a hate thread Fayte all by yourself. No one is attacting you, where are you getting that from, just trying to understand your meaning to your RISING Of The Phoenix. There is really only one RISING OFF MEANING, unless your are going to give a different bird without the Rising, for your meaning of the reward that you like to give others. RISING ABOVE IT ALL, is what it really means!!! Taking it a little Higher every time!!!

Continuing with this line of questioning isn't productive or helpful or accomplishing anything. If it means different things to different people, so be it, but there doesn't need to be a debate on what one person's award means. It means what they say it means. That's all.IP: Logged |

So you can go un-noticed again and don't have to respond to the questions above that you asked about and said that we were attacting you for your choose of awards??? LOL!!!Can' slip that one under the carpet that easily, without being noticed!!! So where's the attact??? I see that you added alot of words in there that I don't say or even imply, to what you think I'm doing here. Putting words in our mouths again, before you even allow other's to be heard out first. You jump to, too many conclusions of your own. about how we see things and others. Then when they do stick around and try to say something to you about what their really trying to say to you, your through and tried of it, you don't even want to hear it, so WHY EVEN ASK or Appear to care, why because you think you already know how we feel and see things??? I know your game and how you play!!! Your priceless Fayte. LOL!!! IP: Logged |

LOLFor the record, I see nothing wrong with Fayte giving a phoenix award to whoever the heck she wants to, and recognizing their ability to transcend, according to her own citeria. I think its great! And I also agree that we are not ultimately in a position to estimate something like that. I think that was worth mentioning, without making it seem like it was wrong to bestow the award selectively. I think what Fayte did and what I said are not at all incompatible. We can only judge things according to where we stand here, and there are many things we say and things we speak of from this limited perspective, and they have as much value as the absolute truths we cannot yet aprehend.

Well AG, thats good and fine and all when Fayte does it and wants some answers of her own, but it is really starting to look to me like I'm aways made to look like I'm stirring the pot, when asking her what her point was in the first place??? By her even making remarks in the first place about how one SHOULD and SHOULDN'T be entitled to her reward system, who's deserving in her books only, until I gave that award To Mirandee, thats then things started for her. I do have a say also you know and I'm not mad or up-set in any way, just tired of always being told to butt out and it's none of my business when she attacts me and Mirandee first and then turns it around to look like she being attacted. This is bullsh!t and you know it to be the real truth of matter here. This has been going on way to long. What's the real problem here is maybe we're not aloud to up-set Fayte, but she sure gets her say and then We're to just shut-up and don't rock fayte's boat!! Only Fayte is allowed to do this??? WHAT DO YOU MEAN???? Not right!! She's the one thats always asking others to just ask these questions of her, to get to the bottom of it. I find this all to be very contrary to what she asks of use here. All just to keep the peace, swept it away!!! Thats all I have to say anyways, she won't answer any of my questions anyhow!!! Shes to busy being on the defense and blaming others for her actions and why she does what she does!!! Fayte, Why even ask US!!! IP: Logged |

We're all a big joke. You know that, right? It's like we all just keep passing around the defensive ass**** stick. Now it's your turn, last week it was mine, tomorrow it will be the next person's. I think there is more than one of those sticks though... We also have the loving and compassionate sticks, hey even the phoenix stick eh? So, that makes it all worth it. The trick is to be aware and get skilled enough to pass the stick to the person who needs it. OR maybe I just made that up out of air... But it worked for me. 26T... thanks for helping me to stay on track today. I had a great morning but then almost lost my way again. Then your words were there for me... your love. Like a sister? That brought me right back out of the darkness and lifted me again to God. I was able to reach into my heart and give just a little more. It's so beautiful it breaks my hardened heart open. But it really is open all of the time... Thank you for reminding me, friend. IP: Logged |

"There is a person who has profoundly disturbed my peace of mind for a long time. She doesn't even know me, but she continually goes around minding my business. We have very little in common. I disagree with her on fundamental issues of population control, the place of women in the world and in the church, and I am turned off by her naive statements about what God wants. She stands at the center of great contradictory notions and strong forces that shape human destiny. She drives me crazy. In the studio where I work, there is a wash basin with a mirror. Alongside the mirror is a photograph of this woman. Each time I look in the mirror at myself, I also look at her face. In it, I have seen more than I can tell; and from what I see, I understand more than I can say. In the photograph, a small, stooped woman in a faded blue sari and worn sandals received an award. From the hand of a king. Mother Theresa of India...servant of the poor and sick and dying. To her, the Nobel Peace Prize. No shah or president or king or scientist or pope; no banker or merchat or cartel or oil company or ayatollah holds the key to as much power as she has. None is as rich. For hers is the invincible weapon against the evils of this earth: the caring heart. And hers are the everlasting riches of this life: the wealth of the compassionate spirit. To cut through the smog of helpless cynicism, to take only the tool of uncompromising love; to make manifest the capacity for healing humanity's wounds; to make the story of the Good Samaritan a living reality; and to live so true a life as to shine out from the back streets of Calcutta, takes courage and faith we cannot admit in ourselves and cannot be without. I do not speak her language. Yet the eloquence of her life speaks to me. And I am chastised and blessed at the same time. I do not believe one person can do much in this world. Yet, there she stood, affecting the world around. I do not believe in her version of God. But the power of her faith shames me. And while I wrestle with frustration about the impotence of the individual, she goes right on changing the world. While I WISH for more power and resources, she USES her power and resources to do what she can do at the moment. She upsets me, disturbs me, shames me. What does she have that I do not? If ever there is truly peace on earth, goodwill to men, it will be because of people like Mother Teresa. Peace is not something you WISH for; it's something you MAKE, something you DO, something you ARE, and something you GIVE AWAY." ~Robert Fulghum Nuff said... IP: Logged |

As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
