Do you think my 7-year-old nephew is old enough to receive an Alex Grey calendar as part of his Christmas gift?IP: Logged |

um.... Yah! He'd probably think the pictures were pretty cool... I'll tell you though, the average 7 year old child really would rather have something tangible that they could "Play" with. football, fishing pole, water guns, Art's n' Crafts, construction set, lightup pens, magnetic mini dart board, puzzles of animals, board games, etc. These things are really apreciated much more as well as remembered for years to come! ABSOLUTELY!!!Just look through it and make sure there are no "Progressions of the Soul" photos and if there are, it gets a bit sexual...to say the least!!! Great Idea!!! IP: Logged |

Ahhh! Good call I'm impressed! Leo does rule my fifth house (children, creativity, Fun, Loves of my life, games, etc) And... as a mom I totally ROCK! (¯`v´¯) `*.¸.*´ ¸.´¸.*¨) ¸.*¨) (¸.´ (¸.´ .´ ¸¸.¨¯` My eldest graduated a year early at the top of his class and now is attending college. (Age 17 years) My little one's are ages 5 and 3 (just about 4), respectively... Note: With these children come all the neighborhoods children into our home. It seems on any given day you'll find me playing with 7 or so children! LOL! ------------------ Sendin' love your way, "your friend in spirit" IP: Logged |

I will agree with knowing the individual who is to recieve, but as a parent myself I do know that kids tire of recieving the same old stuff, things with no thought to them, things that no one put any effort into.I have 2 nephews 3 and 5 who's parents, my brother and sis-in-law are very well to do, so these kids have anything AND everything they want. So when it comes time for gift giving I have to get very creative! I think kids and parents appreciate creativity in recieving gifts. I have even given gifts for which the parents are to put away and save for the child for a later time, such as rare coins, etc. tho when I do this, I always give the child something to appreciate at present.
