You maybe cute on the outside but you DEFINATELY pack quite an acceliration and man can you really surprise people with your whole slew of talents.

Therefore, you're a Lotus Elise :

I don't know why it is but men refer to boats and cars and other things in the feminine as "she." A man might say to another man, " I like your boat, she's a beauty."

I never thought about it before as to why that is, but it has always been the case. At least in the West, but I think they do the same in Great Britian? Maybe other european countries as well?

Maybe it is as Xodian said, anything with lines men naturally think of as feminine in nature.

When it comes to cars and men I think the way most women see it is that if it has wheels or testicles it is going to give you problems.

Xodian, you are too charming. You flatter me.

Though I was sort of looking forward to being a dune buggy!... All of the guys dig that, yo. The epitome of sleek and sexy. *snap* Oh well, this is better. lol

LOL! Mirandee, maybe you need a more "Libra" look at the situation . There is so much to love about cars. I think I already said this in the "Soul Union" thread:

a) They don't think passing gas is a bad thing.

b) They really like to go fast .

c) They give us the ride of our lives LOL!

But enough sexual inuendos. Lets show you the romantic side of it all shall we?

Cars and the Cardigans; What more can a guy ask for? Lol!

Or how about:

Comeon ladies; Don't you like a guy whose there right when you need him? Lol!

BOE:

I just say it like it is .

I agree with the love of cars when it comes to men, Xodian.

I had two sons and now have 4 grand daughters and 1 grand son. My sons and my grand son were all attracted to cars, trucks and anything with wheels very young in life. While out of the girls only one, Cerise, was at all interested in cars or trucks. And the interest was even short lived with Ceri. My grand son is even more fascinated with cars and trucks than my own sons were.

However, there are a lot of women, if they admit this, who between a guy who drives an old car and a guy who drives a new, shiny sports type car with sleek lines will go for the guy with the most fancy wheels over the guy driving an old car. Guys will testify to this. They say things like, " I can't pick up women driving a car like that." LOL

Not all women are this way but many of the younger ones do go for guys with shiny, new sleek lined cars.

The gas prices these days may change all that because many guys are looking for cars that are not gas guzzlers.

Just my thoughts. But it does seem that males are born with an attraction to and love of cars. Not to mention speed.

That car does fit Evermore. LOL It's cute and laid back looking. It looks like a fun car. And the background setting has a feel of Evermore with all that earth element.

A relaxing fun day in the countryside.

But I could also picture her in a dune buggy or four wheeler speeding up and down those hills. LOL

The need for speed is just a natural inbred human trait Mirandee. We like to believe that anything that goes way beyond the edge is worth exploring and living upon since its the ultimate stimulation.

Actually when I think about all the possible dream careers a guy usually goes for (i.e. Fighter Pilots, Race Car Driver, Professional Athlete, etc.) it all points towards an Adrenaline rush one way or another Lol!

I guess when a guy really gets to just take himself and his car out on the road, for no other reason but to enjoy the drive, he really does gets a break from the world for that moment... No worries, No responsibilities, No problems.

Yes, Xodian. Although I limit my need for speed to internet hook up. LOL

I think computers are to women what cars are to men.

Without getting too risque here, Xodian there is one area with women where the love of speed that men have is not considered an asset.

maybe a reference to something being described as 'graceful' ?? ..

it wouldn't suprise me to hear a pilot of either gender refering to the 'spitfire' as 'she' ..
possibly one of the most graceful aircraft ever designed ?? .. many seem to think so ..
i think the designer was a taurean btw :-)

Grace sounds good, HD

The plane does have nice lines, but I don't know if I would want to be in an airplane that had targets painted on it. LOL

The Spitfire kinds of reminds me of a dragonfly so I see what you mean about "her."

** The Spitfire kinds of reminds me of a dragonfly **
the de havilland 'dragonfly' ?? .. ( pic is a 'dragonfly' rapide ) ..

i think the story of the spitfire goes as following ..
R.J.Mitchell was recovering from an illness ..
he was out in his backyard catching a bit of rare brit sunshine ..
when he spotted some birds .. can't remember exactly what species of bird ..
but i think the species was somehow relevant ..
and that's where he got the idea for the elipitical wing design ..

graceful as a bird .. design and function ..

it maybe an odd co-incidence .. but looking at the lines of an orca ..
its dorsal fin is quite similar in shape to the eliptical wing ..
and its front 'flippers' are very close to shape of the spitfires tail wings
( sorry it's getting off topic .. i shall desist .. but i do love aircraft :-)

LOL! I am a Libra Mirandee; I know just how important going slow is when it comes to *ahem* that little diddy. Besides, like cars, women are a work of art and if we are to appreciate the exterior, its best to savor the moment and go at it slow Lol!

But outside of that zone Mirandee, I have to fulfill my need for speed .

HD:

See? Here is a guy who gets it Lol! High five ma man!

** The plane does have nice lines, but I don't know if I would want to be in an airplane that had targets painted on it. LOL **

.. i seem to remember that was also a joke amongst ww2 pilots ..
maybe the german pilots .. don't remember ..
read it somewhere though .. probably in an aviation magazine ..

btw: the reason i mentioned spitfire pilots of either gender ..

" The Spitfire displaying at Duxford on March 5 ML407 is the Grace Spitfire, owned and operated by Carolyn Grace, the only current female Spitfire pilot in the world. Carolyn has been flying the Duxford-based Spitfire since 1990, getting her Display Authorisation in 1991, and adding Aerobatic and Formation qualifications to that since. Carolyn flies the Grace Spitfire at both public and private air shows up and down the country and across Europe, and has also flown in no less than five record-breaking Spitfire formation flypasts between 1996 and 2000. "

text from ..

Carolyn Grace .. her website ..
note the potential funeral arrangements ..
what a way to go .. huh .. :-))
think i'll save up for that one .. plus attending orchestra

added note: even the documented rebuild of that spitfire is titled .. " The Perfect Lady " ..
