Solane could start a quote thread and post the new ones in it every day instead of starting a new thread for each quote. People who like reading them would know where to look.

And fayte you could make a "Take Fun Quizzes Here" thread or something.

I dunno. It doesnt really bother me.

Exactly, 26 Taurus and that is why so many people do object to someone posting so many threads at one time. It pushes other threads off the page and into the archives. It clutters up the board and makes it harder for people to find a thread that was just posted a day before that they wanted to reply on.

It should not make any difference who does it. It should not make any difference if it is a fun thread or what the content of the threads are. When it comes to spamming the boards it is quanity of posts all at once that we are discussing. We are not addressing the quality of the content of the threads.

Spamming is normally discouraged on the boards because it is inconsiderate of other posters. How many threads of other members of LL were pushed off the page due to Fayte putting in 28 blog quizzes at one time? That should be what the mods address. It is the sheer number of threads at one time that should be the concern of the mods. Not the content to the threads.

Some of the same people on this thread saying it is okay for Fayte to spam the boards with 28 quizzes at one time have gotten onto others for spamming the boards with less than 28 threads at one time. Mystic Gemini ( or one of her other many screen names )comes to mind as a good example.

It's not okay for Fayte to spam the boards and clutter them up with 28 blog quizzes at one time and it is not okay for anyone else to do it either. That is being fair. It is not fair to call others on it and say just because a friend does it, it is okay.

28 threads all at once in minutes apart from each other by one member is excessive. No matter what their content. No matter who it is. Who is going to deny that? It is also inconsiderate of other posters because it does amount to hogging the boards. Many of you on this thread saying it is okay for Fayte to spam the boards have told MG that she was "hogging" and "spamming" the boards and complained about it. Where is the fairness in that?

All memembers of LL should be treated equally by the mods and by other members. It is not okay for a friend to do something that you would not allow from someone who is not a friend. If it is okay for Fayte to spam the boards and clutter them up with 28 threads at time then it should be okay for everyone else to do that without being called for it by any of us. Is that really what you all want to come to LL everyday to see? The boards cluttered with as many as 28 threads by one poster? Because if we say it is okay in this case we have to say it is okay in all cases and we have to live with the clutter.

Star has never posted 28 threads minutes apart or even in one day. She may post 3 or 4 some days but never as excessive as 28 at a time. She also at times posts some of those same articles at UC due their inspirational content. Nothing wrong with that. We all do that at times if we think it applies at other boards as well. So it is hardly fair to compare Star with Fayte's 28 blog quizzes.

As one of the moderators here at FFA I am supporting Nephthys in what she said. It is very excessive to post 28 threads of any kind at a time. It does clutter the board. It even clutters the archives. It is inconsiderate of other posters and it is for those reasons that moderators normally discourage spamming.

Zala feels it is okay for Fayte to throw in 28 threads at a time on the boards of FFA. I agree with my fellow mod, Nephthys that is it not okay for Fayte or anyone else to do that at FFA. So we will have to let YFIS make the final call on whether it is okay or not. There are 3 mods here at FFA and in this matter I feel it should be done by consensus of mod opinion because we are all going to have to live with the decision.

If it is okay in this case then that will have to remain our policy here at FFA for all members. We will have to allow spamming at FFA no matter who does it.

Yes I posted many in one day, but NOT the numbers you have quoted.

I post far far far less than Solane.

And I suspect less than perhaps you here at FFA.

So I got excited over quizzes.

Big deal!

Even my being happy upsets you.

I have done nothing wrong.

What if I'd bumped all the blog tests posted by other people?
I do not see anyone complaining about that.

I totally agree that it was excessive. I agree that I don't like people posting that many new threads at once. I also think that other people should be given the chance to discover tests over there, and post them themselves instead of all the tests being posted by a single person.

A single thread for blog quiz`s would keep the forum neat and tidy. An added bonus is one wouldn`t have to hunt & peck for one they wished to take (with search function inactive)
