I'll admit I was surprised to see so many posts by fayte all at once, especially being that they were quizzes that could have been joined in one thread. Like others have pointed out, it isn't as though the posts were malicious or offensive or self-promoting, etc. I just don't think fayte thought to put them in one thread or that others might get upset about it. If some action needs to be taken by the mods, I think the best choice would be to compile a single thread for all the quizzes. But I don't really feel it is neccessary.

I think, in the future, we should all be aware that posting a great deal of threads consecutively, especially in a single forum, may be considered spamming particularly when the different threads could have been placed in one thread to keep any clutter at bay. I do think there is a huge difference between these posts and, say, MG's posts due to their content, intent, how often that sort of thing has been done by a single user, etc. and that that should be taken into account at all times. Mistakes and misunderstandings do happen and I frankly feel that this molehill has had enough dirt piled upon it already.

Also ... Fayte, I'm sorry this was brought to your attention this way. I think the appropriate course of action would have been for Solane (or anyone who had a problem) to contact a moderator instead of starting this thread. Knowing the history involved and the actual opening tone of this thread, I find it very rude and a completely unwarranted response to what is essentially a simple misinterpretation. Must we assume the worst about each other and respond to our assumptions so brashly at every possible opportunity?

Thanks Eleanore {{{HUGS}}}

No, I did not think. I got carried away having fun! I had not just totally gone and goofed off for days in a very long time! Years in fact!
Well that will teach me! Back to being dry and serious. Apparently having fun and getting carried away once in a blue moon is not a good thing after all. At least not online. It sucks to have one's kites shot down whilst enjoying their happy innocent flights. I guess flocks of kites annoys most people.

BTW...I subscribe to blogthings.
If anyone is interested just go to a quiz page and on the right should be a subscribe box.
You then get new ones in your e-mail.

Edit to add:
Thanks to all of you who thanked me both here and privately for posting the blog quizzes, both before this fiasco and during it!
God Bless You all!
Oddly there were more of you who liked it than not! Thank you again!

Fayte,

It is a moderator's responsibility to address issues that arise on the boards or in emails to us. That is why both Zala and myself are addressing this issue. It was brought to our attention by a member of LL.

I did not say anything to you about the quantity of your threads before a member brought it up on the board here did I? NO, I didn't. I even took about 5 of the tests. So please don't try to manipulate it to make it look like something it is not on my part. You did that already on your Men blog quiz over a joke I made. You tried to manipulate that joke into it being stereotyping on my part when Xodian and I were teasing each other. And you did that after I made it very clear in my post that I was only teasing the guys here. Now you are manipulating once again on this thread and trying to make it appear as something it is not but something you wish to convince other members it is for your own agenda.

I am acting a moderator here on this thread in addressing Star's concern over the spamming of the boards. That is all!!! Zala, as moderator gave her opinion. Normally I would support a fellow mod in their decision but I feel that Star's concern over spamming is valid. Others here invalidated Star all together. That is not fair play.

In this case Zala and I have differing opinions as mods about what is spamming and what is not. Which is why I stated that YFIS and her opinion would be mod consensus. I do feel that whatever that consensus is it has to be the policy of all the moderators at FFA because it would be confusing and divisive to members of LL if is not an across the board and fair policy for all.

Once again I will reinterate that it is not the content of the threads posted that determines spamming. It is the sheer quantity of number of threads posted at one time on the boards that is considered spamming. It is not right and not fair to say some people can spam the boards while calling others on it.

Fayte, you stated in one of your posts here that you felt that some people here at LL think you can't have fun. Is that the reason that you spammed the board of FFA? To prove something to people based on just a feeling you had regarding what we think about you? I have never read any posts here where anyone complained or stated that you were "too droll and serious."

quote:
That is the way I feel too!
And some have complained saying I am too droll and serious.....
so was just trying to have fun and add a bit of levity here.
Things have been a bit slow on the boards of late.

That is not a good reason to spam the boards. That does not make it okay to spam the boards. It is inconsiderate of other members whose posts get shoved off the page from the quanity of your posts and only for the purpose of you attempting to prove something about yourself based only on your own perceptions of what people think of you. It is self-serving to be rude and inconsiderate of others just to prove something about yourself.

AG, No one should take sides here in this matter. It is not a personal matter regardless of Fayte wishing to make it a personal attack on her. The only issue is do we wish to allow ALL members to spam the boards of FFA or do we pick and choose who can and who can't do that? Because it has to be an across the boards policy for everyone to make it fair to all members. That is my only point here on this thread.

I agree with Eleanore in that Star should not have posted this thread to Fayte but instead should have contacted the moderators in private. Much as I love Star that is my honest feeling about it. I would encourage everyone to contact the mods in private if they have a complaint instead of posting it on the boards to the person. That is only going to create a situatin such as this where friends will come in and take sides and an argument will ensue. Also in this case, Star knows well that it will be distorted and manipulated .

IE:

quote:
Mirandee do you have any concept of how skewed and off base your statistics are?
Why are you and 2 others blowing this out of proportion as if it is some horrible crime?
Yes I posted many in one day, but NOT the numbers you have quoted.

I post far far far less than Solane.

And I suspect less than perhaps you here at FFA.

So I got excited over quizzes.

Big deal!

Even my being happy upsets you.

Fayte,

Please withdraw the victim card from the table. And please stop assuming and stating what I think and what I feel. Truth is no one's happiness upsets me. I would wish that the whole world would be happy. I particularly would want you to be happy just so you would stop riding my a$$. I will also warn you that the very next time you call a member and especially a moderator at LL a "wuss" Randall is going to hear about it.

There is really nothing in Randalls guidelines that addresses the number the threads at one time a member can post. Spamming is just something that is universally on the internet at most sites considered inconsiderate and frowned on. It is not a written policy. But consideration for other members is a written policy in Randall's guidelines. As one of the mods here at FFA that is what I am addressing here. Not your happiness, Fayte. Not you in general. I am addressing spamming. An issue brought up by a member of LL on this thread. I am doing what Randall appointed me moderator to do. If that were not the case how do you explain that I did not call you on spamming and even answered 5 of your quizzes? So please withdraw your victim card from the table and try in the future not to apply it any time I perform my moderator duty where it concerns a thread of yours.

Mirandee I have a question.

You and fayte seem to have issues getting along, so why are you even involving yourself? I see you're a Moderator but does it have to be YOU who deals with fayte's problems here all the time? Eleanore's post was a good conclusion to the thread. You seem to be trying to fuel the fire.

Solane Star how old are you? Faytes threads have nothing on this one. I think you were more interested in starting trouble than seeing the message board flooded.

miss_muffet Thank you!

I know I went overboard
posting quizzes.
I haved admitted that repeatedly!
However I broke no rules,
and not everyone was upset by my rare
overflow of threads.
I was just having fun!
Why some seem to believe I was doing it to
spam or worse totally bewilders me.
And being told to go FO for disagreeing and
using a thumbsdown icon was just plain nasty.
I am allowed to disagree.
I was not rude when I replied to Xodian.
And the crack may or may not have been a joke.
I am not a mindreader.
All I did was post too many blog tests for some folk's tastes and made a comment against stereotyping men as all sex food and sports.
Sorry, even joking I find that tasteless. Just like the adult diaper jokes. Tasteless and unkind.

Randall knows about it deary.
I told him I called you a wuss...

after you told me to go icon thumb f-ck myself

for agreeing with Xodian that men are not all sex, food and sports (which you said).
Then you could not even be up front by speaking to me directly,m but trying to be sly about who you were telling to shove their icon thumb up their @sss.
Oh it was clear exactly what you were saying "lady".
You were NOT joking and you know it!
And as for name calling? You and Solane have called me names so many times I have lost count! So don't preach about morals of name calling at me!
As for your stereotyping...
Joke or not I found it tasteless and just because I voiced my opinion on such stereotyping does not give you the right to tell me to go FO....
Or continue to badger me every chance you come up with madame.
So think before you tell me to go FO just for voicing my opinion.
You are allowed to make crude or rude jokes...
I am allowed to not approve.

Additionally you and Solane have again run amuck character assaulting and trashing me over your grudges
Which had nothing to do with my over abundant blog quizzes nor my opinion on stereotyping of men.
All this was totally a feeding frenzy which was/is totally uncalled for!
And a waste of my and others time.

I actually did not call you a wuss...I said:

quote:
Oh stop being a wuss and admit you are talking to me!
At least this time!
I have every right to use icons as I wish.
Geez!

Hmmmmm.....
Seems to me that babies might be along the same lines as wuss.....
Perhaps Mods might refrain from this type of activity if we expect the rest of the people on the boards to do so..... setting a better example, ya know..... but I guess maybe my expectations are too high
