My mother is a brilliant woman and she told me this story once. At the beginning of time, there were only a certain number of souls in the world. That's lovely. I wonder though, does everyone go through that stage where they feel that they are odd and different? I always kind of knew... I never cared to fit in, because I'm a grouchy loner and don't like hanging around people I don't really like.
I've felt that way that she describes with two people, my grandmother and my first boyfriend who is still my very best friend. Some of my other family too, to a lesser extent.

I babysit there one summer at one of the Motels for my brother, while he was working out of town, road jobs.

It wasn't uncommon for plenty to say I was "old soul" or "indigo" until I said or did something they disapproved of, and then I was instantly unenlightened, no longer old or indigo. Because of these experiences, I've felt it was more subjectively used as personal seals of approval & never really paid attention to labels like these (whether applied to me or others).

Still, I found myself nodding to what Anna Boelcskevy was saying.
