To Ginny.------------------ The truth is ... everything counts. Everything. Everything we do and everything we say. Everything helps or hurts; everything adds to or takes away from someone else. ~ Countee Cullen We are weaving character every day, and the way to weave the best character is to be kind and to be useful. Think right, act right; it is what we think and do that makes us who we are. ~ Elbert Hubbard IP: Logged |

My friend, my debating friend, the one that I understood even during our most heating discussions. I miss you Rainbow. I wish you had never left, yet I know that you are in the most beautiful place at this time. Did you know that even during our most heated discussions I still looked up and admired your past? Did you know that all the while we bit each other heels you taught me more about who we are that what I had learned from others regarding the "old ways". I wish you were still here. I wish I could have said goodbye Grandmother. You offered so much and yet we did not get passed that famous Capricorn / Sag relationship.. LOL. but you taught me. Just as my Cappy dad teaches me.. and your pisces moon gave so much as does my husband, also with a Pisces moon. I hope to meet you on the other side. To let you know that no matter what we said to each other, I always respected you and you respected me. As I age, I hope to have 1/2 the grace that you always embodied. ~pidaua... Ginny's in the rose garden. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/006746.html it brings tears to my eyes whenever I see an old thread where she used to be because although she is still "there", her sparkling pictures are gone. I didn't know her well, but she was such a part of the beauty and magical mystery of LindaLand. Still is, thanks to those who remember her and celebrate her.

Virginia Brittony-D'Archangel January 16, 1937 - February 11, 2007Rainbow, Your presence is in the gentle breeze, the sunshine dancing off your beloved Lake Michigan, the twinkling of the stars, the glittering new fallen snow in the moonlight, and always in my heart, my dear, sweet friend. And in the hearts of all of us whose lives you have touched. Very sweet of you to post this thread in rememberance of Rainbow/Ginny, Nephthys. You knew her for a very long time and I know she meant a lot to you and your life.

Miss you and always loving you, Ginny. thank you. The Good
The good are vulnerable As any bird in flight, They do not think of safety, Are blind to possible extinction And when most vulnerable Are most themselves. The good are real as the sun, Are best perceived through clouds Of casual corruption That cannot kill the luminous sufficiency That shines on city, sea and wilderness, Fastidiously revealing One man to another, Who yet will not accept Responsibilities of light. The good incline to praise, To have the knack of seeing that The best is not destroyed Although forever threatened. The good go naked in all weathers, And by their nakedness rebuke The small protective sanities That hide men from themselves. The good are difficult to see Though open, rare, destructible; Always, they retain a kind of youth, The vulnerable grace Of any bird in flight, Content to be itself, Accomplished master and potential victim, Accepting what the earth or sky intends. I think that I know one or two Among my friends.
