You've never said or done anything warranting banning. Speaking one's mind in a nonconfrontational manner is what Lindaland was built on. At the time pre-CE was banning and censoring lots of people, which is why I started Lindaland to begin with. I guess I took free speech too far. Maybe Greg was right after all. If you want Peace on a site, you have to use a heavy hand.

It's not "listening in" if it's a public venue. We all have to be responsible for what we say/write. I've been doing some of that "thinking" myself lately.

You see many here who do not speak their mind in a nonconfrontational manner? Really? So do I. Well, not many...just a few.

ListensToTrees,

I would suggest if you (or anyone) are returning books, I would not send to a post office box. A physical mailing address is a normal request for most business`s.

It helps assure the person requesting the product are who they say they are.

Yes LTT , but if you have a physical address, you can do a search on "who" is listed as the owner and so forth.

Simply a small measure for those who may share your concerns.

I was not around this weekend and really have no idea what the issue is, nor do I really want to know.

I do realize everyone has a right to free speech. I also realize that Randall started this site, and has been more than accomodating and fair to many people over the years in letting them express themselves until they compromise the rules and ethics this site supports.

Again, I don't know what was said as the thread is gone, but I think that if he was an "unjust ruler," as some people are claiming him to be, going on and on about it stirring the pot and trying to get everyone to see how "unfair" he is is a waste of time and energy.

Yes, speak your mind, it's your right. As it is also his right to tell people they have gone too far and ask for some peace and fair play.

... something else I've noticed over the past five years: People always say "goodbye", then hang around continuing to gripe and bring up the negativity when if they were truly so put off, they should just go when they say they are going to. I just don't get it...

Commence the mudslinging my way, I'm sure it's coming...

Ok ghanima, I get it.... I thought you and I got along quite well but now it would seem otherwise.

To be honest, it was a relief not to be a moderator anymore- I need to be able to say what I feel no matter what. These things sure can seduce the ego.....no offense, it is just my observations concerning the human race and human behavior- I am human too after all.

Yeah, you pinned me. I'm on a power trip.

Not at all, actually. As I said, I have no idea what happened. As I also said, people have the right to say whatever they want. I have always been an objective observer on this site, and I will continue to do so.

My observation is of another person who has been wounded and now has to rant on and on about it, instead of letting peace exist, whether that means getting over the conflict themselves or removing themselves from the site, as they claim they are going to do. End of story.

And I have never had a problem with you. I think you have brought a lot of light and love to this site. It seems like the people here who have always been "love, peace, kindness" all the time take things the hardest and these confrontations/conflicts affect them the most.

I'm glad you are finally speaking your mind, I know you have been a doormat, as have I... there is a big difference between standing up for yourself and beating a dead horse.

Hopefully, as has happened countless times in the past, a resolution will be reached in this matter and we won't lose valued and loved members. But what will be, will be. You make your own destiny.

I wish you nothing but clariy and

why not giving names? you have your freedom of speech isn't it? or may be you don't want to hurt anyone, but it doesn't look like that otherwise you would not have mention "another person".

or we hide behind this excuse to sound good but in fact or words blame someone using this freedom of speech. could it be that, the freedom of speech you talk about ghanima? just a question.

ps: what is meant by freedom of speech?

One can only speak from his/ her own perspective.

God, I hate being human. We'll never see peace on Earth- its just not in the nature of this world or this reality.

I want to be Omnipresent.

I want to be at One with everything.

In this world, there is nothing but separation and competition for energy, whether we're talking of the food chain or things in general.

LTT, let me give you what i think is a valuable insight... create you peace, your peace, do everything for YOUR peace, everything that YOU can do. and FOR you. soon, you'll go back to where we all come from, and you'll leave behind this perfectly imperfect world necessary for the improvement of rest of us. if you desire peace in the world, it's because you recognised it inside yourself. so it's all god, hum good, sorry.

Always so predictable, these types of things.

Well, praecipua, it's been five years, there have been many people in that time that have done that. I find it undignified to say who, as an objective observer, it would not be prudent, I did not say that to start another argument. It's an observation. I'm sure many others who have been around for a while have seen it too.

Just an answer.

I was, I was comparing the situation to others I have seen happen before.

Once again, I said I did not know what happened, as the thread was deleted. I have now read it, and now know.

I could not keep up with everything this weekend. My post was in observation of the things that are still here and have been carried out since yesterday.

I meant no ill will, I was merely stating what I saw, have seen, and making a comment about how it has happened in the past.

Now that I have more background, I have the other side of the story.
