As surely as the moon changes, as symbolized in aspects of the maid/ mother and crone of the goddess, as surely as this, we can't escape from being human. We can't escape from our shadow selves. I hope that by venting my concerns some good will come, but results could be either good or bad. If I have judged wrongly, then let it be a lesson to those who are themselves SO QUICK to judge.
"The world is a looking glass and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face."
- William Makepeace Thackeray I feel so weary of it all now.
I feel tired of being human, tired of separation in the nature of our world. Where is the light? To the Moon Art thou pale for weariness Of climbing heaven, and gazing on the earth, Wandering companionless Among the stars that have a different birth,— And ever-changing, like a joyless eye That finds no object worth its constancy? -- Percy Bysshe Shelley IP: Logged |

Randall, I also believe you have been too lenient in the past. I hope you will now establish firm footing on middle ground. Obviously, this is your domain and you are, in a real sense, King. Carrying the analogy further, a King may be kind and fair, quietly ensuring the happiness of his people and the order of his realm. Or he may become a tyrant staring down peasants and pitchforks. Good luck with that, sir. I don't envy you.Generally, I don't feel comfortable with specifics but .... I've found Thor's recent behavior shameful. It's unbecoming a LL moderator and I'm surprised you've allowed it. Also, I don't believe I'm the only one confused by Bibi's incessent spamming. This would appear to be a double standard. Please explain. IP: Logged |

I don't have to explain. I do have an explanation; however, I'm tired of being put on the defensive. Love it or leave it. >>>I've found Thor's recent behavior shameful. It's unbecoming a LL moderator and I'm surprised you've allowed it. Not that I wish to be sneaky on Randall's affairs but I had the same thoughts. Mirandee led a great example by preaching "Do as I say and I do as I say ". Or whatever the saying goes. But I think she was wrong to have left. I would have respected her most if she stayed on as a knowflake and then left eventually. Or she would have been banned anyways if she walked around in Lindaland with her bitterness. Her leaving is another form of ego. I don't think it will be right to say which ego is better.

Thats only an opinion Mannu. It would be better if we ask the people concerned before speaking for them- I just thought I'd point this out, no hard feelings. If people would rather leave an atmosphere which they find undesirable, who are we to judge their reasons for it? IP: Logged |

In case anyone wonders why I brought stuff up again from the recent past, well, it was Randall's comment about picking some "weeds" on the deleted thread- because it made me so ANGRY in the light of everything that's happened. These things concern other people too- which have been discussed on other threads. this isn't about me, but I did use this example to illustrate.I don't believe in disrespecting one's host, but equally I do feel that one ought to feel able to be open enough to discuss things and aim to be fair. Everyone makes mistakes, but we have to be able to admit them first in order to move on. IP: Logged |

Would you have brought this up at CE? No? I didn't think so. Why? Because you respect CE. You have no respect for Lindaland. And if you have no respect for us, why are you still here? To be a foot soldier for those who control you? Wake up. Or stay asleep. Your choice. But please stop disrespecting us. Thank you. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. Yes, if I was in a similar situation there I would, but so far I have been here more so I've not had much time to spend there. Also, you are wrong in judging who I do and don't respect. IP: Logged |

LTT, I deleted your boodbye string, because it had spiralled into yet another negative session, and you really haven't said goodbye at all. Once again, please, show us the same respect you would CE, or...if you don't feel we have earned your respect...by all means move on. We are trying to rebuild here, not tear down. When one thinks about what LL is to them, and who LL represents I don't think a singular name comes to mind, so I believe it will always be viewed as unjust that all the power is in one person's hands, especially when there's an appearance of bias from that person.IP: Logged |

I do think it's great that the contention has been kept isolated to this one string (having deleted a couple of others). I want to thank everyone for not letting it spill into the other Forums. LTT, I think you're here not because you care about the site, but because of your Ego. And I have no problem with CE at all. My only problem is with a few of the Love and Lighters from there coming over here to sling their poop. Keep your poop in your own back yard, please. AG, there is bias in every aspect of Life. As there is criticism when decisions have to be made. This string will be closed soon, so let's all say our Peace. I take it no one wishes yet to leave? Or at least not in this public fashion? ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. I agree, there is bias. I would simply state that the appearance of bias can be managed in order to avoid situations like this.IP: Logged |

You could have been a part of the solution, but you stepped down. So, leave the Administration of Lindaland to me and my Mods. Thanks. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen.
