Yes, thank God for that, Tink! And while we are at it, let's thank Him for everything else too! lolI was thinking about the saying that we are never given more than we are able to handle in life, today. Wouldnt you say we are always being served what we deserve too? Even when it doesnt feel that way? Sometimes it takes some time and being honest with yourself to realize that. Whatever we have sent out comes back around in some form or another. Sometimes it just takes a little while. If we could look at people and situations and everything that "comes to us" as Gifts from God, everything would take on new meaning and this world would be a very different place. Which brings me to another favorite quote: If the only prayer you ever say in your whole life is "thank you," that would suffice. Meister Eckhart Thank you. IP: Logged |

"chillax"That's a new one. Randall, why are you using so much high school slang in your posts? You graduated high school a very long time ago. IP: Logged |

Reverse spiralling. That and the fact that it was very fitting...considering the antics of the last few days. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. A song for us all:"I'm Sorry" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEVp9UE_AYQ&feature=related ------------------ "To err is human, to forgive divine" ~Alexander Pope "It's just a ride & we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings & money, a choice, right now, between fear & love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off, the eyes of love instead see all of us as one"..... ~Bill Hicks

Calm. Down. Everyone. Now, do the following exercise:
Place a ruler on the floor. Take a book and balance it on your head. A5 hardback works best and won't fall off as easily as paperback.
Now, walk 10 steps forward along the line of the ruler, without the book falling off.
Then, retrace your steps, walking 10 steps backward, again without the book falling off.
All done?

When I came here, 1900+ some posts ago, this was a good place, a peaceful place, a place to learn from others....But I think the recent angst here is a general reflection upon the changes in society. AND I think alot more youthful individuals are here with alot more to say in light of their views, etc. than ever before..."me, me, me....." I worry about the generation after me, I respect the generation before me. MY generation........I just don't know..... And I am continually dismayed as to what goes on here, time after time, just a bunch of high school drama...no more learning, no more sharing, nothing...... I rarely come here, anymore, and when I do I try to extend and offer, and am always disappointed..... I give up.... There were alot of blessed souls that once graced the cyberland of LL, but now....a wasteland......I am very thankful for the few friends I retain from here, but for the most part...quite the proverbial "bad taste in the mouth......." re-mains......... I hardly think a few isolated strings make this a "barren wasteland." The rest of the site is always rather vibrant despite the occasional isolated conflicts of a few strings. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." You might want to peruse all the Forums. It seems very positive in Lindaland right now, and even in times of conflicts, if in a few strings, yes, that is isolated. Conflicts seem to be cyclical. And didn't you (in your Post) seek to contribute to the very same negativity that you criticize? ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Just making a point, Randall...Alot of folks have left, and the ones I have had contact with off-forum hold my sentiments as well... I really do, think, it is a reflection of the changes in society! The "youth" of the world is arising and I, for one, am quite concerned, from what I read here and see in the general public... Negative??? Maybe...however, it becomes so darn hard to re-main positive, loving, etc. in such a negative-based society... O, and I have browsed many threads......same thing, save for the blessed few....it is just an energy thing... It is just the way it is....sad, but true. T~~~ IP: Logged |

You are entitled to your opinions, of course. People come and go. Tis the story of life. We do the best we can. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. The youth are a bit disenchanted and feel disenfranchised. They are the future. Nothing you can really do about that kind of lightning-bolt change...lest you move to a shack in the mountains. Perhaps, what you view negative, others view as liberation. Look within, not without. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Both my brother and my father have moved to shacks in the forests. My father hasn't established his haven yet ( They are in different forests entirely)They live on solar power and my brother just acquired a bicycle for two which runs on battery power. So you see, it does happen. Can I just go ahead and like hug everyone? I mean, I have lots of love in my heart and I don't know what's going on around here or everywhere but I would like to extend some bubbles to anyone who requires them. I'll goose you in the bum if you like that sort of thing. God knows, I like it! Hippichick, Solane, Xena, here's a big ol'goose for you.. and Tara, I adore you, such a blessed soul you are.. Eleanore you are so wise and eloquent. Randall, good job. I know it's a hard one.. I like your voice lately, you're attached to this place more vocally than I have seen other than in old posts. ( Old back when I started posting here, in '03!!!) I know I left out a bunch of you , but you know I love you too. I miss Rainbow. IP: Logged |

Oh Jesus I don't know whats going on here, I'm new and I'm awake and bored so reading through all the posts. Everyone who is supposed to leave, just leave, you get off on being a thorn in the side. It's not that hard to do, be done with it, leave the site, find a new one somewhere else. Simple. Most of you are probably over 30 but seriously reading through this takes me back to high school. Get off your macho trip and make your exit. Done.IP: Logged |

Well, 2 or 3 times a year there's a big blowup here with hurt feelings, misunderstandings, people vowing to leave and all the drama that goes with it. This is the history.Merc retrogrades are hell. Retro Station...Mon, Jan 28 Direct Station...Tue, Feb 19 Return...Mon, Mar 10 Through it all, LindaLand survives and gets stronger. People leave and return because there's no place else like LindaLand...and no members like LindaLand members. Neither is there another webmaster like our incomparable Randall who makes it possible for all of us. IP: Logged |
