I'm adding one to For The Pilgrims Progress (preferably an avid book reader).I still need a couple of Mods for Lexigram Magic also. And I need four Mods for Private Readings--those who have been (or will) help out with the readings there. I have decided not to add any Mods in Global Unity (yet). Although the Topics are more volatile there, and the tolerance bar is significantly raised, for the most part people seem to self-govern very well there. As the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

Hi Randall, I'm nominating myself as mod for Pilgrims Progess, because I follow my nose to lead me to printed gems that I need at the moment and have found that others have come to need them as well. I am an avid reader on the esoteric and coincidentally, I am doing my internship at my local library and guess what I'm doing for my major project? Weeding! In such a short period of time I have come across some of the most eye (third) opening knowledge every written and it's FREE. I am certainly not an expert or have come to live completely through my True Self, yet, but my goal is to be fully awakened in THIS lifetime, and you can't do that without sharing. Although not fully aware of what is expected of a moderator, I am willing to learn There's a lot I'd like to say but it's getting late. Thank you for your consideration. Peace IP: Logged |

Nice resume Starr, I'll second that nomination.I nominate Geo for Private Readings forum, if she wants it, she's already doing the work and sharing her energy anyway, she might as well be recognized (and applauded) for it. IP: Logged |

Just curious, Randall ... do the prospective moderators need to be knowledgeable/skilled/practicing/very interested in the areas covered by them? Or can anyone be a moderator so long as you approve of them and they are willing to frequent their forum and try to keep things copacetic? I'm asking because there are a lot of folks around who (imo) would make good mods but they don't always visit LM nor do I think they all personally practice lexigrams. IP: Logged |

With Lexigram Magic, I think it's best that they have a love for the subject matter. That way, we might also get more posted Lexigrams for words and phrases and so forth. Since you are the Senior Mod, I'll let you make the choice. Shea hasn't been around, so she probably should be dropped. If you don't want any help, I will respect that also. So, from zero to three more Mods can be added. Your choice. I concur about starr33. I'll add you later today. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. Someone calm, reasonable and scandal free. Please. Lately I'm feeling the need for a shot of emetrol before visiting LL and that makes me very sad.IP: Logged |

Nah, I don't think is that bad. Only people giving their opinions. IP: Logged |

I'm all for the exchange of opinions and observations. Why else would I be here? It's very often not what we say, but the manner in which it is said. This is where calm and reasonable come into play. It's all too easy to surrender into fits of hysteria. Don't get me wrong - a little bit of hysteria can be entertaining. But not in a moderator. Please. It's counter productive.IP: Logged |

TINK, I agree, wholeheartedly... But in some instances, mods need to have a pair... ..at least to defend themselves or whoever is being attacked. I know people are a bit more aggressive and outspoken than before, but I honestly believe it's been mostly in GU (as always) and the Astro forum. You definately see it still in FFA, but I think people who do not want to participate in the negativity, have been steering clear of it. I gave up on thinking people could just get along a long time ago... it's not in our nature... Nice concept, though. (breaks my triple Aquarian heart) But as Randall said about GU, most people on this site tend to self-govern; I think they do have respect for what this site is all about. Ghani IP: Logged |

Wow! Thanks Randall and MysticMelody. I'm truly honored and will do my best. Is there, say, a moderator's handbook of sorts I should be aware of?IP: Logged |

And you have to put up with ungrateful people like BR.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Cheeky, mon webmaster!! starr33, I just like to think of it this way: "We must indeed all hang totether, or, most assuredly, we shall hang apart." ~ Ben Franklin Easier said than done... "That which is not good for the bee hive cannot be good for the bees." ~ Marcus Aurelius Just stick with what this site is all about, you'll do fine... "Two things fill the mind with ever-increasing wonder and awe, ... the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me." ~ Immanuel Kant Ghani (i'm a quote loser... hehe) IP: Logged |
