Heya Zala; In the famous words of Joey, "How you doin?" Lol!Just curious as to if you made a decision on which console to buy for your son. Now I may be posting this up way too late since you asked for advice regarding that topic ages ago Lol! But if you still haven't made a decision, well... This little diddy by Nintendo might tip the scales of judgement so to speak Lol! (and yes... It also has a Yoga application .) http://www.nintendo.com/wiifit/launch/ Wii Fit: Nintendo's Wii system is famous for getting people off the couch to play its tennis and bowling games; now the company aims to introduce users to yoga moves, ab crunches and push-ups, all performed atop the new Wii Balance Board, as the platform is called. Wii Fit has already proved popular in Japan, where it has sold 2 million units since its release last year. Design of the hardware and software was overseen by Shigeru Miyamoto, the famous Nintendo game designer behind many of the company's biggest hits, such as the Mario franchise. Game companies have a long and mostly unsuccessful history of trying to tie physical activity to video games. The idea goes back at least 25 years, to the heyday of the Atari 2600 game console, which had a similar-in-spirit device called the Joyboard. In more recent years, some games designed for the PlayStation 2 used a special camera to try to "watch" users' movements as they did aerobics programs with the system.

Lol! Zala, you just happen to be a Libra Sun with a Leo moon and if you're anything like me then I know you want your fitness schedual to not be lame . We need things to be "stimulating" Lol!Oh he wants WiFi? Well with DS, I say it isn't a problem since WiFi services for the most part are free unless you just happen to be downloading something. You will just need the WiFi connector. The only downside I see to it is the connector itself is a bit sensitive; Kind of like a USB flash drive. I am more a PSP person Lol! IP: Logged |

Zala:On the nose babelicious. The WiFi connector looks something like a USB flash drive: You have to buy it as a seperate accessory but unlike X-box live services, Wi-Fi is relitively free barring a few download options. Lol! Oh Zala... The stars might not be on our side but a rose by any other name (or major three Astro positions) is still a rose . Offcourse I love you still . IP: Logged |

Naughty BR!! You didn't poop on your papers!! X-man, thanks for the info!! Now comes the questions ~ What does that doohinkus plug into -- his DS or into my computer USB port?? What "happens," ie what does he get, when he HAS this wifi connection?? Can he download games from somewhere?? We had a $275 adventure with downloading when he got a cellphone for Christmas so I would rather not repeat that financial disaster again -- he was oh-so dead and oh-so grounded **edit** Hmmm, I've been reading at Wiki and it says that the contraption only works with XP and Vista PCs and I'm still running Win2K IP: Logged |

Zala:a) Lol! The Wi-Fi connector attaches itself to your computer and acts as a wireless network connection between the DS and the computer. It will occupy one of your computer's USB ports though. b) The connection allows the DS user to log onto the internet via broadband and allows the user to play Wi-Fi network compatible DS games. That service is free. However, there are certain downloads that will cost you a bit but you don't HAVE to download any of that stuff Lol! c) Yeah... the compatibility issue is the draw back .
