And as on men there are so many different opinion on what good acting is. I for my part think the scenes you quoted are an expample for BRILLIANT acting, no matter if he intended to do it that way, or it just came naturally to him.I love it how his voice only subtly changes, and it does change, listen carefully! That "wherever you are" is spoken very low compared to the first part. It`s hypnotic, seductive, entrancing. He`s not a hunter, who will just lunge at his prey and tear it apart. He`s a seducer, an observer, almost like a spider (how PLUTONIC!). He sits there and waits; he seduces his victim into believing she is the one taking the action, she comes voluntarily to him, he just sits there and lures her into his web. He waits, his only "weapons" are his eyes and this low sensual voice, and those weapons are DEADLY. He`s controlled, calm on the surface, but beneath there`s something boiling. He can`t be with the humans, can`t belong to them, and yet he can`T stay away either. There`s such a deep vulnerability about him, he`s torn inside. But at the end of the day he`s a creature of the night, a killer, and he knows that. But he`s so enticing that his victims don`t realize that. That is the reason why he shows Jesse what he REALLY is on that bench. And later on, when he is giving her his blood, when she lies in his arms and he only looks down on her, holding her, feeding her, there`s so much affection, compassion and yes, love, in his eyes. NOt one word is spoken, and it`s SOO intense in a calm way intense. He`s perfect as Lestat. He is MY Lestat. He`s actually the man I`ve been fantasizing about since I started to fantasize about men; he`s the man I`ve been writing all my stories about. Just that I didn`t know back then, because I neither knew Anne Rice`s books nor did I know Stuart Townsend. But you can`t imagine how SHOCKED I was when I saw that film, and realized that it was HIM, I had been writing my last story about and all those others before. Even though in that last story he was taking a very distinct form, I could almost see him in my mind. (Actually I started writing with someone else in mind, but then my protagonist suddenly took a form of his own, which didn`t resemble the original "inspiration" anymore.) And there was this scene from a movie, I saw inside my mind, which started my story, and this scene is the one where Jesse comes to him and they go flying. I saw that scene in my mind, even BEFORE I saw the film, and I had never seen snippets of that film before. I just wasn`t interested in "Queen of the Damned". And then I saw the film nevertheless and I almost fainted; the man I had been writing about under the name of "Jaron" and "Sean" ACTUALLY existed and his name is Stuart Townsend.

And look at these midpoints:his Sun/Moon conjuncts my Moon (1) his Venus Mars semisquares my Venus (1) my VEnus / Mars conjuncts his Sun widely (2,5) his Venus / Pluto semisquares my Karma (1) his Mars / Pluto semisquares my NN (1,5) my Mars / Pluto conjunct his Sun (1) his Eros / Psyche semisquares my Psyche (orb: 0°12) my Eros / Psyche opposite his Psyche (orb: 0°44) my Sun / Moon semisquares his Draco Sun (0) his Mars / Pluto oposes my Draco Venus (0) my Mars / Pluto squares his Draco Venus (0) Some interpretations on these neat little midpoints: his Sun / Moon conjuncts my Moon: + warm-hearted. nurturing. caring. active. enterprising. helpful. caring. sympathetic. well-intentioned. affectionate. giving. personally involved with others. Body and soul. Husband and wife. Complementary partnership.
his Venus / Mars semisquares my Venus +passionate. instinctive. spontaneous. charming. enchanting. sexually appealing. provocative. people-oriented. To arouse sympathy or attraction. To give pleasure. To act out of love. Donation. Passion. To enjoy doing something. sexuality. Artistic activity. - carnal. emotionally impulsive. flirtatious. sexually obsessed. my Venus / Mars conjuncts his Sun + passionate. high-spirited. highly sexual. provocative. Actions motivated by love for a man. Demonstrations of sympathy. To offer loving assistance to someone. Sexual desire. To demonstrate one's feelings. Blood relationship. Days of passion. - nymphomaniac. prone to emotional outbursts. flirtatious. impetuous. wild. Sexual love of the body. Determination to marriage. Procreation. To be bodily together with intimate friends or blood relatives. Male relatives.
DW of Mars / Pluto aspecting Draco Venus + competent as a lover. high-spirited. highly passionate. giving, congenial. people-oriented. sontaneous. capable at artistic development. Enjoyment of increasing activities. To create peace and harmony. Development of intimate acquaintanceship. Increase of passion. Changes in connection with sexuality. To experience changes of loved ones. To contribute to enjoyment of development or growth. Increasing artistic work. - impetuous. lacking in self-control. easily carried away to excess. licentious. [exploitive in love when unevolved.] Oh BTW we have a Double Whammy on Psyche-Actor. His Actor conjuncts my Psyche; my Actor opposes his Psyche Maybe that is why I feel in tune with his acting? And I love that understatement, and above all I love his Irish accent, like he has for example in "Trojan Eddie". '*sighs* It`s like coming home, like I felt when I made my first step onto Irish ground. I had the feeling I had come home. And when I hear him talk like that, I have that feeling again. Curiously it`s only him who can evoke that "Irish" feeling inside me. Colin Farell can talk as long as he want, there is nothing happening inside me. Maybe the reason for that "home" feeling is, that - if his ASC is right- his Moon falls onto my IC, while his IC conjuncs my Sun. DD

ddthe irish accent - voice. i find liam neeson's really appealing. he speaks with beautiful tone in his voice and he always brings a warmth and compassion to his characters. he makes them human and perfect with all their flaws. he uses simple nuances like off timing to deliver a line or a change of expression by just one part of his face. i know nothing about acting. if you watch alexander siddig in kingdom of heaven - just the compassion that he brings to his character through simple gestures and facial expressions is awesome. i enjoy watching his acting and he has a lovely voice and tone too. i have never seen stuart townsend in a movie. not ever. so i don't know. i don't find him good looking. the only thing i know about him is that he's charlize theron's beau. that's it. otherwise i wouldn't know who he is at all. PA,I don`t think he`s really goodlooking either. I found him very sexy in this film, but that doesn`t mean I find him sexy in everything else. It`s strange. Sometimes, watching him in a film, I find him almost boring, at least not very appealing, and then all of a sudden, even in the same film, it hits me straight into my solar plexus and his "aura", that I hadn`t even really noticed the moment before, just takes my breath away. It`s not his looks, it`s not even his voice, even htough I find it extremely sexy, it`s something I cannot describe. Sometimes, and not only as Lestat, he just strikes a chord inside me, something that feels almost "ancient", primal and somehow raw; I don`t know, what this is exactly, as I said I can`t describe it. So, I`d be very curious to see if you can see anything in the chart which I fail to notice. BTW Liam Neeson is nice, but he does nothing to me. DD IP: Logged |

Meta,if you`re looking for someone with Venus in Scorpio, well Stuart has Venus AND Mars in Scorpio. But I looked at your chart and it seems that his Venus doesn`t connect to your Scorpio-planets. If I got his ASC right, his ASC does not link to your planets, not even ONE. So, you`d be very unimpressed by his appearance, as you stated clearly. His Moon doesn`t connect to your planets either. His Venus trines your Pan, but that`s it, and honestly, this doesn`t look like a very strong aspect. HIs Mars trines your Venus though - maybe YOU are delusional? His Mars also opposes your Mars, which is not too good for attraction either. His Eros trines your ASC, while your Eros doesn`t do anyhting with his personal planets. So maybe he would feel a certain attraction to you, but I guess that would remain onesided. So except for the Mars-Venus-trine there is just NOTHING in your synastry, just like in my synastry with Ralph, you remember?

Looking at my own synastry with him, as I did it with yours I see:His Sun conjunct my Sun His Sun conjunct my DSC-ruler Mercury His Moon trines my Mars, Neptune, NN and ASC His Moon conjuncts my IC, opposes my Pluto and squares my Venus His Mercury conjunct my IC-ruler Mars His Venus conjuncts my Valentine and trines my Destinn His Mars squares my Moon and trines my Juno in Pisces as well as my Eros, Vertex and Pan in Cancer and conjuncts my Anteros exactly His Pluto squares my Venus His Valentine opposes my Venus and squares my Pluto His Eros conjuncts my chartruler Jupiter Maybe the most interesting thing in this rather mediocre synastry is the two planetary configurations I noticed:
A Grand Water trine of: His Mars (20)/ my Anteros (20) in Scorpio trine my Juno (17) in Pisces trine my Eros (22) / Pan (22) / Vertex (22) / Destinn (24)/ Saturn (17) in Cancer A Grand Cross in the cardinal signs:
His Moon (9) / my IC (5) in Aries opposite my Pluto (10) / my MC (5) / his Pluto (5) in Libra square his Valentine (10) in Cancer opposite my Venus (7) in Capricorn IP: Logged |

meta and ddfrom astrotheme - a list of over 2000 men with venus in scorp. i must admit, astrologically speaking, for venus, this would be my ideal. but my mars is in taurus so the degrees would be vital especially as scorpy is my 8th house too. i note that ioan is on the list. with joaquin phoenix who i find very interesting. matt damon, denzel washington, gerard butler (another interesting one), ralph fiennes (get me a bucket i'm gonna ralph), i think scorpy venus would match nicely with sagi sun for me. probably with merc in sagi too. just noticed that stuart has those! hmm, should do a synatry. maybe scorpy merc might be better - but with my aries merc i need someone openly communicative and fun - so sag is more appealing. http://www.astrotheme.fr/en/celebrites/criteres.php actually dd what you said about stuart and his character - i find that - i find the characters more appealing/attractive than the actors. i tend to fall in love with the character and not the actor.

REgarding the character:Yes, definitely. Oh I remember how I fell for Gerald Butler as Dracula, and in Tomb Raider 2 (yes, I`ve seen it ), in Attila and Phantom of the Opera, and I fell HARD for a certain time. But now, when I look at him, nothing, NADA. It`s gone. I`m sorry, Mr. Butler, I may have failed to tell you, but I have broken up with you. Our love was so stormy and intense it couldn`t last, you know? Yada, yada, whatever you say when you want to get rid of someone, you really can`t stand anymore. lol
However, I`m definitely falling more for the characters than the actors. Jude is the only exception here. I don`t know. I never really liked the characters he portrayed. Come on, in "Closer" he was a WIMP, an unbearable WEAKLING, in "Wisdom of the Crocodiles" he was as bloodless as his victims. Where was the erotic sensuality of vampire films in that one? Oh and in "The talented Mr. Ripley" - he was a selfish, spoiled, arrogant, malicious little brat, and he deserved a good hit on the back of his head (the character, not him). Or what about "Alfie"? Please, you can`t seriously fall for THAT character, can you? Whiney, arrogant, without direction in life, full of selfpity (seems to be a theme here ).

Seems I donīt like his characters, not at all, and yet I ended up, being so compelled by him. I mean, it`s a little bit strange, I don`t like his films, but just HAVE to watch every single of them.Well, right now I don`t really feel like liking him at all. Another strange thing is that he is only 2 weeks younger than Stuart, and the synastries are so DIFFERENT.
For now I will rather remain with STuart, because there`s something very nice and uncomplicated about being attracted by his screen-personality. It`s not so overfraught with thinking and analysing and all that stuff. It`s pretty straight and simple, just physical and instinctual. DD IP: Logged |

ddi think your sexual attraction to stuart definitely comes from your mars conjunct his neptune in your 12th house. sun's conjunct are sweet. karma and saturn conjunct is really interesting. your mercury and sun conjunct his sun - would explain why you find his acting appealing to you - the way he delivers his lines resonates with you. your pluto feels his opposite moon. your eros trine his mars and venus - so again sexual attraction. your chiron is in his 8th house so you probably feel some kind of soothing from the love that his characters show - a healing feeling. your saturn opposite his jupiter so there is this push pull thing happening - stop start - freedom/restriction - conflict of energies. never in the same mood at the same time. PA,yes, you`re right. Jude comes across as very effeminate or however it is spelled, wimpy; besides his Venus is in the wrong sign. WEll, I have to explain, but I EXCLUSIVELY feel attracted to guys with Venus in a yin-sign. Paricularly, Capricorn, Taurus, sometimes Pisces, and definitely Scorpio, oh YES, give me a Scorpio Venus- PLEASE? Must be my Venus square Pluto, that just goes weak in the knees with men with Venus in Scorpio (oophs, Mr Butler also has Scorpio-Venus and it`s even conjunct my Uranus - now wonder he is so enthralled with me ). From time to time a Virgo Venus could gain my interest for some moments, too, but never a Cancer-Venus, never, never, never. Sorry, Keanu Reeves, we just weren`t meant to be. But actually I`m pretty simple. Venus in Capricorn, Taurus and SCorpio - that`s it. (only exception Aries-Venus, maybe). And Jude has Venus in Sagittarius - oops where came that Venus from? But since I have so much in Sagittarius it`s okay I think. Signwise Stuart is my absolute dreamguy astrologically. Sun in Sagittarius - okay, that could be a tad too familiar I guess. But since it conjuncts my DSC-ruler, okay, accepted. Moon in Aries - *Swoon* Oh how I love those Arians, Sun or Moon preferably. I don`t know my IC, and my Draconic Sun, Mercury and Venus are getting so excited about this. ACtually his Draco Moon is in the same sign as my Draco Moon and in the opposite sign of my tropical Sun, while his tropical Moon is in the same sign as my Draco Sun. His tropical Sun is in the opposite sign of my Draco Moon - and then his Sun-Moon-midpoint conjunct my Moon, it`s nice. His Mercury in Sagittarius - I told you, that this is my most favourite Mercury sign apart from Mercury in Aries, and Mercury rules my DSC, Important important.
His Venus and Mars in Scorpio, wow! My Venus in Capricorn square Pluto rejoices, or actually as SAturnian - plutonic she is, a dark intense strangely pleased glimmer appears in her eyes.
Mars in Scorpio could be a problem though for my Mars in Sagittarius conjunct Neptune. But anything that satisfies my Venus doesn`t agree with my Mars. However with his Sag-Sun he might be able to satisfy my Mars. IP: Logged |

You think Mars-Neptune is sign of sexual attraction? Why?I always thought Neptune conjunct Mars would dissolve the sexual attraction and make it purely spiritual and platonic? Please explain? The Karma-Saturn-conjunction also appears in my synastry with Jude, of course, but interestingly in Jude`s chart it is opposite his Venus, while in Stuart`s chart it`s opposite his own Karma. Interesting.
Eros trine Venus is unfortunately too wide I guess (5°). But maybe his Mars pulls Venus into the aspect? The Saturn-SN - conjunction, which is also present in Jude and my synastry, gets personalized, because Stuart`s Mars trines it and my Moon is exactly quinkunx my Saturn (and his SN). In Jude`s chart he doesn`t have anything near 17° except for his Jupiter, but this one is chartruler for him, so probably it`s also personalized in his case. I donīt know I feel like those generational aspects are only effective, if they are tied to personal planets or angles in BOTH cahrts. Well, that would be okay for the Pluto-Venus-square in both cases; it squares Jude`s Sun and opposes Stuart`s Moon. But of course we assume that he really has a Virgo ASC. What do you say? Does this ASC seem right to you? IP: Logged | |
