I sent a moonstone along with my mom to give to my sister;
it is supposed to be beneficial to have a moonstone at the birth.

I also typed out a horoscope for the kid really fast.

At the risk of influencing expectations on the child,
this is what I found, and what I sent along for the parents to read:

Sun 22’ Gemini
Venus 24’ Gemini
Mercury 14’ Gemini
Mars 19’ Leo
Jupiter 20’ Capricorn
Saturn 3’ Virgo
Uranus 22’ Pisces
Neptune 24’ Aquarius
Pluto 0’ Capricorn
Chiron 20’ Aquarius
True Node 20’ Aquarius

Moon will be in the last degrees of Libra.
The last degrees of Libra are known
For imparting great beauty,
As is the Sun/Venus conjunction.
So, this will be a good-looking kid.

This child will be highly intelligent,
w/ Sun and Moon in air signs,
and also the exact square from Sun to Uranus.
This square indicates a brilliant, independent mind.
People with Sun square Uranus are often rebels,
Operating outside the established order.
Comedian John Stewart has this aspect.

The Sun is also Trine Neptune,
Which is common among mystics and artists.
Venus is exactly trine Neptune –
This indicates profound compassion
And artistic sensitivity.

Chiron conjunct True Node (also called ‘North Node’),
and trine Sun and Venus, suggests a possible destiny as a healer.

Mars in Leo is a performer and possibly a leader of men.
Saturn in Virgo and Jupiter in Capricorn (both earth signs)
Will help stabilize and ground the character;
These are very practical placements.

I am thinking that, with the Gemini,
And all that Venus and Neptune,
This is perhaps the chart of a writer or poet.
Even as a toddler, he/she will be precocious,
And sensitive to language –
Nursery rhymes and rhymes in general,
Will have a pronounced effect.

Moon in Libra further adds to the potential for artistic ability.
And will also do much to soften the willfulness of Sun-Uranus,
So that, while being fiercely independent,
The child will also have a talent for compromise and diplomacy.
This is also true of Sun/Venus, but this conjunction
Will be squared by Uranus, so,
it is more unorthodox in its operation.
Love affairs will begin and end suddenly,
And partners will be eccentric, or the pairing itself
Will be different and unusual in some way.
For instance, inter-racial relationships fit this configuration.

The time of birth will be significant –
So be sure to mark the correct time; to the minute!

Particularly, we hope to see aspects
From the Ascendant to Saturn,
Or Saturn possibly in the 1st house.
This will provide discipline and ambition.

Saturn is trine Pluto, so, that is a big help,
Imparting seriousness, ambition, and solid, pragmatic sense.
But, without the ascendant or 1st house involved,
This configuration will not be a significant part of the character.

Because of the close alignments to the outer planets,
This is a very auspicious time to be born.

This child will be very special,
And it is your responsibility not to influence the child too much.
Be prepared to learn from this child –
This is probably a very old and powerful soul.

I'm excited. This looks like my kind of kid.
The folks are fairly conventional, like my folks,
but this kid is almost definitely going to be different, like me.
I expect my sister and brother-in-law will want to consult me from time to time.
At least, I hope they will. I feel so protective of kids like this,
and I hate to see their creativity and differences undervalued and misunderstood.
My sis and bro-in-law are very kind-hearted people, though,
-- (she is a Pisces and he is a Cancer) --
and I know that this child will grow up with lots of love.

yeah, this is her first kid,
and my first time as an uncle.

I have a theory that Uranus in the natal chart
has an association to the uncle. - what do you think?

Yeah, Leo's a trip.
And his Ascendant conjuncts my Jupiter by 1 degree
(and my Ascendant conjuncts his Jupiter exactly)!
Lets hope he can handle that 1st house Leo Mars..
I think with all the Venus and Neptune he'll probably have a healthy balance of energies.
