Thank you both. But I really am no guru, I`m just learning and trying to "break down" the flood of information a little so I can get a handle on them in my poor limited brain. Also, Lechien your post shows clearly I`m spending too much time on here, flooding the board with my fleeting thoughts. I guess I am obsessed with this place; do I have to go to the clinic now? yes ddyou have a serious problem. not sure that "the clinic" can help you as generally that is where we refer to people who have sexually transmitted diseases. but you could try to consult and find out statistically which star signs use protection and which don't. IP: Logged |

ROFLI didn`t know that. I guess I just transferred the word from my native tongue; I meant hospital actually. LOL But who knows maybe it was a Freudian slip? IP: Logged |

roflmfao!i know - it's so hard to work around the slang and different interpretations. we have a really funny one here in australia. the americans use the word "fanny" as another word for bum. but "fanny" in australia is slang for vagina. it's hilarious. IP: Logged |

PA,you know I would love to look at any of your charts, but I`m afraid I can`t see the life purpose in a chart. I don`t even know if I know the meaning of the word "life purpose"; I somehow can`t get a firm grip on this. Or are we talking about your profession (MC) or lifepath (NN) here? IP: Logged |

No, "clinic" here doesn't imply that you're seeking some medication for an unfortunate physical encounter Clinics can be many things -- mainly a building with doctors' offices in it where you can be diagnosed and even be treated on an outpatient basis for anything.....Merriam-Webster sez: Main Entry: clin·ic Pronunciation: \kli-nik\ Function: noun Etymology: French clinique, from Greek klinikç medical practice at the sickbed, from feminine of klinikos of a bed, from klinç bed, from klinein to lean, recline — more at lean Date: 1827 1: a class of medical instruction in which patients are examined and discussed 2: a group meeting devoted to the analysis and solution of concrete problems or to the acquiring of specific skills or knowledge <writing clinics> <golf clinics> 3 a: a facility (as of a hospital) for diagnosis and treatment of outpatients 3 b: a group practice in which several physicians work cooperatively 4: a facility that offers professional services or consultation usually at discounted rates <a legal clinic> IP: Logged |

hi zalawell, maybe it's an aussie american translation slang because the only time clinic is used is for reference to "the clinic" as in std's, sexual health issues. so when that's said that's how it is generally comprehended. ahh - gotta love our differences! so slight and yet makes such a difference.
