I've only seen the first few eps of s1. Overall, I thought it was good mind candy, but only Dead Man Dating was one that really pulled me in (I even cried watching it). One day when I'm bored, I'll probably rent more (or--more likely--someone will loan them to me). Having mixed with neopagans (including wiccans) in Frisco, I recall finding the show amusing in how it portrayed Wiccans in San Francisco. IIRC, there was even a lightning storm (for mood, I guess) early on. I think about all shows and movies with real life locations are notorious for being warped versions of the real thing, and seeing that for myself was mildly amusing & interesting to me. I've practiced witchcraft in the past, may again in the future, but I'm not Wiccan. And while I'm sure it doesn't need to be said, I'll say it anyway: this show is mind candy, and shouldn't be used as a learning tool for witchcraft in general or Wicca specifically, anymore than the movie Stigmata should be used to learn about Christianity. But it can be a fun way to kill some time, even for plenty of Wiccans that like (or even love) the show. IP: Logged |

LNyes, used to watch it. loved it. funny thing too - watching it made me want to be like them. strangely, watching shows like that always makes me feel like there's something missing. there's a movie with nicole kidman and sandra bullock where they play witches and are sisters - and it makes me feel like there's something greatly missing too. must be a witch thing - past life perhaps? I like "Charmed", too. I also liked "Buffy" (except for the heroine of the show - it`s like with Harry Potter, I like almost everyone in that book except for him).Oh and for the second question: maybe I have been a witch in a previous life. When I was born, I was having a birthmark, that looked like I had been burned, after all. It has disappeared by now. Another strange thing is, I still can hear the fire crackle, the heat and still have that horrible smell of burning flesh in my nose. And when I was a child I was terribly scared of fire. It was almost ridiculous, I was panicking each time someone lit a candle. And I never, never lit one myself. ACtually I think I was about 13 when I lit my first candle. lol (I still don`t like doing it) And if there was something hot somewhere (like an oven) and I was careless for a little moment, I used to burn myself all the time. And as a child I was having terrible nightmares of my family and me being enclosed by fire, sometimes in a house, sometimes somewhere else. It`s really ironical, that astrologically my Sun, Mercury, Mars, Neptune, AC, NN and IC are in firesigns. Me with so much terror of fire, has such a firedominance in her chart. lol IP: Logged |

Oh, goodie. Other people who like it. It's on four times a day. Twice in the am and twice in the pm. It's on TNT, so check your local listings. It really is good lighthearted fun. A nice escape. "Practical Magic" was good too. I saw that when it first came out. Midnight Margaritas! Did you see "Craft?" That was a lot darker. Dervish:It would be really scary if someone tried to practice magic from that show, though. It's really very involved and serious. It scares me a bit to try it. That's really cool about San Fran. I can see wanting to be like them. They're all good, positive characters. I think I'm most like Piper, but I'd like to be more like Phoebe. Hey, what do you think their signs are? I'm going to think about that when I watch tomorrow. Maybe we were all witches in a past life. We should start a coven! IP: Logged |

No one is into this thread, but I am getting clearer on their signs. Prudence: Aquarius Phoebe: Definately fire. Aries or sag. Still on the fence with her. Piper: Virgo Paige: Pisces IP: Logged |

Well, the actresses are:Prue: Aries Phoebe: Sagittarius Piper: Sagittarius Paige: Virgo I thought it was highly interesting, that in this other show "Buffy", where women were pictured as rather strong and indpenedent (at least most of the time), the actresses also had a high fire influence (and the men had much water in their charts): Buffy: Aries Willow: Double Aries Cordelia: Leo Anya: Aries Faith, who was a Capricorn (at least the actress who played Faith), was made the "evil", Buffy`s antagonist and had to leave the show. Interesting. But back to charmed, why do you think Prue is an Aquarius? I don`t really see that side in her. I`d have thought she could maybe be a Capricorn, at least at the beginning of the show.

I just started watching the one's with Prue. I've only seen about 4 episodes with her in them. I was going to say Leo, but then I said Aqua because she doesn't express her feelings. She's a bit detached too. So far...It is interesting that they are mostly fire. Fire women emit a really strong, independent vibe. I haven't seen Buffy in years. It would probably be a show I'd be into. IP: Logged |

Leo was the second choice I would have made for Prue, maybe a Cappy / Leo - mix? I don`t "crazyness" of an Aqua in her.IP: Logged |

Yeah, I'll have to keep watching her. The series just re-set to the first season, so I am not real knowledgeable about her yet. The universe is trying to tell you something! IP: Logged |

Yeah, it is, I guess."11" always was my "destiny number"; at least I called it that, even long before I ever knew of numerology. But I couldn`T help noticing that I almost always ended up row 11 or seat 11 in a theatre. lol And lately the "11" just keep on rolling through my life. IP: Logged |
