Just checked the videotext to see what film will be on tonight, and one channel shows "Wisdom of the crocodiles" with Jude, which - coincidentally - is the film that started it for me.
I had seen "Closer" before, but "wisdom of the crocodiles" was the one that "sealed my fate" so to speak.

And they NEVER show this on on TV, not usually anyway. It`s probably too much of a "talkative" film, too chinese, very different from your usual Vampire films.

But some of the dialogue and monologues really have burned inside my heart.

"The line that separates good and evil cuts through every human heart. And who is willing to destroy a piece of their own heart?"

ACtually, after I had first seen it I was convinced I neither liked the film nor Jude.
And then some time later I realized, that I had spent WEEKS just talking about that film and Jude and analyzing both.
It`s something that just grows on you.

Well, no, it`s something that hits you so deeply, that you can`t fathom the true depth. It`s just too deep and too much for your mind to grasp all at once, so it has to put it together piece for piece.

That's why I never go onto youtube to watch him and I've put away the videos. Last time I saw them was last year bar this morning to get a few of these snapshots off which involved fast-forwarding. Even pictures are unbearable sometimes but I've learnt to accept it was not to be and not seeing things like this helps me.
