LOL - frequently. But it's so hard in that moment to stop and share and explain it to someone else. So it's always a private thing I relive or relate to the situation in my own head and have a laugh, or whatever.

Yes! I don't tell anyone. Just share a smile with myself.

I would just think you would feel like brooding is a waste of time and energy.

Yeah, it is. Very self-indulgent. Not for me.

I can get down - I have massive highs and lows. I can go from elation to hell in less than a second. But I never stay there very long. It's very brief. I don't dwell. I crawl my way out because I can't stand the depth of the pain. Better to work through it and out of there than sit in that. No thanks.

Is it just those really intense scenes that resonate with you? Or are there any light/breezy/funny ones too?

Both - serious and comical. There are moments in my life where I'm reminded of Bridget Jones. It's a shocker! Great movie. Great kiss, btw - with her and Hugh Grant's character. Nice.

I KNOW! It really is crazy. Actually, I can't believe this is the only thread of this kind on-site. Just seems strange.

Eh. Kinda soft kisser for me- Hugh Grant.

I'm not saying that i don't remember light scenes, or that i don't enjoy them. I'm saying that i am more enthralled with Ralph's monologue in Onegin than i am with Renee Zellweger's prison stay in BJD 2.

I have to go. It's Thursday. Time to help the kindy kids do art again.

We're very similar, you and I. We just really want to be seen for the beauty we both think we possess inside. Just for some reason we need others to tell us it's there.

This is going to sound strange, but I couldn't get into the second one because of the colour of her skin. She was orange!

LOL - same with Brad Pitt in Troy. No way was he Achilles. I mean - he too - was this strange shade of orange. And if you watch the movie intently, you'll see that his chest hair comes and goes. It's hilarious. Sean Bean was outstanding in that. Achilles is supposed to be part God! Brad just didn't convey that. His acting was terrible. And that's a shame, because he can actually act.

PA,

"There's no such thing. You are seeking the ultimate security - that this one person is going to love you and be devoted to you and want to be with you and only you forever."
Actually it`s the other way round. I want the ultimate security, that I am going to love him and be devoted to him and want to with him and only him forever.
It`s my feelings I question. That`s why this sort of doubt is pretty painful. If I can`t even trust myself, that I will feel in a year what I am feeling now, makes it kinda difficult to make a decision.

I like what Stu and Charlize said about their relationship, that they just live it from day to day and make that decision to be together just for the present day instead of thinking too far ahead.

"nd forcing otherwise is rape on whatever level it occurs."
Yes, and I definitely wouldn`t want this.
I think, in the end I want to be convinced of what I am already feeling inside.

PA,

I really liked what you wrote about total openness and surrendering to each other.

I think true intimacy is only possible, if there is a deep felt trust.
You can be very different superficially, but your soul has to trust each other for intimacy to occur.

Oh gee god! That cake! Some things just aren't meant to be so large.

But what an insatiable s1ut that cake is, huh? I heard she let everyone at the party have a piece. Hardy har har.

Oh. Was that aimed at me, and what I had said to PA? You can give it to me straight, I prefer it that way. Having seen your chart, I can't promise not to cry. And it's very likely I'll p1ss myself, too. But fluids dry and life goes on. And diaper rash is easily treated.

Paranoia!

I was talking about the Mars in 10th house thread on the astro-forum.

It's not really aimed at anyone in particular. It's a general thing about being fatalistic about the interpretation of astrological placements.

... will put the rest of the rant later below....

Paranoid, me? Never! Always!

I'm relieved, b/c I did understand and identify with what both of you said. But besides that, your convo had triggered my fascination with understanding people, and how we always perceive people through our own mind. That annoys me! I want to get right in their head and really experience them without myself being there in the way. So I'm constantly thinking about what it is inside me that makes me perceive someone a particular way, and trying to move past that so that I could get closer to really knowing them.

It was the 7th ruler in the 7th causes delays thing that I found a teensy bit annoying.

For kickers I lived with mr bm at the age of 21, it's just the legal marriage that came a few years later. And that still brought me under the average age of marriage for women in that year.

Of course, if I go into all the whys and wherefores, it is only going to reinforce the liklihood of someone checking their chart and on finding they have the same placement, imagining they are doomed to some kind of odd situation that means their marriage will be delayed.

Like I say there, why are people single?

Excluding those few people I know whose partner passed away, and those whose relationships have just split up. I'm talking long term single.

9 times out of 10 it's because they are happy that way ~ "I'm stuck in my ways now" i.e they don't want anyone else messing up their ways, they refuse to change ~ or they are fussy. Fussy is the big one.

Friend of mine rattles off a long list of things a woman must be ~ it's all trivial things like must have brown eyes, shoulder length hair, be 5 foot 6. So, say I wasn't old enough to be his mother he would disclude me on eye colour and height. Not that it would get far anyway, with his robotic list. It doesn't say much for the art of compromise.

It's the way of thinking that annoys me, I could go on. Shall I?

O.K

back to the 18th century taxation records.
