Using astrotheme, I've just found that Jessica Alba's Mars conjuncts my Venus and her Venus conjuncts my Mars. Whoa! Ah, could be worse. I'll take it. LOL. No guys though - what's up with that - well, no one interesting or that I know.IP: Logged |

DDYou said that Psyche's sensitivity is out of this world and that it could not cope with Mars. But, isn't Psyche - for all it implies - very strong. Because Mars represents physical strength - whereas Psyche reflects psychic strength which is far stronger than anything phyisical/material. IP: Logged |

koiDo you ever read Who Magazine? For our American friends, it's the Aussie version of your People Magazine. Apparently they held a survey some time and the results of Worst Celebrity Body is: 1. Amy Winehouse - okay I can see that - put the ciggies down and eat a meal, girlfriend. 2. Oprah Winfrey - I empathise with her weight as it's obviously a very big struggle for her. 3. Victoria Beckham - yes, very very skinny with odd **** . 4. Kirstie Alley - again, has issues. 5. Paris Hilton - what????!!!! She has an amazing figure - what is wrong with these people! I don't like her or what she represents, but she has smart business savvy and knows that the only thing she has to market is herself and she does a brilliant job at it. And, she has a fantastic body! That one I really don't get. IP: Logged |

Definitely more a more mature respect of art thing going on with the Venus Opposite (my) Saturn thing, and with the Moon at the end of Virgo, it is either Conjunct my Moon/Pluto or earlier, possibly Trine my Venus. Which tends to be good. A friendly respect, maybe.I liked him in Possession, too, sorry Meta. He is VERY English. Austen makes me roll my eyes ~ there are new versions regurgitated at about 5 yearly periods in the U.K. Something new would be nice, and also, it can all be a bit shallow and fluffy.
This version of Mansfield Park I liked Saw him in the pub once in London. Now THERE was grubby. Checked out IMDB, he's just got married, a baby on the way. Congratulations, Jonny.

Jeremy has an interesting chart. Just noticed he has Chiron opposite Uranus - like me. He also has Eros in Capi. I might do a synastry. Like the Sagi Sun and Merc with Scorpy Venus. Nice combination. He has a Venus, Merc, Sun, Mars stellium.Noticed that you are using the asteroids more and more now bm. IP: Logged |

I read it before your post. Well done - well said. And I'm glad she got it. How vital was that! I think if I had approached it it would have been from a different angle and probably would not have reached her. Hopefully others (lots and lots of others) read that and have a lightbulb/aha moment.

Also noticed a new member challenging certain certain issues/points that have become rather important to many. Will see how that pans out. I see a butting of heads in the future. There is one knowflake in particular that will not cope well with being thus challenged. Will be interesting to observe. My stance is with neither. I'm not a fan of a fatalistic perception of astrology.IP: Logged |

Though it could be said, in my situation, it's alright for me to say. However, as we both know as wives and mothers, happily ever after takes a little bit of effort. It never fails to amaze me how women will right posts about how relationships have gone wrong, and how someone didn't come up to scratch, never once mentioning any personal failing of their own, or how as a team they could have made it work better. And what they can learn from it . That's Taurus speaking though, isn't it? IP: Logged |

The asteroids are there because I cut and pasted Meta's chart. I tend to think there is enough to work on with astrology without them, Taurus Mercury, lol. I'm still plodding through Chapter 1. IP: Logged |

Not sure that's Taurus speaking. I think that's practicality speaking - well, making it Taurean then, yes! It does take effort. I'm not sure - are they looking for a flawless chart with all conjunctions and nothing else? Because, it's not impossible, but it is highly unlikely. It's so easy to get caught up in though. I think they just lose touch with finding someone to love and get too caught up in the astrology. I've always used astrology as a tool to help me understand people. I've never used it in relation to selecting partners beforehand. Not saying it's wrong - but you don't get the essence of the person by looking at their chart - you get the understanding of certain traits and behaviours and how to work with them or around them, not in spite of them. But women are apt to changing their minds and views and accommodating or bending certain facts to support their ideals as well as their realities. I had a friend who, while she was going out with her then boyfriend, would brag about how wonderful he was. The moment they broke up she proclaimed how useless he was in bed anyway. Can't be both ways. And here's a goody - women want the attention - and if it's given by a "cute" guy - it's flattering - but if the very same attention is given by one perceived as "ugly", he's branded a creep.

LOL! I don't mind using a couple as a standard. Psyche and Destinn are two that I use for myself now. But when we're talking amongst ourselves, I like to use consistent asteroids to DD and everyone so that we're comparing the same details in that moment/discussion. I'm not a big fan of Isis/Osiris, etc. It is possible to have too many - especially in romantic/sexual synastry because eventually you have so many asteroids up there that it's virtually impossible to not have aspects. The other side to that is that you know what you're talking about - have that experience - and can then offer it to others. It's what I say about the Earth mate/soul mate thing. Just because they have a couple of squares in the chart doesn't mean they shouldn't have a go. And you know, go on a date and forget about the wedding dress in your head - just have dinner. She's thinking dinner and forever and the furthest he's thought of is how to undo the latch on her bra and how he can get there on the first date. Slow down - and take it as it is. IP: Logged |

Fatalistic astrology is easily countered with a working example and an alternate interpretation. The 7th ruler in the 7th annoyed me a tad for the logical inconsistency. If waiting to commit to paper marriage after living together is a delay on one hand, why count fiance, live-in partner or cyber-lover as 7th relationships? There's no consistency to rules, it's just taking what suits. I take astrology as a structure for intuition and instinct. Rather than a rigid rule book. EDIT Now I read your post: quote: I've always used astrology as a tool to help me understand people. I've never used it in relation to selecting partners beforehand.
Me neither, it's the wrong way around. I trust my intincts. I meet people ~ friends ~ and then astrology helps me understand them better and how we interact. quote: take it as is
It won't happen otherswise. However often you point it out, it will still be needed one more time. IP: Logged |

I confess I struggle with this way of thinking. Like I say, Mercury Taurus, and he's Conjunct Saturn. I like logic in arguments, back-up evidence, some sign things have been thought through. I chew the mental cud. Too slow even for me sometimes, I frustrate myself, lol. See, I am still some pages behind. But my good friend and chart ruler Pluto also steps in here. He is Trine both Mercury and Saturn. It's not just slow, it's depths. He needs to really know and understand, or should I say I do. IP: Logged |
