I guess the answer to that question is "hope" in most cases.

We should all have one of those! I couldn't help but think, when you said, "but the upper-crust version", that the comment was extra funny because Sean probably sees himself as being that.

But then again, what upper-crust guy wouldn't go behind the pub for a quickie.

What do you want from the information? That sounds quite like Geocosmic, particularly on the 'will I die young?' type threads. I'm thinking more along the lines of what you said about Vedic.

Hope, a bit of escapist fantasy, nothing wrong with that, but I wouldn't want to go into false hope. If I'm not going to give a categorical NO, I'm not going to give a categorical YES, either.

Soul Mate?

Nah.

It's just escapist fun.

Sean is the football on the T.V on Saturday afternoon. Coming back merry after a night out with the lads on Tuesday.

He's the decent, hard-working bloke you could go out and find in a pub if you were ever single. He'll give you a good time, and will put you at your ease.

Just what the Venus in Taurus woman wants. And millions of women across Britain who have been married and have had kids.

He's gone on tape saying: I don't mind being women's favourite bit of rough, why should I?

Down-to-earth, unpretentious, rugged and masculine. Oh and the voice. More Venus in Taurus stuff.

Soul Mates.

An over-used word.

For me, at least, it doesn't autotmatically carry the presumption of being in a romantic relationship with all the bells and whistles. When it gets bandied about so often I think that is what is really meant, that ideal romantic relationship, 'the one' etc. It's nothing spiritual at all.

In my version of Soul Mate male or female makes no difference. It's not necessarily a sexuality thing.

But then I have Mars in Aquarius ~ in the 3rd, lol. I pretty much take people on a level. In some ways it's a genderless sign.

I think it goes down to indiviudals. Some people are easy to live with, some arent'. I'm in one of the 'not easy to live with' category, so's mr bm. The boys, they're alright, not problem.

Wherever love strikes ~ male, female, romantic, platonic, whatever. It's all good.

But for me he must be 6 foot 1, have green eyes, Moon in Cancer at 16* and Venus in Virgo at 1*.

quote:
Yes and Yes!!!! I have always tried to understand why a man and a woman are meant to be together, when they are completely different in so many ways!!

I'm not entirely convinced that men and women are meant to be together in that being a black and white thing. I think when it comes to love you fall in love with the person - who they are - and should they be male/female/both, black/white/multi-coloured, tall/short/medium, Christian/Muslim/Satanist, Aries/Gemini/Scorpio, English/Mongolian/Fijian - that's part of the package. Love makes exceptions - that feeling - it makes you throw away your list of ideals and just take people for who they are. Of course, our social structure does not make this an easy path. I think that when it comes to love that you can fall in love with anyone. But, honestly, before test-tubes, in purely animalistic terms, for the sake of survival, we have needed men and women for procreation.

quote:
How does one enjoy the full-time involvement with a member of the opposite sex when their interests are different, their bodies do different things, expectations/privileges/incomes are different??

So because you have a vagina you know how to please someone with one sexually? Because you know what feels good? I suppose in truth a woman would know how to please another woman sexually far better than a man because she knows the feeling. In consistency you would also have to say the say - men probably give better head to other men too, for the very same reason. But that doesn't always mean that they like the same thing either. Not all men (or women) are aroused by the same thing or by the same sexual activities or stimulus.

quote:
Any other lifestyle is a mystery to me. Such as, a man and woman living together - isn't this hard? I read that a married couples bedroom is like a hotel room, because it can't be feminine or blokey - Unless it has been styled with a theme in mind, like Asian, or deco, etc.

It just comes down to taste - regardless of sex or sexuality. You're going to have the same issues. If one of you is Kylie Minogue and the other is Judas Priest - you're going to have issues in taste and decorating and a balance in your environment. I think taste is very individual. I hate floral patterns - with passion.

quote:
Does a woman forget she is a woman when there always a man around? Looking at a man, smelling a man, feeling a man, talking and eating with a man..... well, a woman must end up feeling like a man!

In some instances, depending on the man, I think, that's when a woman feels most like a woman too. And when a man feels most like a man. But it comes down to sex, doen't it - in the end - sexual attraction. And that's the determining factor. If you're attracted to a man or woman, that person makes you feel sexual - and you want to exert that so they can see that.

quote:
How does a woman keep her womanly energy when there is a man always around?

Because she's fully aware of the effect and power that her womanliness has over him - and the knowledge of how much he wants it.

quote:
My first attraction started when I was in Year 5. Then I had a crush on Kate Jackson from Charlie's Angels!!

I always thought that ALL girls get crushes on women. I just thought that was in the female make-up. But maybe there is some state of balance in EVERYONE in terms of attraction/repulsion to men and women. I had a crush on Kate Jackson. Well, I think it was a crush. Retrospectively, I'm pretty sure it was. But I can't say I'm sexually attracted to women. But I think I could fall in love with anyone. I think we all could. When I see Jennifer Garner I think what an absolutely stunning woman. When I see a pic of Colin Farrell, I think, yeah, I wouldn't mind being under him for some time. With Colin it goes straight to - yeah, I'd love to **** him -but with Jen it's more - I'd like to be her - or at least - look like her.

quote:
I didn't like the idea of male-domination - which felt over-whelming when I was younger. I don't feel this anymore. I also find many men arrogant - women tend to be more humble and spiritually inclined. However, my views have softened as I've got older. I tend to see people more for who they are. Women can pee me off as much as men these days!!

I've never discerned displinarianship with either male or female. I have a problem with authority figures of all kinds (take a look at my chart! LOL!) But generally, I have alway gravitated towards the softness and support of females older than myself. I've always enjoyed the company of older people. I think that's from being an only child. It just works out that way - being the only child in a room full of adults. Conditioning. But then I enjoy the company here, immensely, of all of us - regardless of age. I think women can be just as domineering as men. And not all men are strong and dominant types. I do have a preference for those ones though.

quote:
I have gone through the Nature V. Nurture debate.... and think I could be 70% Nature and 30% Nurture. Although 20 years ago, I felt 100% Nature. I know the gayness has been linked to genetic structure.

I don't really like to analyse things in scientific terms. I just take people and things as they are. That's it. Everyone's the same to me. It does irk me when use the nature vs nurture argument to cover their own prejudice, however.

Totally agreed. I think a lot of people think they meet this soulmate and they're complete and they live happily ever after. I think that is enormously rare.

I'm a big believer that we complete ourselves. The people in our lives help us do that. Show us ourselves - good and bad. And come to us to teach us certain things.

Can't say either way for me. I can't differentiate there. I like the company of men and women equally.

My father was very volatile - never knew what would trigger a rage - it could be anything, but mostly nothing. He was explosive. My mother was not very warm or loving like we idealise mothers to be. But, they did the best they could in their own way. That's just the way it goes.

I don't see all men or women as reflections of them. I think they are the exception. I don't do well with manipulative people.

You got me thinking. It is possible, that in our practicality, we pick people we think we could to some degree actually have a chance with in real life?

Seriously? Think about it. I mean, you mention all those things about Sean. Does that make him more accessible than - say, Rafe? Even Colin. Who we know likes wit and is willing to take a crack at a woman 40 years his senior.

Are we basing celebrity choices based on accessibity?

There's always that whole "if he met me he'd know how wonderful I am thing" or, "if we met he'd feel the connection" thing as well.

Ive been tapping away at reports tonight... finally. I should have started them 2 days ago, but ended up chatting with some funny witty folk on Friday night

PA - Yes, at the end of the day, it is the person we can love. Love has so many faces. Growing up with intense feelings/emotions is the challenge for young adults - it was one of my greatest challenges - I think it may have something to do with Venus/Pluto/Uranus stellium - can be very intense. As I've got older, I've experienced Love in various forms from admiration to quiet compassion. I'm just glad to grow away from the intense younger years and mellow into an accepting woman (accepting that Life is too busy and precious to be worrying over finding the ultimate lover/partner). I've found a quiet Love with my partner - it's interesing, not how I imagined a relationship could be!!

One thing I have noticed at work, when a man came to work in a female-dominated dept, was they all fussed over him!!! He didn't work very hard, hid in corners, never did anything great and still woman fussed over him!! I couldn't respect him for his lack of effort, organisation and dedication. Why on earth would they do this, when his work doesn't measure up?

You've mentioned a couple things over the last day or two about a woman's ability (you did not relate it to power) to influence a man. I think you really know how to work your feminine wiles I have a picture of you in my head. I wonder if you look like how I imagine!!

Who is it that bm likes? 6 foot 1, have green eyes, Moon in Cancer at 16 and Venus in Virgo at 1

Well, I must get ready for beddy-byes......
