Change - is constant. It's important. You don't grow otherwise. I think, if you resist change, you resist your own life. It's inevitable. If you don't change - flow with life - it drags you along whether you like it or not. I know which path is easier. Change doesn't always have to be sudden. It can be gradual.

I enjoy change. I NEED it! Change doesn't have to be better or worse, but just different - that's all.

I think that's something i know but i haven't learned. Does that make sense? I know this, but i cannot and will not apply it to my own life. My Grand Square/Cross is Fixed. I'm a fixed person. It's not easy by ANY means to accept change.

I don't think i can make you understand this. This is just something that can't be understood i think.

Change is not how i function as a person. I am used to being dragged by life, and i can accept that.

quote:
Yes and Yes!!!! I have always tried to understand why a man and a woman are meant to be together, when they are completely different in so many ways!!

Well it's a biological thing, that is, men and women have kids together, it's the selfish gene. Men and men or women and women can't have kids together. In the olden days when humans and animals were at risk of being eaten, having sex was a time consuming and energetic process. Choosing a genetically suitable mate that can lead to offspring helps the process of the selfish gene or immortality. Hence men and women.

Now psychology and wide sexual attraction also influences and it has become maybe more prominent now that we are at less risk of being eaten. It also exists in nature too, that is, homosexual sex but again it would defeat the argument that I put up above.

quote:
How does one enjoy the full-time involvement with a member of the opposite sex when their interests are different, their bodies do different things, expectations/privileges/incomes are different??

You just do, it's hard to say exactly why. I can ask the same about sharing a life with a woman.

The thing that attracts me to relationship with men:
* They can protect me;
* They're physically stonger than me and could outpower me if they wanted to;
* They can offer me materials that women can't given the inequality that exists still in society;
* They don't b*tch;
* Some of them do happen to have the same interests as me;
* They make me feel like a woman; as PA says, it's that we have something that they don't have and they want. We have something they have that we want. It's the foreigness of them that makes them sexy, this complex and non-understandable yet simple thing that we quite aren't like.

That's just the few that are coming to mind.

EDIT - I admit, the thought of being dominated by a male in situations, turns me on. Not too much, then it becomes offensive and paternal. I did for example ballroom dancing for a year. The best men were the ones that lead and who were able to some extent control how you moved. I feel the same about men in real life as well I guess when it comes to relationships. I can only say this is psychologically linked to being like a little girl again that is guarded and protected by dad (or could it be my Pluto conj DC?). I'm sure men have similar feelings too, they look to be the little boy to their mother-like wife.

quote:
Any other lifestyle is a mystery to me. Such as, a man and woman living together - isn't this hard? I read that a married couples bedroom is like a hotel room, because it can't be feminine or blokey - Unless it has been styled with a theme in mind, like Asian, or deco, etc.

Ditto PA. It's all a matter of taste. Our place is very masculine and I like it that way. Other places I have seen a male-female clash and there has had to be compromise.

quote:
Does a woman forget she is a woman when there always a man around? Looking at a man, smelling a man, feeling a man, talking and eating with a man..... well, a woman must end up feeling like a man!

No, its the opposite, you feel the polarity. I get what you are coming to, you become like those you are around all the time and maybe if I was in a strictly male environment then that would be the case but there are women that pull me back.

A man sees a woman as a man when he is a non-sexual mate to the woman that he can confide in with male secrets. That's when you are treated like a man and feel like a man. When there is sexual attraction between a woman and a man, the wall goes up and you definitely feel like a woman.

quote:
My first attraction started when I was in Year 5. Then I had a crush on Kate Jackson from Charlie's Angels!!

Well ditto PA on crushes on girls. I think it's a form of role-modelling. Mine was Lynda Carter, Wonderwoman. She's still a gorgeous woman and yes, I wanted to be like her when I was a girl, feminine and beautiful yet strong. Boys do it as well. Example is celebrity crush, he used to send male teens strangely wild in his day I hear. Why? Because the boys all wanted to be like him and they all knew that the girls wanted him.

quote:
I didn't like the idea of male-domination - which felt over-whelming when I was younger. I don't feel this anymore. I also find many men arrogant - women tend to be more humble and spiritually inclined. However, my views have softened as I've got older. I tend to see people more for who they are. Women can pee me off as much as men these days!!

Maybe too much boyness in the house. I think you are right about men being arrogant but men are also protective when they want to be and are honest too when they want to be. Boys clubs are a symptom of male arrogance as well as seeing women as possessions. Women on the other hand can be terribly compassionate but also mean and very nasty. Each to their own really.

quote:
have gone through the Nature V. Nurture debate.... and think I could be 70% Nature and 30% Nurture. Although 20 years ago, I felt 100% Nature. I know the gayness has been linked to genetic structure.

To tell you the truth, I haven't statistically apportioned what amount is Nature or Nurture. Probably both.

One thing I have noticed at work, when a man came to work in a female-dominated dept, was they all fussed over him!!! He didn't work very hard, hid in corners, never did anything great and still woman fussed over him!! I couldn't respect him for his lack of effort, organisation and dedication. Why on earth would they do this, when his work doesn't measure up?

Again, I think this is a biological thing. Subconscious programming to compete for a male. Subconscious subordination to a male. Males also have millions of sperm, we have one egg to give a month. Males can fertilise many and female only can get fertilised by one. If there is only one male, then there is the subconscious things going on.

EDIT -Here's another thing to leave you thinking. Men seek to dominate and maybe they seek subordination from women. Men love to watch lesbians together. This is because there is more chance of fertilising more than one female but also the idea that these women do not subordinate to him, he seeks the challenge of conquest. Food for thought.

But, you know, this is going to sound somewhat archaic in the face of the women's movement - but that - what you described - I find that outright sexy! That's what men are - what they do. God, I so LOVE that! And I'm by no means a weak woman.

I agree. I'm sure I will get slapped for my opinions but I agree also. It's the fact that they can do stuff that we still aren't allowed to do or can't do that makes them hot, like move furniture or something.

Precisely. Well said. And btw - I loved Wonderwoman. What girl didn't want to be her and what boy didn't want to **** her? My husband talks about her still as an ideal for a woman and he's 39.

My favourite "woman" of all time is Sophia Loren. Wow! What a woman! And Julie Chrisitie. She's like this light.

Very very true - but you're also giving them more credit than they deserve - I mean, basically, most of them just want to get laid. With no other agenda.

And two girls together - it's the fantasy - the fulfilment of ego - of being DESIRED by more than one of the species. If it wasn't for multiple sex partners/fantasies, they probably wouldn't be able to count at all.

Meta ~

You only have 1 Mutable planet. That's the change and flexiblity thing.

For some reason I have a copy of your chart on my computer. That makes me sound like a stalker, but there are a few on there I have put up for people and haven't deleted yet, so don't be afraid.

Anyway, you mention the Grand Cross. But what about the Kite? Is that getting it's share of the attention? It uses your mutable planet ~ Mercury, and it gets that Saturn/Pluto Oppostion working and offers a way to fly out of the Grand Cross.

Just a little thought there, the thick red lines are hiding it a bit but it is there underneath it.

Seriously? Think about it. I mean, you mention all those things about Sean. Does that make him more accessible than - say, Rafe? Even Colin. Who we know likes wit and is willing to take a crack at a woman 40 years his senior.
Are we basing celebrity choices based on accessibity?

Ditto BM, it's the random ordinariness of the celebrity that makes the attraction. Like eg celebrity crush, some random geek that made it good. Of course, we don't live near each other but he's still identifiable.

However for me it's issues of identification and similarity. Just behaviours that I do that he does, histories, little things. I really can't pinpoint exactly what it is. It's like he is me, particularly when I see him very young prior to fame, that was me when I was young. I am and was a geek, he was and is as well. He also brings out the maternal in me as well. When I'm feeling ok with this thing whatever it is, it's like he holds a mirror up to me and shows me myself. I love him because I love myself.*

*I've also just realised my name asteroid is conj his first name in our Davidson, could be a symptom of that.

Ok, Fine!!!

This has to be my fav pic of him. This is like the only picture in which i think he looks decently attractive. Literally.

Oh, your keys... well.. i have some bad news... apparently they're embedded in his Pancreas- Ralph pushed too hard i guess!

If i were you, i'd just get new keys. Going digging for the old ones would be like trying to find an NSYNC fan at at Backstreet Boys concert- just ain't gonna happen.

No, i would never be afraid of you (even though you have ASC in Scorpio!). And i know you're not, but i think it would be flattering if you were stalking me.

... i don't have a kite... do i? Hmm.. i don't know what to do with that information. I have no knowledge about it. Kite is... good i think. Harmony. So what, does that mean i AM flexible? Because, believe you me, when i say i don't like change i ain't kiddin'!

I don't think this would happen, but that's the thing. Get everyone in a room and synastry will be turned upside down.

This rings true to some extent. We on the net here on this website are operating in a 2-D world and in reality there are so many other variables and we are then dealing with a 3-D person.

HOWEVER, I will say this. Celebrities are human beings at the end of the day and if astrology and synastry works, then it must work on them. As many of you know, I was stuck with a celebrity in a lift earlier this year. Seeing him in reality added certainly another dimension to how I saw them on TV. And trust me, the synastry and chart of the time did match what was going on or at least I think it did.

The connection thing - BM I can't find where you wrote that but I understand. It's wierd, I say there is a connection all the time but am I confusing it with identification? Identification --> able to relate to the other --> connection. Also we dedicate many hours into associating ourselves with this person and we then start "developing" a relationship in our head. In reality, there would be many competing factors and things to get over, for example, meeting a celebrity, we know a lot about them and see them in a personal light but they don't have a darn clue who we have. Problem is, how do you have the time to develop that rapport. What other clutter is going though their head when we meet them? Or is it a formal function that you meet them in an "artificial setting. Think about someone who knows about you and you don't know about them and how it would feel if they personalised you already. However, having said that, it doesn't mean that an ordinary person is out of the running to get a famous person, maybe this is where things like progressions and right time-right place comes into play.

I think that's true for all of us when "connecting' with celebrities. We just go on instinct. You see or read their interviews and connect with something they've lived or said - or even the way they said it - a laugh - something familiar if it's past life. But mostly - you see something of yourself in them and something of them in you.
