quote:
I don't know much about lexi-ing but I get the general idea.
Indeed, you know very little, yet pass judgement.
quote:
Don't see why people take it so seriously though.
Do you think that of Astrologers, tarot readers, psychics, and so forth too? Lexigramming is a form of divination too, and an exercise in word study. Just because you cannot understand others' passion for a subject does not make it a frivolous matter.
quote:
Respect that's their thing.
Then please do so. It is none of your business what folks choose as their passion, be it Astrology, Lexigramming, Yoga, SETI research (which some would call a waste of time) and so forth. I consider bowling and golf as not my passion, but they are some folks' serious passion. Nothing wrong with that now is there? What would possess a person to call judgment on their choices of what drives or pleases them?
quote:
Interesting and fun, but not an entire lifestyle.
Who are you to say I should not have Lexigrammming as a big part my lifestyle? I taught myself how to read and write at age 4. I begain Lexigramming at age 5. I was a very sickly child, often bedridden. Lexigramming and reading dictionaries, crossword puzzles and so forth for pleasure kept me from going bonkers as a kid. between 5 and 34 I had other interests, body building, power lifting, professional arm wrestling, theatre, dancing, gymnastics, contortionist, advanced yoga, archery, fencing, fishing, marathon bicycling and much more very physically active things. Also art and sewing which my hands cannot do easily nowadays due to paralytic episodes and severe osteoarthritis. Since age 34 however, 2 decades to date, I have been disabled...and more times bed bound or nearly so than not. As when I was a sickly child, I have returned to Lexigramming as my main passion along with writing. I became quite suicidal over my abrupt changes in my active lifestyle, more active than most folks are in their lifestyles. During 3 strokes the doctors said that my Lexigramming passion helped to keep away major permanent brain damage and retrain my brain to heal and bring back my ability to write, talk and so forth....skills that were temporarily lost.
After an ocular stroke which partially blinded me, and a neurological episode which caused a temporary loss of writing a verbal function, (and for which a few LL folk made fun of and said I was faking about it and being disabled)...Lexigramming again helped me heal. If it were not for my passion for it I would have had to gone to therapy to recover my damaged brain bits. Then in 1997 I met my husband, and to my delight he was/is as passionate as I am about Lexigramming! Now what are the odds on that?!
So exactly what do you feel my lifestyle should be PeaceAngel the judge?
Exactly what can a disabled, and too often bed bound person like me, with a neurologically damaged arthritic body, partially blind, with other physical troubles...supposed to have,
in YOUR EXPERT OPINION

as a lifestyle and life passion?
Many people, including here at LL have said they'd rather die or would commit suicide if they were in my shoes. Lexigramming is my passion that I can even do whilst in bed. So is spiritual counseling as a minister, by phone, for free. If Astrology were my passion would you still find it a lame not to be taken seriously life passion choice? You have a right to an opinion buit no right to deem whether Lexigramming should be taken seriously by me or not. You made fun of it and me on the lost thread..referring to me as "toxic granny" because of my passion and taking it seriously. As with here, why it was even brought up eludes me. Mention of it and my interest was not positive at all.
quote:
I'm not going to put that much value on it.
That is quite obvious. It is definitely not your thing. However it is mine for many valid reasons so deal with that fact.

I know I'm mischief. I can't help it sometimes. With the attention span of a gnu, that's too long a post to sustain my concentration. But it's existence just confirmed what I needed to know. Well, what I already knew.

Thanks.

LEXX

I didn't read your reply and I'm not going to. We don't come over to your forum and threads and invade you. What was said tonight was to find out exactly your motivations and your actions and you have revealed them as anticipated.

I know that bm said in the other thread for no future correspondence between the two of you and I feel the same way about you.

I respect your thing for you. But you don't respect ours. We leave you alone. Why don't you leave us. That's all.

Now Lexx we have as yet not met, but don't you think you are being a little harsh on PA? Does she not have the right to express herself as you have just done? with the exception of the fact that peaceangel didn't visit your thread to voice her opinion did she? she stayed here on the GODZALA thread that most people know it is for light hearted entertainment & somewhat low brow humour. I understand how you feel but on the same token what is the point to this tirade? apart from your wanting to smack PA on the nose because you didn't like what you have read? please step back & take a deep breath & let it go because PA doesn't want to hurt anyone & brings so much joy to many people here.

Thanks beautiful spunky lady. Much appreciated.

I didn't read LEXX's post and I have no interest to do so.

I think there's hypocrisy in desiring your own freedom but wanting to inhibit someone elses.

As I've said before - if you don't like the thread - don't read it. BUT DON'T STALK US.

I only speak the truth & you are welcome...Sadly I have noticed many "sensitive" people & much negativity here at LL over the last week or so, I am kinda new so I'm not sure if this has been an ongoing theme...Anything going on in the sky to bring these emotions into play perhaps?

Just a thought.

I just wish everyone would get along. I like pa and I like lexx, I cherish the lexx she did for my grandson, and I enjoy romping in here at times..

If you were my kids I would make you sit and hold hands until this was resolved. Of course that really never worked with my daughters, so it probobly wouldn't work here either. She's touching me, she put a buggar on me, she pulled the head off my barbie, she is wearing my shirt- make her take it off now.

just live and let live. you both bring something needed to ll.

Thanks sunshine.

Words of wisdom.

Unfortunately not every one gets along. And not everyone wants to be have anything to do with everyone else. I just want this thread to be left alone. If you don't like it, don't come here. You know the score. We don't go and police other people - so why do they feel the need to take the moral highground with us. That's not right. Just leave us alone. We certainly don't bother anyone. It's offensive that people come to us and interrupt our harmless fun. It's outright rude. And yet, if we did it to them, there would be outrage. It has to be fair for everyone.

I just had a quick thought about LEXX's response...With all that highly emotional life changing, for want of a better word I will just call it "stuff" going on in her life I believe those situations can make you hypersensitive to what she believes is an agressive attack, I atleast "know" what I'm talking about here..I have been through it myself, not in the same way, but soul destroying all the same, it isnt easy by any means but it is our burden & lesson to either use as a crutch or as our hardest learning curve. I just wish her well, what ever she decides.

btw

before all the lexigrammers jump on me. I just knew we were being unncessarily policed tonight.

I find lexigrams quite fascinating. It's very interesting and intricate. I have only basic knowledge of it. Like I do most things that vaguely interest me. I do devote myself fully to those things that I love though. It's just not one of those. I don't have the interest to sustain the amount of focus it requires.

Thanks, but I'm truly not interested in LEXX or her reply. Aquarius Moon is good like that.

If she has genuine problems, well, we all do, and she has my compassion and prayers. In the end, I just want her to leave us alone. And that's the simple truth.

Paul Newman! Wow! He was something wasn't he. He had that "IT" factor. Just something that you couldn't quite pin, but something really special.

And best of all - he was good at playing the likable rogues.

Oh yes! Aidan Quinn. Now I had a thing for him years ago. He was really something. Loved his characters, thought he was very handsome. Could never work out why he wasn't bigger than he turned out. Good actor.
