Meta-I'm glad you like my seriousness. I was surprised to hear you say you like emotional watery types. Aqua Moons are often emotionally detached and avoid it's excess, but I once knew another Fire Sun and Aqua Moon who was extremely emotional, although I don't believe she has ever felt the exhilaration of being in love. But I know Aqua can be an enigma even of itself. Still, I expect that Sun/Moon/Mars/Pluto grand square of yours is a wild experience to behold, so I'll avoid any attempt to imagine your character. Scorpy,I don't mind guesses. As long as they're not sickly rude assumptions- which yours was not. My Leo Sun/Aqua Moon gives me the ability to empathize greatly. I can see things from all perspectives, so it's natural for me to put myself in others shoes. Normally i can understand how that would be interpreted as being detached but i have such an... emotional chart that i suppose i use my Sun/Moon in a non-traditional Fire/Air way...? EDIT Why were you surprised i like emotional, watery types? IP: Logged |

Meta:No need to apologize about the Taurus-guitarist, you were speaking of her, not me. I don't have any emotional relationship with her and I certainly wasn't offended. I know you are solely speaking for your friend's mother-seeking complex. Personally I am very attracted to domestic-type women, no doubt because half of my planets are in the 4th house, and so it is largely where my own interests are. Still, my Moon is in Libra, so I'm looking for a truly fair and balanced partnership; obviously not wanting to be mothered at all. With a Libra Moon and Capricorn Mars, if I were ever to want a mother, then I would want to be her father, but I don't see that as ever being my case. Again, I know you were only speaking for your friend, but I thought I should clarify my loaded 4th house. And I'm sure being a Fire sign, you have a fair amount of heat. But a Taurus Mars and especially an Aqua Moon are often indicators of avoiding emotional extremes. Truly, I believe you could be an exception to those things, because they are involved in the consummately profound grand square... So much activity... a Sun at home, a Full moon, a detriment Mars, and Pluto at home... all in a grand square, it's very interesting. IP: Logged |

Thanks- i believe i'm an exception too. I actually feel more Piscean than anything. I like to take on other people's feeling and swallow them. Strange...Now you see, if it wasn't for the Libra Moon i would have pegged you for a man looking for that motherly nurturing. Not because of anything you've said, but because of your very emotional (Scorpio/Water) chart & loaded 4th house. Glad you brought that up. You set me straight! Yes, my friend is looking for HIS mother very much. Someone to cook, clean, have his children, drive the mini-van, etc. Yuck. I don't want kids. Ever. I'm guessing you do? (4th house) IP: Logged |

Meta:No, actually, I don't really want kids. It would take a very unique woman to pull that urge out of me. If the 5th house is associated with Children, having Sagittarius on my 5th cusp is not very supportive. Too much concern of interfering with my own life, freedoms, and prerogatives. My parents always made me feel like having children was a mistake, so I guess the sentiment stuck. With my Leo Asc, I feel I'd make a great father, but I don't like the idea of all the time and money children take. It's a life sentence, some people want that, but as of now I can't see that for myself. This world is populated enough anyway. IP: Logged |

I do want a dedicated woman in my life. But since I don't want to have kids, I don't really see myself wanting to get married either.IP: Logged |

Agreed. I understand you perfectly. But with the 4th house being home, and you having so much junk in there- including balancing Libra Moon- wouldn't family be very important to you? Wouldn't it make you desire the whole package? What do you feel about marriage? IP: Logged |

Meta:(I guess I slipped that marriage issue in there before you could respond.) My heavy 4th house is very consumed with it's other attributes, rather than the establishment a family. The 4th house commonly represents the early or late parts of life, and I find my growing years have been much more profound and impactful on me than they've appeared to be for most people. I see Houses as often being circumstantial, things where life *happens*, rather independently of an individuals desires. So, I figure its more likely for a family to *happen* to me, possibly in conflict of my conscious goals. IP: Logged |

Ah, i got you. I suppose i think of houses in very independent terms. I don't look at them as corresponding or working together. I think of them as ruling individual parts of life, so.. yeah.IP: Logged |

Meta:I definitely want a significant other. I think Libra Moons are at their best in relationships. Unlike the other parts of my life where I feel my results are the product of my desires (much more in my control), perhaps it can be an attribute of Libra Moon emotionality to be so subject to other people that my intimate relationships seldom seem to result from my own volition, but rather happen best for me when I'm not searching for it. Being a Scorpio Sun makes my desires for a significant other even worse. The first 6 signs, started by Aries, represents the Self. The last 6 signs, started by Libra, represents Others. Hence, Taurus possesses objects, while it's opposite, Scorpio, seeks to possess people. Add the Libra Moon, and I assure you that I hate being single. IP: Logged |

I actually believe that's when love is at it's best though- when it's not found as a result from being searched for, but when it crashes unexpectedly. When you look, look, look for a relationship, for that "someone" you're blocking yourself in so many ways. You've got to just let go and let life lead you where it will. I know, that's a hard to to comprehend- laissez-faire - believe me, i know. But that's how you get the good stuff. That's when you become punch drunk with love- when you're NOT grabbing for it. I understand that. But do you hate being single because you hate being alone, or because you hate not being in love?IP: Logged |

I hate not being in love.I can handle being alone just fine. Sometimes I'm very happy to be alone. Most connections in life are too superficial for me to care whether I am a part of it or not, so I'm often content to not bother. So I feel starved for deep connection. I want to feel someone's energy, their heat. I want someone to focus on, share life with. And I want someone who wants to know me deeply, to gain perspective on myself and feel the rare comfort of being understood. And I want someone for whom I can provide those things; things that only come with profound connection. IP: Logged |

It's a tall order, so I usually settle for less in love, which is fine with me because I know most people can't go where I want to.Ultimately, I'm just happy to return to those simple Libra Moon relationship fundamentals. IP: Logged |

I feel exactly the same way. Do we have Venus trine? Mine is in Cancer @ 21 degrees... Have you ever been in love? Have you ever tasted this type of soul connection? IP: Logged |

I've been in love. Not my idealistic love, but love nonetheless, and I was happy with what I had.I've seen what I believed were potentials for that soul connection, but for whatever reason the romance never happened, so I'll never know. Yeah, my Venus is at 22 degrees of Scorpio. IP: Logged |

Although rather wide for my preferred trines, we also have a Mars/Mars trine at slightly over 7 degrees.Mars/Mars and Venus/Venus trines should go a long way to smoothing all of our Fixed squares and oppositions. IP: Logged |

I think it enables us to understand each other. We probably share a lot of common interests and views on life. And if not, we would be able to discuss without wanting to crush one another. Hmm... so yes to love, no to the romantic soul connection... i see. And these females that you felt the soul-potential with, did they know? Or did you keep it hidden? IP: Logged |

I kept it hidden. There wasn't relationship potential between us, so I didn't see the point in discussing the intense vibes I felt with them.IP: Logged |

Sometimes I feel great soul connections can be cultivated if the two people involved are very receptive, but in most of the romantic relationships I've had it didn't seem possible.IP: Logged |
