Dogville was very well-composed, but arg was it stressful to watch! surely i was super excited when it ended that way, but it was painful to watch.i watched Au Revoir, Les Enfants when i was in high school. it was sad but good. has anyone seen Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid with Steve Martin!? that's gotta be the best movie in the genre, if there IS a genre to categorize that! recently i finally downloaded the 5+ hours of Fanny and Alexander by Bergman and watched it. it was quite good. man, i used to be a real film-freak. i could say this movie was made in this year starring this actor actress, director this guy, got these awards blah blah. forgot all that! Amowls:Donnie Darko supposedly takes place in Richmond??? There are some seriously mountainous shots in the film. Richmond is considerably flat in comparison. Unless there was a poor geographical quality-control production issue, then I can't imagine how the scenery could reflect Richmond. I took a drive out to Charlottesville and Staunton and I could see how the film's settings might depict the Blue Ridge mountains. There is at least one high-altitude scene which is actually relevant to the film, so unless there are storyline or production notes mentioning Richmond as the intended location, then I doubt the Richmond connection. Oh, I love Monsters, Inc. Wonderful movie. I'm a huge fan of Ice Age 1 as well. Toy Story 2 is awesome. I'll never forget the first time I watched Toy Story 1 though, absolutely dazzled by it. And Madagascar is so much fun. If you have the DVD, in the extras there is this little Christmas piece with the penguins. I think it's better than the actual movie. It's hilarious.Oh, and that just about gives away that I love these children's shows. But..... and I risk being slaghtered over this one...... I hated Happy Feet. IP: Logged |

Oh, I nearly forget. There's an extra in Monsters, Inc too. Mike buys a new car and he and Sully try it out. It's brilliant. I had tears streaming down my face laughing so hard the first couple of times I watched it.IP: Logged |

~ AG ~ re 'band of brothers'Richard D. Winters. Born January 21, 1918 .. Aquarian Sun .. ( 00.40 deg aqua ) ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_D._Winters ~ i loved that scene where he sprinted into the occupied village .. then ran back again to his own lines .. and the germans were too taken aback to even get a shot off at him ( at least i think that's how it went ) a 11am chart for his birthplace .. gives him aries asc and cap mc .. wouldn't suprise me if that was the case .. ** Great actor for that role. He was so good. ** one hundred percent in agreement on that one ..i rekon all the acting was pretty good .. and the directing .. and the overall production .. i liked the technical accuracy as well .. ( as opposed to seeing sherman tanks pretending to be panzers etc etc ) i quite enjoyed 'saving private ryan' as well .. but then again i've enjoyed most of tom hanks acting .. and another guy i'll always try 'n watch in whatever role he plays is : ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Bob_Thornton ~ .. he's a cool Leo .. :-)) IP: Logged |
