Hello Moon Pixie! I'm glad you're having an interesting time! I lived quite far away from Seoul, 2 hours by train, but whenever I went to Seoul I'd stay in the Jongno part of Insadong (the Sea Hwa Jang is the name of the guesthouse). Insadong's nice, it's where all the arty crafty sorts of places are, and the more traditional teahouses. Lots of tiny alleyways. I steered clear of Itaewon as it was for the most part full of weirdos I found! Good Indian food though, and a decent Western breakfast if fermented cabbage was not always my cup of tea at 7am. Tell me more about your experiences! Hope you're doing ok IP: Logged |

I haven't been to Insadong yet, but I'm planning on going down there next time I'm in the city.Itaewon and Hongdae is full of weirdos. Seriously. Other than that, life has been good. I miss home a lot, but I'm getting used to everything. I speak enough Korean to get around in taxi cabs, which I will never get used to doing. IP: Logged |

OMG, wheels... Insadong... is amazing. I love it. I dropped so much cash on antiques...Do you have any recommendations on tea houses? I didn't have enough time last night to look at any. IP: Logged |
