Call me a slapper, but I think naked is the way he would look best. But, each to their own.

ROFL.

Well, in the name of research and serious study, I think that you should write to Gerry and explain to him that he would be assisting you with your thesis if you could see him in person - and naked. I'm sure he'd be accommodating. He seems that kind of bloke.

I'm sorry bm, but those of us in long-term relationships apparently have none of the desired fluff to offer. It turns out that we really don't know anything about relationships.

Are you shocked? Are we in sham marriages? In the future all relationships will be decided at birth and by database linking your Eros and Psyche. No other criteria. Does that make everyone happy now?

BTW

As we got on a roll in our female condoms discussion, I neglected to praise your 'shades of grey' post.

It is right up their for LL posts of all time.

Completely and absolutely pearls before swine, but one must try.

ideals are things we strive towards

Or similar was the words of female condom man ~ a scotsman. I can remember his name

LOL! Nah! Personal rule of thumbs: Never shag on a first date Lol!

BM:

Seriously sometimes I wonder if we just have teenagers on this forum. There just can't be that many cases where people find it so awkward to start a conversation with someone and reach a point of certainty where they either think they like the person or they don't.

Yeah, but if they can't work out that the criteria for a relationship is how you feel about each other - why not?

I don't know X, it could be a meeting of silly minds or a whole load of lost people who can't trust their own instincts. Or don't have good instincts about people.

But I'm in the Lexx school of thinking ~ you meet someone, you click, you work through the problems life throws at you together. No need to analysis it to death.

Synastry can help to make working relationships tick along, and so forth, but it's not the oracle.

I agree.

But as you've stated before, what do those of us in long-term relationships have to offer those complaining that they have no relationship. Maybe when we're adding our practical pearls we should throw some catchphrases and the words soulmates or twinflames for the purpose of comprehension.

Well, we could make it the Oracle . I say all professional interperters in LL should abuse their powers and only recite the following reading.

"Everything looks good. Go talk to the guy/girl already!"

That's not what they want to hear. They want to hear this:

"Yes, this person is your twinflame. You belong together. And you're going to be happy together for the rest of eternity."

Oh I can't remember who said it. It was 20 years ago!

But I can remember ________ from __________ .

This isn't him, but he can toss his caber round my way any time he likes:

Quite a lot actually. Just from yapping with you and BM I get a very comforting sense that if things are sometimes a bit t!ts-up with your SO and you occasionally fancy the thought of strangling them then that's just NORMAL and not a case for ditching the whole shebang and running off to greener pastures. It's not that in talking to you guys I've lowered my expectations of relationships, it just makes the wobbly bits seem less scary.

For the first time ever I would LOVE to get married.

PA, BM, you rock the pair of you.

When you posted him yesterday, he made me think of Jason, is it Statham? Something like that.

Oh never mind the arguments you might have or that she has a bad habit of scrarching your back when she gets overtly excited Lol!

Seriously, it makes me wonder... Are people who expect these kinda answers even ready for a relatioship?

BM:

LOL! Well the term "tossing the cabre" got a whole new meaning now .

If someone is stuck in the thinking that having Sun Trine Venus means they will never have to compromise over something trivial then I can't help them any.

Me and mr bm are tight. But that doesn't mean we don't have our moments, and neither do I assume it couldn't all go down the pan starting from tomorrow.

I get tired of repeating that you can make something positive out of tense aspects, no-one wants to hear that, they just want an easy ride.

So to speak.
