I can't figure out what the intended outcome is here. Are we supposed to pass around a hat to raise money to get your children's father's family out of Pakistan? Because if so, I don't understand why it took 8 pages to say as much.

Maybe I can figure this out. Maybe the only intention is getting the ball rolling on securing ill will for the latest President. I personally can't imagine the scenario that would allow an American President to be popular with everyone always. That would be interesting to see. I can assure you that it definitely wouldn't happen under Ron Paul.

yeah right Zala, like l really need this kind of negative attention! lol

wow this thread has certainly been enlightening, that's for sure.

AG, your last post makes me sick. Actually, l said it in my initial post that started this godforsaken thread... and no, i'm not so warped as to wish to pass a hat round. Dear me!

Ok, for the second time RANDALL please delete this thread. I believe it is my right, as copyrighter of the original post for me to ask it to be removed and for you to comply?
Thank you.

HA! write... so true, on all fronts
so perceptive you are!

All l was doing is airing my grievances about O'Bomber going into Pakistan because the USA want 'control' over the country. This coincided with the Eclipse and look what happened. It's like l let friends stay in my house for the wekend and they had a rave and burnt the whole place down
that's all, ya know? I hate violence.. really dislike those who don't practise what they preach and abhor a bitchy mentality. So unattractive.

AG, your last post makes me sick.

Why? I'm trying to understand where you're coming from.

quote:
Actually, l said it in my initial post that started this godforsaken thread

You made no mention of your family in your initial post. You mentioned Pakistan, and your belief that there's little terrorism, but nothing of family, which -IF YOUR FAMILY WAS GETTING LITERALLY MURDERED- would seem like a good place to start. Instead, this minor detail gets left until we're 8 pages in. I'm sorry if my questioning you on this makes you sick, but I tend to think it's reasonable that a person would want to communicate their thoughts effectively from the start.

quote:
i'm not so warped as to wish to pass a hat round. Dear me!

Why would that be warped? If you care for people there who are getting murdered I would think you'd want to help them get out of there. That makes practical sense, doesn't it?

quote:
I hate violence

I hate violence, too. Most of the people here that you've disagreed with also hate violence. It was between Obama and McCain, and I don't see how anyone could assume McCain would be less violent.

actually AG i'm pretty private and humble.. l don't loudmouth my lifestyle all over LL and so l didn't wish to mention my "family"... but then the thread went awol thanks to a handful of hijackers and so l throw it in.

Anyway, why is everyone attacking me... i'm the only one sticking to the actual original thread!!!

lara i don't think anyone's attacking you. the intent of your thread was derailed its true, but your original post was a little fuzzy that way...there were several different issues you set out there. i responded to the "puppet" and "icke" portions more than the "bombing pakistan" because i didn't really know much about the latter...i have discovered since that yes, obama gave the okay to another, already scheduled bombing in a series that has been going on for the last 6 months.

it sickens me that for this election we had to choose between a) a man who projected another 100 years of war in the ME, staying and upgrading our presence in iraq and quite likely going after iran too!; and b) a man who saw the stupidity of being in iraq, wanted to end the "endless" war, and thought the best way to do that was to step up pressure on afghanistan!?!

i too believe the whole terrorist thing is a sham. however not because of the likes of david icke, who i consider to be capitalizing on a lot of people's paranoia, even though a lot of the PIECES are right, the PUZZLE doesn't fit (or maybe fits too well for reality in his case). i was appalled to see obama, so smart and so rational, falling for or feigning to fall for, the whole al qaida ruse.

but he was the first candidate we've had in umpteen years who has the potential to work within the confines of the role, which as you rightly intuit, is very much squeezed and pressured by the ruling class and the politicians who are in there. i think there's a possibility that this man is the real deal, but we have to wait and see. THE FUTURE IS UNWRITTEN>>>>>

I wish love and healing to everyone here.

Let us all open the door an inch wider to compassion and objectivity.

And Let us do our best to curb the reactive energy, without losing our motivation and purpose.

It is easy to lose control of ourselves, and become lost in identification with our beliefs.

And when the tragedies of people whom we feel empathy for touch and disturb us,
it is a thousand times easier to go off half-cocked, pointing fingers left and right in our quest for justice.

Just as it is understandable how people can be provoked by such behavior.

How can I hold anybody accountable for their reactions in this thread,
when I am deeply aware of the larger causal web in which we live, move, and have our being?

I cannot judge. I only see myself reflected here, by all of you.

And I try to learn, as all of you do.

I think it is easier for me to be objective right now,
simply because nobody is currently pointing fingers at me,
but, if I were more involved in this, as you all are,
or if, god forbid, I had lost family members,
I'm pretty sure I would be thrashing about like mad right now.

I just wish love and understanding for all of us.

I know we are all good people, and nobody here consciously wishes harm to anybody else here.

But such is the confusion of life; that our intentions become obscured;
they float off and we swipe at them with our fingertips,
and we grab whatever we can, hoping to raise ourselves.
Then we hurt others, though our initial and deepest intention is precisely to heal.

We are not the enemy. We need to work toward understanding each other.

If we cannot communicate peacefully with other spiritually-minded people,
what chance do we have of softening the hearts of the truly bitter and cold?

We are, ultimately, on the same team here.

And, though I see room for improvement and understanding,
I also understand the reactions of people here, without judging.

I wish you all could stop hurting and getting "hooked" by the imperfections,
which, if we are not tolerant, threaten to provoke us all into our worst selves.

We are all so much better than that. We are all agents of love and light.

Let us remember.

I think I've put people in this position before, but I don't I've ever been in this position myself.

I've made every point I want to make. I think I understand a little bit of where Lara's coming from. I've offered my solution to the dilemma of safety in Pakistan.

There are obviously some differing opinions on things, not all of which have been addressed, but I was already fine with whatever further communication Lara wanted to make on the subject. A lot of the big differences of opinion have already been discussed to my satisfaction.

So I only post this to say that I had already left it alone when I come back to find a stated hope that we all find a way to make nice.

The end.

AG,

You have a point.

I thought you handled yourself admirably,
and touched down on every major point,
if not to anyone's satisfaction but your own.

But I was also thinking outside the thread.

Is this lesson ever really over?

God Bless,
s

Is the lesson ever over? (I'm sure someday it will be.)

I don't take issue with anything you said, I just felt the need to clarify things. Ego thing, I know. Typical Capricorn realizes what the perception could be misinterpretted. The perception being that I bow out as a result of a plea to do so, which is a fine thing to do, but it takes my action away from being the result of my own thought processes and designates them as the result of someone else's. That's all. It's like an integrity thing or something.

WOW HSC... that was awesome. You are scorpio, right? Scorpio's strip me naked every time (sigh)

May l ask what your moon, venus and mars are in. I NEED to find myself a male friend/lover with the same combo. I love that depth cos it is in sync with my intensity and passion.

AG, i'm sorry if l was rude to you. I get extremely passionate about things and l can almost picture myself there, in the situation im passionate about. I was only sharing my feelings and thoughts in my initial post. I am not the kind of person to just blurt out "omg family are dying in pakistan". I just feel let down, severely let down by this world and so l take my own life into my own hands now and find out everything about everything so that no one can surprise me

HSC always is Lara!
And I think you are too and I am with you all the way.
I love how you stick your head above the parapet, let people shoot at you and still remain cheerful.
I don't think you possess one ounce of malice in your whole body.
My mother always said I reminded her of one of those Russians dolls with the round base.
That you knock down and they just roll back smiling.
Or is it a wheeble???
Anyway that's you and I mate!!!!

Aqua (with either Leo or Virgo rising not sure which)
Mars, Venus, Moon in Aries.
Yes It's a quiet life I've had.
NOT!!!
But I am unable to hold a grudge and I am thankful for that.

haha we are like peas in a pod!
Leo AC
moon/venus in aries
mars in taurus
no quiet life here either! and funnily enough, l am unable to hold grudges even if l wanted to also!!!

I do love Aquarian suns though... they are just so fascinating, honest and free-spirited. I think Aquarians and Arians have a lot in common actually.
