This is taking awhile. 1. Unitarian Universalism (100%) 2. Liberal Quakers (97%) 3. Reform Judaism (93%) 4. Neo-Pagan (92%) 5. New Age (87%) 6. New Thought (85%) 7. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (78%) 8. Mahayana Buddhism (73%) 9. Scientology (73%) 10. Hinduism (66%) Wow! ...so when I thought that maybe I should explore being a Unitarian Universalist pastor, my instinct may have been right! (It's kind of weird, because if UU has any fundamental beliefs I don't know what they are. All I know is that they're supposed to be tolerant of all beliefs present in the congregation.) IP: Logged |

Gosh, those mormon missionaries musta made an impact...Brother or squire Eamon and Joshua or whatever their title is...they were h-h-hHOTTT!*@!!#@*!!!!....How could I not invite them in to my living room with open arms, lol I was in my late 20's and had a couple of children and yeah, I thought why not let these two young adonises in to rest their spectacular selves. So yeah, they came in and I just kind of went all gooey and enjoyed their well versed and masterful interaction. I guess I may have thought I was partial to being inverted, oops i mean, converted by them...but hey it was a worthwhile hour...kinda like a double date but without the unnecessary extra girl, teehee. And they even set up a follow-up with two more of their awesome brethren. *sigh* no, nothing untoward happened...they left with all their accoutrements undisturbed, haha Nahh, seriously, the 100% mormon thing has barrelled me, totally. I definitely do not agree with all their stuff(i googled) but maybe some of my 'not applicables' jettisoned me into their theological midst, chuckle And yeah the Jehovah's, wow, Karma! Those few choice moments at my front door as they listened with the patience of Job to my tortured theorising, must have paid off for them, lol Oh yeah, the orthodox jew in 3rd...now that is poignant, just the other day I was thinking that I exhibit some Yiddish mothering in my overly-neurotic obsession with my children...and yes, I could send strudel in a parcel when they are away from home! Well, it was a fun quiz, and I'm not discounting it - I kind of treasure my newly found religious associations and I must admit I'm probably pretty much a staunch supporter of some of their code. Yeah no, I am of celtic/gaelic origin, my grandfather was born and bred in the orkney islands(that's where my selkie/mer origins cut in, lol) IP: Logged |

Spunk.. you and me both LOL.. Although when I went to college in Oregon (Concordia) I met an incredible Quaker family when we played George Fox University 1. Orthodox Quaker (100%) 2. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (97%) 3. Eastern Orthodox (94%) 4. Roman Catholic (94%) 5. Seventh Day Adventist (89%) 6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (86%) 7. Liberal Quakers (64%) 8. Sikhism (62%) 9. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (59%) 10. Orthodox Judaism (58%)
Truth is.. I am a conservative Lutheran (Missouri Synod) with a conservative Catholic side of the family and I married a non-practicing Mormon (which he will crack up when he finds out it made my top 10. I'd love to see what his results are LOL...
Then again.. I also have a pagan side to me but those beliefs are very personal and are expressed through my beliefs. If that makes sense? IP: Logged |
