Yes, I am wondering also.I actually think that IQ`s first rule is not to be ignored. ASC has to have a 2° aspect to important planets (maybe even only conjunction, trine, sextile) or maybe also the Moon, but many soulmates will fall through the net of that rule. 
Also, let`s not forget my pet-rule / method: House-rulers.
No strong aspect to ruler of 4th house or IC - no soulmates.

Also, we can have many soulmates, but the timing has to be right.I guess we should look more at the progressions than we do. The natal synastry is all about potential, but if the potential isn`t triggered, I think nothing is going to happen.
Example:
That singer I found pretty intriguing, we had pretty outstanding aspects and had a nice little chat, too, so, yes we actually met.
We even had that DW of Pluto-persephone. lol
plus a Sun-Moon-conjunction, Sun-Sun-conjunction, ASC-Eros-DW, strong interaction between name asteroids, exchange of MC-ASC - axis.
STrong aspects to the ASC - DSC, or ruler of these.
Example: ruler of his DSC was conjunct my ASC - which is a BOOM-connection.
ruler of my 5th house was conjunct his Sun and Moon. So there was pretty nice stuff going on. But we didn`t have any supporting progressons, not even ONE. All we had was an exact Venus-Uranus-trine in the progression, which probably describes my intrigue and the excitement coming with it and nothing more. I believe, in the end it comes really down to what is triggered and FREE WILL and personal taste. IP: Logged |

Ah you have to tell us all about the meeting when you`re back. Actually, I mean to say, look at the IC (as the fourth house varies from housesystem to housesystem, but the IC is the deepest point in our chart, you can`t get any deeper). IP: Logged |

Ok, quick-quick-quick question:If you do a horary and the Moon squares Saturn, but the square is a 10 degree orb, does it count? And also, if your answer is NO but you proceed anyways, does the universe bite you in the arse, lol? My best, good buddy likes a boy, but she's with someone else. So i told her about horary charts annnnddd i just did one- she asked if she should chase this other guy-but can't read it. LOL! Venus squares Pluto (but i don't think Pluto counts), and sextiles Mars/Jupiter. Moon squares Saturn (Moon @ 10* Gemini/Saturn @ 20* Virgo), squares Uranus(Uranus @ 20* Pisces), trine Sun & Jupiter. I feel like the answer is, "No, you shouldn't go for him... but maybe later"?

i dont know what you are looking for with that. progressions wise, my vertex was conjunct my dc the day we met. whatever the stars say the connection is they say, but i know it is a very significant relationship in my life.IP: Logged |

Sunshine,LOVE is the ultimate answer to that question, and nothing else. But applying astrology, yes, I think soulmate-relations will be reflected in aspects from IC or ruler of IC to - Sun, Moon, NN, ASC, IC, Venus, Mars (Saturn, Pluto)
- ruler of 1st, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th or maybe even 12th Meta, 10° is much too wide. Can you post the horary? IP: Logged |

dd- so you think there are possibly hundreds of soulmates? doesnt that kind of make it like cheetos, cheap and easy to find? i thought soulmate was a deeper kind of bond.

Sunshine,you have a NN-IC-conjunction in synastry. I think that is definitely strong. Vertex conjunct DSC definitely is a good trigger, or a significant trigger. Hmm, I do not necessarily believe we have hundreds of soulmates, but I think there might be a few. But some are closer to us than others. Think of it as a family, your soul family. IP: Logged |

ok dd- after you look at the meta chart - tell me your feeling on this - if soulmate is a LOVE bond- how is it possible to meet 8-10 soulmates in as many months? you dont get over loving one person in one month, sometimes not even a year or years. or i don't anyway. how is that possible. Ihave loved more than one man, and loved hard, but not in a short span of time, there is always the rebound relationship if you dont wait to heal, or i have to say a period of time when you can not give your heart as it just isnt ready to love again just yet. is astrology accurate and 8-10 soulmates in one year might be possible, or is it all just numbers and love is love? i mean what is your take on this?IP: Logged |

Sun,I totally understand where you're coming from. I think that there are different types of connections. You can find a soulmate, and be totally in sync with them, but not romantically interested. There are different types of soulmates. Some you look at romantically, some you look at emotionally, mentally, spiritually, sexually, etc. I don't believe that you bump into several though. I believe that there are those certain people you meet that you bond with, and that change you for the rest of your life- be it good or bad. The point of a soulmate is to grow. You're growing with, because of, or in spite of someone. Soulmates teach you things, lessons. So what it really boils down to is HOW they are teaching you that lesson- through friendship? Romantic love? Through being your enemy? Etc.  IP: Logged |

i mean i am skeptical when i hear people say they have met a soulmate, then next week another soulmate, then two weeks later, yet another soulmate. i personally find it hard to believe. like are they lined up in the driveway? all soulmates form line to the left....next...dismissed...next...dismissed...next....doesnt that take away from the sacred thing that a soulmate should really be, special.IP: Logged |

Oh, i totally agree. A "Soulmate" is supposed to be rare. You're lucky if you find one person like that in your lifetime. But after having reallllyyyy thought about it, there is more than one person who i think is embedded in me forever. That's the way i view a soulmate. I don't think they come in packs. I think they are rare. I do. Not everyone who you click with is your soulmate. I suppose that when you find one, you just know. You feel it. There's no doubt in your mind, body, spirit that this person is meant to be a part of you in some way. IP: Logged |
