Aqua Angel just announced he would like Lego for his birthday this week. My feet are still bleeding from the pieces that I had to walk over to get to the computer. And the vaccum is choked up with Lego pieces. What do you think?IP: Logged |

Thanks! Sometimes these little holes can be mended ~ a clever dry-cleaners performed such a task on behalf of my wallet a couple of years back. IP: Logged |

Minimialist Mutables. Sorry, not one. There were a couple of compulsive hoarders in my family. I'm not that bad, but I have to work hard to keep down the clutter and I find it hard to just throw things out. They have to be recycled, taken to the charity shop or put to some use if at all possible. But at the other end of the scale it amazes me what people throw out. Toys that are still in good condition ~ why not take them to the hospital for the kids to trash? The nurses will have to disinfect everything so often it will soon reach the end of its life, but at least it will have had some use before it goes. Sometimes objects reach the end of their life. But before they do...

I'm the same as you bm.I find it hard to throw things that still have life in them away. Children's clothing is a big one. People used to think that no 2 was a boy because I refused to buy girls clothes and she wore all the hand me downs from big brother. I thought it was practical. They are passed down to number three until they are so worn they have to be disposed. In the end I used to put a pink hairband in the girls' hair so people could distinguish the sexes. And I bought a few dresses. Eventually. Now they choose their own, but they still get big brother's hand me downs. I don't buy pyjamas, etc, they sleep in his old stuff. IP: Logged |

The thing that really gets my knickers in a knot is when my children waste food. Blood boils.IP: Logged |

Like me as a kid (big bro), and I had second-hand clothes, too. At the time, quite frowned upon. I still have the habit. Hence the vintage designer numbers. The price is comparable as High Street numbers and the quality is better. Oh, listen to me.

Children's leftovers fried with an egg and plastered in ketchup. It's not that bad.... Or it gets chucked in a stew. Should I admit this in public? Mama Dustbin. IP: Logged |

I can be a little anal with words. I have always used open punctuation and even that's going out. It's hard enough explaining to the kids that Weet-Bix is actually Wheat Biscuits, etc. What really annoys me is TXT talk here. Drives me ******* mad.IP: Logged |

Text speak is alright in a text. I hate posts that are splattered with it. Readability is the key. The odd apostrophe doesn't matter too much, but clarity does. When grammar, punctuation and struture heads into freestyle, we can end up with a tangled mess. remember stars with his jumbled posts and er yeah i knew this girl once back in ban d camp he had nepune mercury cross if i remember and that cacner mercury bust me why all the eomtonal posts and the controversiey I kind of liked the guy though in a funy wy and hey i keep dgoing to copitalise hiere mustnt do that IP: Logged |
