ROFL. I've been sitting here folding the clothes and have had this smell I've been trying to trace, only to discover it is coming from my right shoulder. I must have brushed against something during the course of the day.

Re the car seat covers...If they are true wool they are meant to actually keep you cool too.

Yeah, I can see what you're saying about the eyes. He has "something" though. Is awesome in The Tudors.

Really? They're so hot to the touch. I'm sure they're real. I can't stand wool directly on my skin. It makes me itchy.

***PA quietly opens door of Zala's boudoir. PA can't believe the un-Earthly sounds emanating from the sleeping Zala. PA turns on torch and scans the room searching for flashing objects. Behold, PA finds the missing sequins.***

BM is alright, off in a couple of hours for the op. If it goes ahead, she says, with full optimism. (Siberian snow on the roads, etc, etc).

This brings me on to my theme of today, Moon/Jupiter.

Anyone got any thoughts on the link between this and depression?

Just inspired by this having been on the empathy thread, an interesting one for a change. In the past this subject has brought up posts that remind me of Monty Python's Yorkshiremen. Anway, it is really about depression.

Moon/Jupiter has cropped up on the charts of friends with depression or manic depression a few times. My thought on this is that it is overpowering emotion. Moon/Neptune, I have theories about that and switch-off mechanisms. But it is unlikely to touch Astro2, where they argue over everything, and get defensive over anything not full of praise.

Anyway, Moon/Jupiter classic chart:

From today's Sun:

quote:
Oz is hot for Brits

BRITS are moving to Australia in record numbers, a poll found.

Freezing weather and economic gloom were blamed for the 31 per cent jump last year.

Tropical Queensland was the top destination, removals firm Pickfords said.

But those escaping the cold could face the opposite problem — an Oz heatwave has seen temperatures top 104°F (40°C) and claimed more than 20 lives.

Yeah, I think Queensland is a big move directly from Britain. You really don't understand how hot it is until you've experienced it. It's not that its warm, it's that you stand in the sun for ten seconds and you can actually feel your skin burning. It's not just the heat either, but the humidity. We are a couple of hours from the Queensland border so our temperatures and weather is quite similar. We get the storms before they do. When it's been 35+ degrees non-stop day and night for over a week, you just want to crawl out of your own skin. It's horrible. When you are inside with cooling and walk out it is literally like hitting some wall of heat. And inside the car? Oh man, don't ask.
