Politically insensitve? IMO, using the word 'vagina' is unnecessary. Could they have just used the word 'woman'? We don't usually refer to Chuck Norris as 'that dude with a penis'. So, my answer is yes. IMO, it's not out of the question for someone with autism to become an expert at martial arts. Of course, that depends on which part of the spectrum they are. Higher functioning autism doesn't have to be a barrier to learning martial arts at a high level. Maybe someone with more complex autism may struggle. So, my answer is no. But what is the actual title? If the title is using 'vagina' and 'autism' then it's an unnecessary title and my answer would be yes. IP: Logged |

Well true it isn't Koi and the greater half of the population of this planet doesn't understand that. For some odd reason, this particular film seems to offend people who themselves don't even have autisim yet are labling this movie as an expolitation of people who are disabled.... Depicting a character with a disability as an athletic 21st Century Mui Thai Warrior is exploitation?! I fail to see it. IP: Logged |

I fail to see it, too. Today I received a group email from a mother with a son with austism. He has won scholarship after scholarship in math(s) and will be holding a predominant job in a government department. He's a hero in my book. Math(s) is virtually impossible to understand at that level.People with disabilities need positive role models and mentors. IP: Logged |

I wonder, if we were to ask those people to prove that it's offensive material, how would they do so.IP: Logged |

I have noticed it can be translation errors or even that some Asian thinking does not see certain words or depictions as vulgar. Anime'/Manga for example....nudity is not as taboo... However yes! Autistic people can indeed learn martial arts! Many become quite focused on "one" thing. I personally know of two people who are autistic. One is mildly so and is retired now, but was in the military and held down a job and raised a family. The other is a Karate/Judo Master and has his own dojo.IP: Logged |

Autistic people are not idiots. In fact a lot of them have extremely high IQs. It is very possible for them to learn martial arts. They would probably be better than I am, as they are more able to focus lol.IP: Logged |
