Hi good girl, MVM, Xodian,

thought I would throw in some suggestions...

1. a treasure hunt, complete with a map for friends

2. paint a fence mural on someone's fence(on some kind of removeable, if need be, light board)

3. party in the park with party games

4. 'boule' with neighbours

5. star gazing with fellow budding astronomers

I love a backyard cookout and some cold beer.

meteor showers
rain showers (for that matter!)
lawn games
marshmallow roast/bonfire
water balloon fight
bicycling
walking
amusement park
zoo
laundry
swimming
skinny dipping

Chryseis, I like the treasure hunt idea - it sounds fun

I'm a sucker for dinner parties...if the weather is fair, you string up some lights in the early evening outside, and dine there with friends...having a nice wine tasting too.
Jeez, I just noticed how boring all the stuff I put is: gardening and dinner parties. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
Well, I think they're fun!!

Future_uncertain put up laundry, and then made up for it with skinny dipping

future_uncertain, funny you should say meteor showers - I made an offhand prediction about a meteor shower for February over a slavic country - maybe just the best view from there anyway, so yeah look out for it for me if you like.
