Yeah I know, I find it pretty fun, too."and because it frustrates you that you can't keep up with me." hahaha, this amuses me greatly. And that right there, was a claim. And yes, I know I'm stating a claim. I indeed see your declarations not to have been logically processed by a mind directly interested in what the declarations declare (though as writesomething pointed out, it's quite likely you're interested in the claim to maintain ego, as pretentious as this is (theoretically from you, not of writesomething's theory)). It seems as if you're the one who has trouble differentiating between claims and arguments, seeing our last quarrel in which I explain the difference between an opinion and a fact. IP: Logged |

I've shown your elaborations and explanations wrong! You can no longer regard them as correct, until you reproach with a logic which obsoletes mine. And such shrugging off as "you're just a kid" is not, alone, logic. You could indeed declare a theory about children and their inferiority in arguments, but I would likely counter that with some logic that would obsolete it. Way to talk about prejudice, for that one.IP: Logged |

I'm not talking about your age. You've shown me nothing, son. Try to put two ideas together. Your thoughts are short, short thoughts. And you sound more pretentious than I do. Don't try to sound smart. It doesn't become you. IP: Logged |

Well.. yes in the ACTUAL topic of this thread I'm rather indifferent and almost more agree with you, though I am more complacent. But I disagree with your personality/strategy, and what I was referring to when I said I depleted you logic was just when you implied what I was saying was a superficial parallel (that quote), and so I replied with my strait forward explanation of why not.Funny, I don't declare I'm smart, I declare you're stupid. And what worth is the analogy of a stupid man? IP: Logged |

quote: I don’t have any feelings one way or the other about Nicole Kidman or her wealth or life or anything else. But I found the “joke” about her hands in really poor taste, or let’s say, without class and completely lacking in compassion. It takes guts and poise to go out in public with imperfect body parts, knowing that *someone* is going to make snide cracks about it. My hands look worse than hers – it doesn’t look quite like the psoriasis (a chronic condition) I have on my hands, but close. Does anyone realize how hard it is to hide your hands from those who will judge you for fun, unless you wear gloves all the time?? I guess it’s OK and even encouraged in this culture to sh!t on people you don’t like, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it or participate in malicious, sarcastic "comedy" at the expense of others. Doubt if I will even look at the link T, if this is the kind of “humor” and "wit" found there -- I don't see anything "playful" about this example.....
Zala, this post was so awesome.
I just have to give you props again. I'm sorry you caved to peer pressure. You could have been a contender.

I really dont think Zala gave into peer pressure HSC. LOL You even agreed with her earlier when she said everyone could be a little more understanding of where others come from._______________ *deleted the rest which i will explain why in an upcoming post IP: Logged |

You don't see me do anything. You read some thoughts I may have here and think you have me all figured out. Because I wrote something once or had a certain opinion on something at one point in time, doesnt mean that it's true a month later. You asked Z to ask me my opinion on having children. Why? My thoughts are not concrete HSC. Just because I may have said something once doesnt mean it's the same today. And I like how you BOLDED "your" in "because it's no skin off your back" above. Trying to say that I'm the type of person that doesnt care about others and it's all about me or something? Nice try. And I will "latch on" to whatever "truths" I want to. Just because they are not yours, doesnt automatically make them "untruths". Okay? IP: Logged |

Thanks Ghani and MVM.Yeah, my cycles are debilitating. I'm getting some tests done to try and figure out what's going on. I've put this off for way too long for a number of reasons, but something serious is definitely going on and i need to find out what it is. Something is way 'off' and it's making everything else a lot harder and has been for some time. It really throws me off and makes me more of an emotional mess. No, I dont have a diagnosis yet, but should soon. Thanks for telling me about the acupressure point. I will look it up. Yep, been doing a lot of sleeping and resting today/tonight. Wow MVM. I know there have been times (like today) that I probably shouldve gotten myself to the emergency room too. There was no way i couldve driven myself there though. I thought I was going to black out. Shaking, soaked in sweat, severe cramping, throwing up etc. The usual. It's not always this bad, but has been too many times before. Even when it's not this bad, it's never pleasant. The pms makes me feel completely nuts, an emotional basketcase and scatterbrained. I think i scared my poor therapist the other day and she asked me where I was in my cycle. I told her it wasnt due for awhile, because it wasnt, then came out of nowhere. I now see that she was onto something. lol Evening primrose! I read how that can help and picked some up once. Dont remember now if i noticed it helping much. I'll have to pick up some more along with vitamin E. Thanks! Yeah, the booby pain sucks too. lol IP: Logged |

I'm sitting here wondering why it is so hard for some to agree to disagree. Do you realize we understand where youre coming from HSC? That everyone doesnt need to see it your way and that's okay? And if you want to think we are unevolved and "bitchy", you are entitled to that too? Youve made your points clear and your voice heard. Do you feel you havent? IP: Logged |

I don't like the name-calling either (Snohawk), and I find it terrible to drag age into this (HSC)...I know I hated having it done to me when I was younger (come on, who doesn't hate it?)Personally, I do not think every post and thread has to plummet the depths of the psyche or have meaning. Some of us do that for a living full-time and need a break, to laugh, to engage in the frivolity of fluffy cotton candy posts. Or to at least have the OPTION to do so. I think we're downright lucky to have that option. Last thing I'm going to do is claim I'm some kind of saint here, because yeah, I do like well-written b!tchy writing about anything (including celebrities). In some cultures insult is an art. If it's done well, it's admirable. If it's badly spoken/written, it's disastrous. So I can respect a well-written, intelligent, b!tchy gossip column. I'm not going to sit there grazing on the site all day. But I will appreciate it. I mean, it's there on the menu, just like foi gras (but not as tasty), and if I have a taste for it (which I sometimes do), I will order it. Then I'll hate myself a while (but not for long), because I like to eat meat, and yes, I like veal too, and raw meat, dripping with blood. I know that makes me pretty despicable, but it tastes soooooo good (when the grade of meat is topnotch). If they banned veal, I would really miss it, but I wouldn't go and get some poor calf and cage it and then slaughter it myself (because I love cute, lovely animals)....Oh no, I want someone else to do the dirty work for me. I just want to enjoy the thing. So I am a dirty, hypocritical carnivore and yet also damn proud of it (in-between bites of meat or fattened liver, I sob a little bit and can't figure out if it's because the thing tastes so effing good or because a poor animal had to be painfully slaughtered for my wh0rishly decadent enjoyment. I think it may be a little bit of both) IP: Logged |

No, Stephen. I resorted to attacking you because you brought personal stuff about me onto this thread that I had not mentioned on these boards. That is so out of line it's rediculous. You may want to dump all the things of your life here for "empathy and compassion", but I didn't, and you had no right to bring it up. None at all. I could mention what disgusting comments you made to me after me telling you something extremely personal, but I am not that much of a hypocrite. Or am I? I don't care, but go ahead and cry about everyone ganging up on you, changing the subject from your enlightened train of thought or whatever else you need to say to twist and manipulate what you are doing here. We are all wrong and you are right. Yeah. Go ahead and think that you are more deeply emotional than anyone else on earth, if that makes you feel better, have at it. Keep taking bits of your chart apart to "prove" it. And keep thinking that you are the only one trying to get others to see things in a different way or to "think on a deeper level". Anyone who cares to read what you write, as Zala said, may be deeply moved at times, but rest assured at some point you will go too far with them and undo all your illusions. Peace. IP: Logged |
