There's no story. It's friends getting together and talking - about anything and everything. That's all there is to it.IP: Logged |

Hey XmanIt may just not be my cup of tea lol. I thought it sounded like theme music from Final Fantasy, perhaps I'm just showing my age. IP: Logged |

Lol! I won't hold it against you Spunki . Its not Final Fantasy but its close: Its from the Tsubasa chronicle. The title of the piece is "The Song of Storm and Fire" and I think it was so appropriate in descibing a Libra/Scorpio union Lol!Here is the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OBEHUF2C_A IP: Logged |

Hello Um.....I have decided that life in this house is most uncomfortable at present & I am going to speak with the roomie shortly & just thinking about has made feel quite sick to my stomach all of a sudden, which is weird.
I spoke to her earlier ( the usual pleasantries, how was your day etc ) & she is just forcing herself to be polite because I'm being nice. So I need you to fire me up lol. I can't stand feeling this way. IP: Logged |

The only time we care about confrontation like this is when we care about how the other person reacts or thinks - especially of us. It's natural to want to be liked. So that's what you have to remove from the equation. You have to release attachment to caring what she thinks of you. You have to risk being disliked. So, it's not just about her and the tension - it's a big thing for you - deeply personal.I don't suggest getting fired up, as in aggressive for you. I really suggest centering yourself. Sit down with a piece of paper and draw a small circle in the middle - that's you. Then around that draw another circle and draw the person closest to you - which I imagine is your son. Then do another circle and put in there the person who matters most next. And you keep doing that - until you come to her name. If it's the fourth circle - so be it. If it's the 20th - same. But you'll see where she stands with you and how much this person matters to you. Come back after you've done that. IP: Logged |

That is a great suggestion, PA. Are several people allowed in one circle? IP: Logged |

Neither can I believe this. It so horrible. But no, they aren`t near to us.However, as I said, we`ve had a "shooting-warning" last year, too. Someone announced through ICQ that the chat-partner should stay at home the next day (a monday), cause there would be a shooting. This boy was very alarmed and told his mother, who called my headmaster, who got the police involved, which was present at our school for some days. In the end it turned out to have been just a "joke", but you never know this, as the last day definitely showed again. In our case the worst thing was that the politicians ordered us to keep that pupil, who had done the threat, at our school and continue teaching him. Well, his mother eventually decided to let him change schools, accusing us of being "not objective" and "against her son just becuase of a schoolboy`s joke", and that even his fellow pupils would keep away from him and make him an outsider, which she apparently found very surprising. I'm sitting in a forward-facing seat on the bus, and Indian gypsy woman from last week has plopped herself directly in front of me in the sideward-facing seat. From this vantage point I can easily see what her newspaper-covered book is about. Any guesses? Love Stories From The Raj heads the left pages. The Compassionate Judge heads the right.IP: Logged |

I was tickled to be able to update about her in real time without her knowledge from a ridiculously close proximity. She was dressed very similarly to last time. The denim long skirt was replaced with a bright green long skirt. The purple scarf was replaced with a scarf that had pastel pink on one side, and pastel blue on the other side. Same black coat. I wished my phone's camera didn't have a shutter sound, so I could have illustrated my view.I live to be fascinated by the little things. IP: Logged |

Hi Aussies!I'm sure you guys are about to be here since it's time for me to hit the sack. I just remembered about the lunch thing we were talking about. Growing up in southern California, my schools didn't have an indoor cafeteria until High School. We ate outside at lunch tables primarily. I always brought lunch. Those that didn't bring lunch could purchase lunch at the school. It was prepared and served by paid staff, and the lunch for the day was the same for everyone. There was a calendar that showed what was being served, and that was it as far as I remember. There was no parent input. There may have been alternatives for children with food sensitivities, but I think that would be the only deviation from the production line lunch that most kids got. In High School there was an indoor cafeteria as well as a separate snack bar, which also served hot food. I still brought lunch. IP: Logged |

I remember those lunches in school in S Cali too. Man, I hated our lunches. The worst pizza. A bunch of tomato pasted smooshed onto some microwaved bread, the cheese stuff glued to the paper plate. Thank god for tater tots and peanut butter crackers On another note, I am freakin' EXHAUSTED but I have too much crap to do. Not only do I have my job and my new website that I am trying to design, but now this writing workshop too - 4 students work a week to critique....that's 4 LONG CHAPTERS to read and thoroughly critique AND also write my own stuff to have critiqued. How is this even possible? What the hell, the last time I took this workshop it was half the amount of students. Now it's double Are they crazy? How the hell is anyone supposed to get any work done?! And they won't even give me a refund! Sorry....rant over

MVM I'm sorry you feel so overwhelmed & under pressure.
Sweetheart you know you have overloaded yourself & are heading for a burn out right? Might I suggest taking some time out just for you to meditate or take a walk if that is what you prefer but let it be something that refreshes your mind because your adrenals are running to hot I'd say. Take care of yourself
