Would you read this book on a bus???

What would any Aqua Mooner say to that? In absolute delight.

MVM,

I second that suggestion. Try to relax a bit, well, as much as possible.

Guys,
I have a question for you.
Do you believe the existence of Aliens?
And if they do exist (on earth), why do they seem to reside only on the American continent and Egypt?
Why not in China, Japan, France?

I "potentially" believe that Aliens exist, but most of what I read about that is just so "science fiction" - I don´t know. I really don`t know what to believe anymore.
I want to be open and there are also those who have had their experiences, but I just don`t know.

It`s such a strange world, where much more than we imagine is possible.
But does that mean EVERYTHING is possible?

MVM - whenever it comes to students the workload is bound to increase.

Teachers are generally good people that organisations can easily manipulate.

Why get more staff, but you can off-load to those nice teachers?!

DD - glad you're okay - not pleasant headlines at the moment! There's another risk for nice teachers. Who would ever thought teachers (and students) would ever be at risk of being shot to death?!

I've only got one thing to say....

TEACHERS ARE NICE PEOPLE, GODDAMMIT!!!

Aaaahhhh, that felt good!

DD

Yes, definitely believe in life forms existing on other planets and galaxies, and that they would be curious about humans as we are about them.

I don't involve myself with the DNA mixing theories, etc. I don't believe or disbelieve them - it just no interest to me. I'm not interested in intergalactic politics regardless of the levels of truth or untruth.

That they only exist in certain parts of the world only has to do with the limitations of the awareness of those who say those things. As well as the social acceptability factor. I suppose in some countries, if you started talking about Alien experiences there would be terrible consequences.

DD - If we create our world by what we believe then anything is possible.

We are alien. We come from outer space.

Microwaves bounced into each other causing hydrogen molecules that bounced onto each causing helium molecules that bounced into each other causing lithium molecules until an amoeba appeared then us!!

We are also made up of elements from the Universe - so that proves we are alien.

Oh did you mean - other intelligent life forms? There is an amoeba appearing somewhere that will design an anti-centrefugal, isotopic, anti-matter, molecular transforming, ionic, microgravitational space-travel capsule.

Or did you mean aliens that have visited us?

Of course! They mucked around with genetic engineering of mammoth proportions and suddenly there were dinosaurs. Then they mucked around a bit more after being bored watching monkeys jump around in trees and held a competition on who could produce the most entertaining animal. Cro-magnon was produced and the Homo Sapien version as well.

lol bm

Yes, I think she could be related. Oh, I just feel silly now. Ah, unfortunately, not a foreign feeling.

I can't tell you how many times I've done something similar this week. I think the universe is telling me to slow down and concentrate on one thing at a time.

OMG! I just realised I handed in nine assignments (I just typed assingments - LOL) on Wednesday. Geez - I hope I didn't pull an Anin in there. I was so over it, I hope I didn't miss a strange faux pas. Or should that be fox pur? Oh, I don't know.

Hello all

Koi - teachers are the hottest sexiest mother ******* people on the planet baby! You know I'm stalking one right now don't you? yummy.

I also say yes to reading that book on a bus uncovered for all to see because I get a kick out of shocking grandma's.

And DD, well I am going to be bold & go against the crowd & say a big no to aliens. While I love Sci Fi movies etc I just don't believe it's true.

There......Now let the debate begin.

The stranger-hate thread has got me hooked. There is so much in it, it could go on for longer than Godzala.

Jealousy isn't an emotion I really feel very much at all, I have to dig deep in my memory bank to recall something of significance. Though I can sense it in other people, particularly men. Nothing to do with my personal attractiveness (nothing special), the sexual jealousy thing is a primal instinct.

My mother once said that she was waiting to deal with sibling rivalry and jealousy when I was born, but it never happened. She's right, I never felt that way about my brother, he's always been protective of me and a good friend, really. Not the case for her, and other people I can see about me. It can cause big problems in families that last a lifetime.

Envy isn't something I spend much time feeling, either. So often things aren't as great as people try to make out and at the heart of my feelings on this I just prefer it when everyone is real with each other.

Not that I am a paragon, not at all. The balance of deadly sins is evened up with Wrath and Sloth.

Like now, I need to clean my house but I just can't be bothered.

Nothing has annoyed me yet today, but yesterday someone told me all about a situation that is annoying him and that started to rub off on me, I felt quite annoyed on his behalf. He is too nice to tell someone they are a lazy b@stard who is imposing on him, but I'm not. I look forward to saying something cutting next time the need arises. I really dislike seeing generous natures taken advantage of ~ it winds me up. One of the many things in life.

There goes the 'fairness factor'!!

I'm not really the jealous type either. I've only felt it when my partner of 3 years disappeared with that 19 year old. Can't say I've really felt any other time.

Am so tired - have been downloading worksheets from enchantedlearning.com for the last few hours.

Good night everyone. Have a great day/night! Sweet dreams!!!

The fairness factor.... must be my Moon at 0* Libra.

I also have a Venus Sag/Leo Mars husband, a prime candidate for generosity that gets taken advantage of...but not that often since I have his back (and a nasty temper).

This choked me right up

quote:
"Never being able to say the word ’Mummy’ again in your life sounds like a small thing. However, for many, including me, it’s now really just a word - hollow and evoking only memories.

“I can therefore wholeheartedly relate to the Mother’s Day campaign as I too have felt - and still feel - the emptiness on such a day as Mother’s Day.”

Thanks for your answers on the "alien-question".

Koi,

brilliantly put. lol

PA,

I think I may be inclined to your point of view. I also wonder, if it`s true, what are the consequences for me and my life?

Spunky,

it`s nice to be different, isn´t it?
Oh and I love Science Fiction, too.

I just started reading a book on that subject, and it basically ties into everything I read on here, but somehow, I don`t know.

I still think it`s possible that there are other lifeforms in this universe, and yet, something about that Alien-talk just is over my head. I don´t mean to disrespect anyone`s opinion or experiences.

It may sound weird, but I am actually glad that you stated you don`t believe in Aliens.

I`m really torn on that subject. But actually there is enough nastiness on earth, so I rather not stuff my head with the nastiness that may come from other planets on top of that.

I still feel like I`m under shock from that shooting.
Of course one reason may be that they have it constantly on the news. I even had to switch off the TV some time ago, cause they were showing a report on this shooting and the one 7 years ago (the quarter of a Saturn-cycle) and I just couldn`t watch this. Besides me watching it and feeling really lousy about it, doesn`t change a thing. I really wished they would stop using tragedies like this to get more viewers.

I'm with you about the news networks, horror mongers I call them sometimes. It is wise to switch off the TV, it will only depress you further.

Hey, you hurt my feelings by saying I don't exist...

I'm just like anyone else. I love green eggs and martian-mallows. I'm really shy, and love music that's out of this world

bluemoon - I can understand how Mother's Day can be uncomfortable for many. Many people have mother issues. Whether they died young, were abusive, got abused. It could be controversial.

Mother's Day at school can feel a little wierd when the children make cards. Of course, options are given, like Grandma and Aunty, etc...

DD - I feel that when someone from my original country does something wrong, it lets me down.

It's very sad that people have taken to shooting others in their sick rage. Has it been mainly men that have done this over the last couple of decades?

I am grateful that men don't have PMT. I'd be on the phone to ET to come and take me away!!!!
