Hi everyone!I hope you're all happy and having a great week!! Have been extremely busy grabbing Life by the horns and sorting it out!!! Demure doesn't mean weak. Placid doesn't mean pushover. Patient doesn't mean stupid. There can be Strength in being Demure, Placid and Patient, but sometimes these virtues need to be given a voice! So this week, I've been using my voice and being heard!!! Maybe that's what the Universe has been trying to tell me - Use my voice!!! That's my philosophy for today..... Love you all and wish I could stay and play!!! IP: Logged |

Just started reading a book and realised a few pages in how many Neptune and 12th house themes had been mentioned already:-a priest a visionary religious experience illusion mental illness drugs dreams living a hermit-like existence sexual fantasy Just thought I'd mention it, don't mind me, etc. IP: Logged |

Saw it in the charity shop, thought it looked a bit out of the usual. Not sure why people keep stopping the plot to have a quick fondle of their parts, I'm going to guess it's because a man wrote it."Our Lady of the Forest tells the story of Ann Holmes, a 16-year old girl who has run away from home after repeated rapes by her mother's boyfriend and two abortions. She lives in a tent in the woods, picking mushrooms and living off candy, marijuana, and anti-allergy medication. She's visited by the Virgin Mary who tells her to have a church built in the woods. After word of her visions circulates, crowds begin to assemble in the woods waiting for the spectacle of the next vision. Drawn into the frenzy is Ann's fellow mushroom picker, Carolyn, a local priest, and Tom Cross, an angry man whose life has fallen apart after an accident left his son a quadriplegic. David Guterson's novel tackles themes of religion, faith, and those who would profit from both. Book Magazine says, "By the end, we're left not with a vision of the extraordinary girl, but of the aspiring, ordinary faithful and their ardent longing to believe. And it is that longing, at the core of the novel, that makes Our Lady of the Forest both riveting and remarkable." http://www.reviewsofbooks.com/our_lady_of_the_forest/

I just got Banker To The Poor by Nobel prize winner Muhammad Yunus, and Brain Rules by John J. Medina on unabridged audio book (audible.com). They were/are having a $5 sale. Gives me something to listen to at work.Yunus doesn't narrate his own book, but the passages where he's presenting his arguments to people in context sounds to me like a fiery Sagittarian. It may be that I'm seeing a Sagittarian Filipino friend in his manner of speech. Ah, I just looked it up, and he's a Cancer. I thought he was a Gemini for a second, (and got excited) but no. Brain Rules is narrated by the author, who has a squeeky voice at times. It's been pretty decent so far. I was kind of surprised to learn that it's a pretty modern book. I think it was released last year. IP: Logged |

I'm thinking they sound more interesting than my current reading material, which consists of a 400+ page book about how computers work. While this is enough to get this nerd excited, it's not enough to make me want to fondle any private bits - mine or anyone elses. So I'm thinking this book is lacking in sexual perversion, priests, happy mushrooms and their pickers.IP: Logged |

bmI think we should cast the movie of your book. Any suggestions? The roles: Ann Holmes, a 16-year old girl the mother the mother's boyfriend the Virgin Mary Ann's fellow mushroom picker, Carolyn a local priest Tom Cross I was thinking of actual famous thespians, but of course, there could also be the Godzala version. Batman, the Dark Knight 83% Neo, the "One" 67% Indiana Jones 63% Maximus 58% Lara Croft 58% Captain Jack Sparrow 58% The Terminator 54% El Zorro 54% William Wallace 54% James Bond, Agent 007 46% The Amazing Spider-Man 42% IP: Logged |

Lexx, I can just imagine you wielding justice as Batman. Audio books, never tried that, right now at work I am with a friendly group who like to chat every now and then. Just what a Gemini needs! I can't cope sitting in silence with people that hate each other. And it's happened! This could turn into Godzala: the book club. I'm up for that one. The film version? Ann Holmes = Meta. Easy casting. Carolyn=P.A I think you could do a convincing cynical sceptic. Even though it might not coincide with your metaphysical view of the universe. Priest=AG If anyone can be horny and sensible at the same time it is my favourite Capricorn. A few pages in, he is struggling with the celibacy thing. As it says in the Old Testament, the writing is on the wall! IP: Logged |

Check out IQHunk's gentlemanly response on the Goddesses thread (where posters jump up to stretch asteroids to speak of their devastating attractiveness to the opposite sex). Classic. My day is too packed full, just the thing to make me smile before I start rushing around. IP: Logged |

I couldn't resist that invitation to look at the Goddess thread, which I had so far avoided. Interesting. I can only conclude that IQ, clearly, hasn't seen me! I should be a sexy, drooled over celebrity. I'm working on it. For confirmation of my, errr, Kaali attributes you can call Christian, Colin, Robert, et al, and I'm sure that they'll be glad to confer. They are contactable at In My Imagination Management Inc. Just ask for PeaceAngel at the reception desk. Or, if you are male, take a number. IP: Logged |
