Rest in peace Natasha.

(edit)
Lara and Peace it is soooo tragic! She was such a wondeful actress and I've been keeping up with the news on Jade that this was an unexpected shock.

Yes, I was doing the same thing and was really stunned and have been keeping up with it as well.

It's really sad. I always think of the children, it just touches home. As a mother, just the thought of being without your children or them being without you is the worst and saddest thing I can think of.

It's like i'm dreaming it. She was so young and such a freak accident.

I know PA, l actually won't fly without my 3 yr old because as selfish as it sounds if anything happened to me l don't know how he would cope. He's with me 24/7 always.

Devastating for the family.
I actually cried when l read this 1st post.

I know, it's the whole Heath Ledger feeling again. Immediately my thoughts go to the kids. Same with Princess Diana.

I get you about your little one. I have been the same with all of mine. I was with them from birth until school 24/7 - the three of them. We're a really really tight little team.

And the other thing is that she's gone so young. Not far from my age. It just hits home hard.

Very very sad. And she and Liam Neeson always seemed so loving and close. Desperately sad for him. According to the news, they turned off her life support. What a heartwrenching decision.

Yeah I felt so numb when Heath Ledger died! Such a down to Earth guy, he seemed normal but so talented!

Jade's illness really touched me because she is so determined to live and her little sons are just so adorable , 5 and 4... They remind me of mine at 4 and 2.
It really hits home...

Turned off her life support!!! How difficult would it be to make that decision!

I can't stop thinking about it. It's just staggering - to think that a couple of days ago everything was fine and then so suddenly...........

I'm just stunned. I can't even begin to imagine. And her mother, as well. The one thing that every parent dreads - that their child will go before them. Terrible.

Without starting a row here, there is a possibility that Jade doesn't have cervical cancer or ever did.
The symptoms and further metastasizing of her "cancer" is decidedly strange to say the least.

yes, and of all the richardson girls she was the best actress, most beautiful and apparently the least ego-driven; makes me cry..

and reminds me of kirsty mccoll who died pushing her kids out of the way of a speedboat on holiday in (mexico?) several years ago. a totally avoidable accident caused by a careless driver who got off with a ridiculous slap on the wrist fine...i always wonder how those kids coped...

there are too many but lately an awful lot of people seem to be "checking out"...perhaps they are super sensitive to the turbulent vibes all round us presently.

It`s an awful tragedy.
I heard it on the news today, first thing when I awoke, and it really shocked me.
May she rest in peace and may her family find a way to *somehow* cope.

(I know that this is probably impossible. I still wish her family that they find a way.
But yet, I know the kids will always miss their mother.
My own mum`s mother died when my mum was 17 years old, and my mum is still missing her. )

Katatonic,

"there are too many but lately an awful lot of people seem to be "checking out"...perhaps they are super sensitive to the turbulent vibes all round us presently."

I also thought about that. This seems to be a time of transition and choices.

There are not only those accidental deaths, and there have been really a lot, but it also seems like the best and the worst is being activated in us.
Just think of all the awful things that have happened, for example the shooting(s) in schools and families or that yearlong abuse of that Austrian criminal.

It really seems that this is a time where you have to choose sides: Are you with the good guys? Or with the bad ones? (to use a bit black-and-white paint here).

yes i find it harder and harder not to get drawn into the most useless arguments! but i don't think it is necessary to check out in order to transcend the energy. at least i am working on that...but i believe some souls are not interested in dealing.

my great aunt, born in 1900, announced in 1985 that she had "seen the best this civilization has to offer" and she didn't feel like sticking around any more. within 3 months she suffered a massive stroke, and after 2 weeks in a hospital bed, duly checked out. of course this is fairly normal amongst my irish female relatives, my own mother did much the same, though HER beef was with constant physical pain.

Lara it does seem that way but I don't see how anyone could get away with doing something like that to be honest, she has been so public about it.

because it has to be a publicity stunt OR maybe she's dying of something else (poor love).

All l know is, it's not cancer because cancer patients lose weight dramatically and they look like they are dying. she has plump cheeks, fresh rosy face and she's still quite large.

I just don't get it. It does give Royal Marsden a lot of publicity too though... would be pretty sick if she didn't have cancer.

Maybe she has some other problem? Doesn't add up does it.
