HSC, I love how a simple quote can get you thinking and bring about amazing changes within.. there are some beautiful, meaningful ones that become firmly lodged in your heart & you never forget.. There are some amazing ones I feel that way about, by Kahlil Gibran, Pablo Neruda, Tagore, Kipling.. too many to count, but gosh how I do love them..Topshelf, I LOVE Kahlil Gibran's work!!, and I used to have Eleanor Roosevelt's quote in my signature before! - wait, perhaps it was another one, but all the same.. I hope you're feeling better, sunshine I took the liberty of shrinking your last post image so it wouldn't activate the horizontal scroll bar and make it difficult to read these wonderful quotes -- you can replace it with this one if you like..... http://i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo335/Azalaksh/hope3_edited-1.jpg IP: Logged |

Quotes from CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD, Book I:"Nothing occurs in your life ---nothing---which is not first a thought. Thoughts are like magnets, drawing effects to you." "You are wont to rush to judgment, to call a thing "wrong" or "bad" or "not enough," rather than to bless what you do not choose." "You do not have a clear focus; you are not really sure what is true for you. And the universe is just a big Xerox machine. It simply produces multiple copies of your thoughts. Now there is only one way to change all that. You have to change your thought about it." "Nothing stays the same, nothing remains static. Which way a thing changes depends on you." "I Am the still small voice within which knows which way to turn, which path to take, which answer to give, which action to implement, which word to say - which reality to create if you truly seek communion and unity with Me." "Begin by being still. Quiet the outer world, so that the inner world might bring you sight." "There is nothing you can`t have if you choose it. Even before you ask, I will have given it to you." "You are in a partnership with God. We share an eternal covenant. My promise to you is to always give you what you ask. Your promise is to ask." "No prayer - and a prayer is nothing more than a fervent statement of what is so - goes unanswered." IP: Logged |

Quotes from CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD BOOK II:p.10: But so far that's how you've decided to live your Life. You keep changing your mind. Remember, life is an ongoing process of creation. You are creating your reality every minute. The decision you make today is often not the choice you make tomorrow. Yet here is a secret of all Masters: keep choosing the same thing. Over and over until your will is made manifest in your reality. For some that could take years. For some, months. For others, weeks. For those approaching mastery, days, hours, or even minutes. For Masters, creation is instantaneous. p.11: Nothing is difficult for Me - but you might be making things very difficult for yourself (when you change your mind). Therefore, be of one mind and of single purpose about a thing. And don't take your mind off of it until you have produced it in reality. Keep focused. Stay centered. That is what is meant by being single-minded. If you choose something, choose it with all your might, with all your heart. Don't be faint-hearted. Keep going! Keep moving toward it. Be determined. p.12-13: (Why does it take so much time for me to create the reality I choose?) For a number of reasons. Because you do not believe you can have what you choose. Because you do not know what to choose. Because you keep trying to figure out what's "best" for you. Because you want guarantees ahead of time that all your choices will be "good". And because you keep changing your mind! ... When you spend your time trying to figure out what's "best" for you, you are doing just that: spending your time. Better to save your time than to spend it wastefully. It is a great time-saver to be out of your mind. Decisions are reached quickly, choices are activated rapidly, because your soul creates out of present experience only, without review, analysis, and criticism of past encounters. p.14: The soul understands what the mind cannot conceive... (How do I listen to my soul? How do i know what i'm hearing?) The soul speaks to you in feelings. Listen to your feelings. Follow your feelings. Honor your feelings. IP: Logged |

“Love is the only reality and it is not a mere sentiment. It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation.” - Rabindranath Tagore“Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless in facing them. Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but for the heart to conquer it. Let me not look for allies in life's battlefield but to my own strength. Let me not cave in.” - Rabindranath Tagore "Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars." - Kahlil Gibran "Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens." - Kahlil Gibran IP: Logged |

Happy New Year, knowflakes.. Time to renew hope.. Come to the edge. We might fall. Come to the edge. It's too high! Come to the edge! And they came, and he pushed, and they flew. -- Christopher Logue Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil. -- James Allen Even if I don't reach all my goals, I've gone higher than I would have if I hadn't set any. -- Danielle Fotopoulis God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. -- Reinhold Niebuhr I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again. -- Stephen Grellet If one advances confidently in the direction of one's dreams, and endeavors to live the life which one has imagined, one will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. -- Henry David Thoreau Those who cherish a beautiful vision, a lofty ideal in their hearts, will one day realize it. -- James Allen Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. -- Mark Twain Sunshine IP: Logged |
