I bet koi is really a closet Van Halen fan. I can see the secret door in the closet, hiding all the hot pink spandex and long and spikey blonde wigs.Oh, my! Is it getting hot in here? koi's song = Hot For Teacher, by Van Halen! Perfect. IP: Logged |

I was gonna suggest "Soul Man" for myself, lol. http://www.lyricsfreak.com/b/blues+brothers/soul+man_20020749.html But I'll defer to AG's judgement on this one:
Tongue split In the night I woke up in blood Red sheets Wrapped tight Dreamt I was drowning in mud Now there's a beast in my mouth It's out of control Beats with will of it's own Broken my teeth withdraw my gums I think that it's taken control Spits out your emotion Left a deep impression Expression Expression, makes me feel more expression Life changed That night As rip chord took command Spit balls All the abuse Were more than friends could stand Now I don't think before I speak I open my mouth to see What comes out A whisper or a shout Some sanity or a scream Spits out raw emotion Looking for a deeper expression Expression Expression Expression Expression, makes me feel more... expression
That be me says it all That be me has it all Expression Expression IP: Logged |

OMG - I've got to be one of the biggest Stevie fans!!! I can't get enough of that blues guitar. Makes me want to rip open a bottle of Fosters and potter around the garage.I'll have to check out Van Halen - dare I say, I don't really know him. But I do like the idea of spandex (I'm a closet admirer/singer of The Carpenters ) IP: Logged |

another one of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpsTRbJKoa0 Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes By: Jimmy Buffett 1977 I took off for a weekend last month Just to try and recall the whole year All of the faces and all of the places Wonderin' where they all disappeared I didn't ponder the question too long I was hungry and went out for a bite Ran into a chum with a bottle of rum And we wound up drinkin all night Chorus: It's these changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes Nothing remains quite the same With all of our running and all of our cunning If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane Reading departure signs in some big airport Reminds me of the places I've been Visions of good times that brought so much pleasure Makes me want to go back again If it suddenly ended tomorrow I could somehow adjust to the fall Good times and riches and son of a bitches I've seen more than I can recall Chorus: These changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes Nothing remains quite the same Through all of the islands and all of the highlands If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane I think about Paris when I'm high on red wine I wish I could jump on a plane So many nights I just dream of the ocean God I wish I was sailin' again Oh, yesterday's over my shoulder So I can't look back for too long There's just too much to see waiting in front of me And I know that I just can't go wrong Chorus: With these changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes Nothing remains quite the same With all of my running and all of my cunning If I couldn't laugh I just would go insane If we couldn't laugh we just would go insane If we weren't all crazy we would go insane IP: Logged |

I never heard whether BM liked my song choice. Not only does it have Moon in the title, but it's a classic, and it references a literary work all of which I'm hoping are good things.IP: Logged |

Now, having said that, I guess I should say something about Spunk's pick for me.
I was half in mind - I was half in need, And as the rain came down - I dropped to my knees and prayed I said "oh Heavenly thing - please cleanse my soul, I've seen all on offer and I'm not impressed at all". I was halfway home - I was half insane, And every shop window I looked in just looked the same I said send me a sign to save my life 'Cause at this moment in time there is nothing certain in these day's of mineY'see it's a frightening thing when it dawns upon you That I know as much as the day I was born And though I wasn't asked (I might as well stay) And promise myself each and every day - that - When you're knocked on your back - an' your life's a flop and when you're down on the bottom there's nothing else but to shout to the top - shout!
The lyrics are positive, and it's an 80's tune. I probably used to dance like that at some point (I remember distinctly being compared to Rick Astley in my dancing in Junior High). So it's overall not bad.IP: Logged |

Pocahontas - Colors Of The Wind LyricsYou think I'm an ignorant savage And you've been so many places I guess it must be so But still I cannot see If the savage one is me How can there be so much that you don't know? You don't know ... You think you own whatever land you land on The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim But I know every rock and tree and creature Has a life, has a spirit, has a name You think the only people who are people Are the people who look and think like you But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger You'll learn things you never knew you never knew Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned? Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest Come taste the sunsweet berries of the Earth Come roll in all the riches all around you And for once, never wonder what they're worth The rainstorm and the river are my brothers The heron and the otter are my friends And we are all connected to each other In a circle, in a hoop that never ends How high will the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon For whether we are white or copper skinned We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains We need to paint with all the colors of the wind You can own the Earth and still All you'll own is Earth until You can paint with all the colors of the wind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddKhhqlzs3U&feature=PlayList&p=8FAE7CB10FB6ACC 3&index=0&playnext=1 IP: Logged |

Look for the bare necessities The simple bare necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the bare necessities Old Mother Nature's recipes That brings the bare necessities of lifeWherever I wander, wherever I roam I couldn't be fonder of my big home The bees are buzzin' in the tree To make some honey just for me When you look under the rocks and plants And take a glance at the fancy ants Then maybe try a few The bare necessities of life will come to you They'll come to you! Look for the bare necessities The simple bare necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the bare necessities That's why a bear can rest at ease With just the bare necessities of life Now when you pick a pawpaw Or a prickly pear And you prick a raw paw Next time beware Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw When you pick a pear Try to use the claw But you don't need to use the claw When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw Have I given you a clue? The bare necessities of life will come to you They'll come to you! So just try and relax, yeah cool it Fall apart in my backyard 'Cause let me tell you something little britches If you act like that bee acts, uh uh You're working too hard And don't spend your time lookin' around For something you want that can't be found When you find out you can live without it And go along not thinkin' about it I'll tell you something true The bare necessities of life will come to you Look for the bare necessities The simple bare necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the bare necessities That's why a bear can rest at ease With just the bare necessities of life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Mtwrfhb6-Q IP: Logged |

Twas Brillig and the slithy Toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe, All mimsy were the borogoves And the momeraths outgrabe.Beware the Jabberwock, my son, The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jub-jub bird and shun The frumious Bandersnatch! He took his vorpal sword in hand, Long time the maxnome foe he sought, So rested he by the Tum Tum Tree And stood a while in thought. And then in uffish thought he stood The Jabberwock with eyes of flame Came whiffling thru the tulgey wood And burbled as it came! One two one two, and thru and thru the vorpal blade went snicker snak! He left it dead and with its head he went galumphing back. "And hast thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms! My beamish boy! Oh frabjous day! Callooh, Callay!" He chortled in his joy. Twas brillig and the slithy Toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe, All mimsy were the borogoves And the momeraths outgrabe. "oh, you cant help that here, we're all mad. im mad, your mad." Hehe hahahaha XD..yeah I found the Alice in Wonderland Cheshire Cat song...Imma dork.. IP: Logged |

Berthe: She climbs a tree and scrapes her knee; her dress has got a tear Sophia: She waltzes on her way to mass and whistles on the stairs Berthe: And underneath her wimple she has curlers in her hair Catherine: I've even heard her singing in the abbey Agatha: She's always late for chapel Sophia: But her penitence is real Berthe: She's always late for everything! Catherine: Except for every meal Berthe: I hate to have to say it, but I very firmly feel All four: Maria's not an asset to the abbey Margaretta: I'd like to say a word in her behalf R. Mother: Then say it Sister Margaretta Margaretta: Maria makes me laugh! R. Mother: How do you solve a problem like Maria How do you catch a cloud and pin it down Margaretta: How do you find the word that means Maria Catherine: A flibbertigibbet Sophia: A willow the wisp Berthe: A clown R. Mother: Many a thing you know you'd like to tell her Many a thing she ought to understand Berthe: But how do you make her stay and listen to all you say R. Mother: How do you keep a wave upon the sand Margaretta: How do you solve a problem like Maria R. Mother: How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand Sophia: When I'm with her I'm confused, out of focus and bemused, and I never know exactly where I am... Agatha: Unpredictable as weather Catherine: She is flightly as a feather Margaretta: She's a darling Berthe: She's a demon Margaretta: She's a lamb Sophia: She'd out pester any pest; drive a hornet from it's nest Agatha: She could throw a whirling dervish out of whirl Margaretta: She is gentle; she is wild Catherine: She's a riddle; she's a child Berthe: She's a headache Margaretta: She's an angel R. Mother: She's a girl... All: How do you solve a problem like Maria How do you catch a cloud and pin it down How do you find the word that means Maria Catherine: A flibbertigibbet Margaretta & Sophia: A willow the wisp Berthe: A clown All: Many a thing you know you'd like to tell her Many a thing she ought to understand R. Mother: But how do you make her stay Berthe: And listen to all you say Margaretta: How do you keep a wave upon the sand All: Oh how do you solve a problem like Maria... Here's my dedication to the Godzala crew:Joan Armatrading - Willow I may not be your best But you know good ones Don't come by the score If you've got something missing I'll help you look You can be sure And if you want to be alone Or someone to share a laugh Whatever you want to do All you got to do is ask Thunder Don't go under the sheets Lightning Under a tree In the rain and snow I'll be your fireside Come running to me When things get out of hand Running to me When it's more than you can stand I said I'm strong Straight Willing To be a shelter In a storm Your willow Oh willow When the sun is out A fight with your best girl Prettiest thing you ever saw You know I'll listen Try to get a message to her And if it's money you want Or trouble halved Whatever you want me to do All you got to do is ask I said I'm strong Straight Willing To be a shelter In a storm Your willow Oh willow When the sun is out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TjIIv4F1fw IP: Logged |
