I don't think anyone can get around it. But I've seen people waste their lives in anticipation of it or in fear of it and, personally, I don't want to live like that.IP: Logged |

Why start threads to get around it, then?
Is that better than talking about it openly? It is a part of our lives, whether or not we discuss it. "What we are unconscious of happens to us as fate." ~ C.G. Jung I think it can help us to put life in perspective. And prepare for any number of possibilities. "To philosophize is to prepare oneself to die." ~ Cicero IP: Logged |

I just want you to know that...When you see "suicide" threads.. I see "Godzala" threads... Imagine if you lived in a world where.. Nevermind. IP: Logged |

Hey PA - Gee, the world's gone mad!!! Why is it that I seem to be the only sane person living in this city?? How's the weather and sanity your way? I might have to pitch a tent in your backyard!!! HSC - Will read your reply a little later tonight - am a little tired - the world around me is mad - and I, as the only sane person around, am all burned out keeping the insanity at bay! IP: Logged |

Do you have to keep it at bay? All of it?You know, we are not so different. Me and PA. Me and you. Sometimes I throw my weight all over this site, and I can't always say it is for the noblest reasons. And sometimes I feel like the only sane one. Trying to keep the insanity at bay. I know. I do. I think. Maybe I don't. Okay. Enough sanity for now, lol. Time for some mindless somethingorother. I need to sleep, too. IP: Logged |

HSCI don't think you and I are that much different. We probably go about things in different ways, but I don't think that our needs or desires are far removed from one another. They're expressed differently. You rebel from having your initial suicide thread locked by Randall by starting more suicide themed threads. I react to that by starting more Godzala threads and meaningless threads. We're not so different. It's that Aquarius Moon with that angel on one shoulder and that devil on the other. Always keen to test things - see how far we can push those barriers. See how far we can push others. See how far we can make others extend their own limits. But it can be fun. Tell me that your rebellious nature and mentality doesn't amuse you. Tell me that you don't enjoy stirring the pot and then changing argument out of nowhere, either out of self-defence or self-preservation, or even at times, just because you can. IP: Logged |

Absolutely!!!! In my job, I have no choice!!!! Sanity, a clear mind, a positive outlook, a character that's steadfast in an envirnoment full of challenges is a must. (Although I do admit, I got real angry at work one month ago which took everyone by surprise!! But that's what happens when someone insults one's passion, ie. work - lol. I should be ashamed. I don't recall Gandhi losing it, but then again, Jesus did) IP: Logged |

HSCI was thinking about what you said about being drawn to the underworld. And maybe you're just drawn to "spirit" - spiritual things - as opposed to "dark" or "underworld" things. Some ways of thinking in our world and society find it hard to distinguish between the two, or even unable to actually seperate them. So maybe you're just drawn to spirit. I can definitely relate to that. Though, I can't say I'm drawn to any dark side or anything like that because I don't really believe in it. IP: Logged |

I think you have! I just left the iron on while doing a night-club move across the kitchen floor.Mind you, Kershaw is a fantastic distraction, even if it means having a boat shape burned into my work pants. IP: Logged |

I say, if you're going down the 80's men-with-mullets route, get some Howard Jones on there as well. Heck Koi, just get a mullet yourself kid, then nobody will look at the submarine burned on your arse! IP: Logged |

Ugh. I hate the end of the financial year in work. It sucks. My boss just gave me her expenses to do - she hasn't done them since last August! I'm on December and she's already on nearly £1,000. Joy. Each receipt is for like one coffee and a croissant. You can imagine how many receipts there are. I hate figures, numbers, sums. What the hell am I doing working with them all day every day? It's frigging unbelievable to me. I have numbers dyslexia, no wonder I feel like someone's stabbed me in the forehead with a fork. WHAT AM I DOING HERE??????????!!!!!!!!!!! ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! What are the aspects/placements for DELIBERATELY screwing up you own work life? Huh? Huh?!!! IP: Logged |

I don't think she did. Nor do I think anyone should feel compelled to address something they'd rather not. Everything in it's own time... or not at all even. IP: Logged |
