I'm sorry to hear that, hon. I really enjoy your presence. But it's ultimately your choice. IP: Logged |

cheshirekat, I understand your choice.

You don't have to worry about me, though, cheshire.I feel like I have been reborn from the ashes, its amazing. I feel like I finally believe in myself. I can finally speak my truth without stooping. I dont think you can sum up LL in 3 months, but if you think youve got us all figured out, good for you, and good luck on your spirituality journey. IP: Logged |

cheshirekat I wish you would not leave. As writesomething said: quote: I dont think you can sum up LL in 3 months
Some of what you see as negative or biased goes back years, and even near a decade. You cannot understand or sum folks up here...especially ones who have been here 4 or more years....and many who have posted under many different names. What biased favoritism are you referring to? I wonder if you have ever gone through old posts yet and have a complete picture or are you just going on what you have seen posted in just the couple of months you have been here?IP: Logged |

I thought that when I first joined and then I found that you have to make the effort and speak to different people. You click with some people, you don't with others. No different to day-to-day life. You make friends, you hang out with them. Expecting to receive positive feedback or agreeance to your posts every time isn't going to work for anyone. You discuss, you agree or agree to disagree. You win some, you lose some and then you die another day. There's good people here and a broad range of experience, perspectives, insights and personalities.IP: Logged |

Good points, LEXX.Cheshirekat, I hope you could return and read our posts. If you need a time off from LL, maybe that's what you need now. But it's true, you don't figure out the people on a particular site within a couple of months. There are many pearls of wisdom here on this website. If you could take time to go through some of the old threads you might find hidden treasure that delights you. Wishing you all the best with your spiritual path D IP: Logged |

I am going to say it like this. I didn't know HSC did recreational drugs or had a depression problem until people brought it up.To me it's never ok to bring up someone's skeletons or their past in an argument or to make a point but people did, they dug up his skeletons and tried to break him down. All he did was defend himself, sure he twist words and rattle people's cages but that doesn't give anyone the right to insult his integrity, to make fun of his loneliness and heartache, and to call his mental illness insanity. There are several people on LL who share their deep emotional problems, loss, sorrow, heartache and it's never used against them until someone doesn't agree with what someone says and then it's used against them, if their not in the LL favors. When someone is willing to be open and share their vulnerability to a person..I don't care if it's online or in the world, you never ever use that against them. I don't want to post here because I can't be open here anymore, if someone disagrees with me and thinks I am full of sh!t, I am ok with that but if someone disagrees with me and starts to dig up my skeletons to use against me. I will blow, it will be a dark day in wonderland. Thats just how I feel.. Don't get me wrong this place is wonderful and I've learned alot and theres amazing people here but I don't want my skeletons used against me though. I am not that strong or stable emotionally to see someone ridicule my vulnerabilities. IP: Logged |

I don't think I twist words, tho.I just unlock their combinations. Even my irony and sarcasm are sincere. I don't even have an incentive to distort. I have a healthy command of reason.

cheshirekat Sigh... ...beware who you trust and or believe. And, others did not bring anything up that was not already or repeatedly brought up by HSC many many many times. (And will most likely be brought up again by him) None of it is a secret here at LL. Odd that you missed that. Take care.

MyVirgoMask Not intuition MVM.... Personal experience.... I have been at the receiving end of HSC's ugly side stick, too many times. So have many others. He is far from an innocent abused little boy here at LL.

cheshirekat - I'm not entirely sure what has brought this to a head for you. The reason why I'm not sure, is that I have chosen not to read some threads. I can usually tell straight away whether a thread is provocative. From that point, I choose to protect myself and not get involved. I have been tempted to sit down this weekend and read every post of some knowflakes in an effort to get to know them. But my heart and head say "Don't do it". I really don't have the energy or time to get in deep with many knowflakes. I seem to get to know them little by little. There are many here I enjoy very much!!! But even then, I don't have the time to write something to each of them. i just think of them and it gives me a warm fuzzy. Lindaland is a little like playing squash with 2 racquets and 3 balls. There is information and opinion flying in all directions. Some hit the ball harder than others. Why not hang around. It'll be a shame to lose your company. I haven't got to know you very well yet. We're a community. Many of us make connections somewhere. Lindaland fills an empty space for me. I can't say I always love what I read, but what a library of information and personalities that fill this place! Keep coming back and see where Gravity pulls you. Just like anywhere, relationships here grow, change and thrive. Does a pretty please with a cherry on top help? IP: Logged |

LEXX, I totally agree. I tried to skip around the glaringly obvious but Chesire, hon...I don't know how you're missing what's going on. All those things you point out that have been done to the person you named, he has done to them and others TENFOLD. You'd think after how many years the person would ditch the delusions grandeur and stop using LL as their personal blog, but this is like deja vu all over again. Some people just never learn.
I don't think you're seeing the bigger scope here, this doesn't usually happen like this as long as the argument starter fights FAIR which was certainly not the case in that thread. IP: Logged |

I think her point was that, just because someone brings it up themselves, does not give you license to throw it in their face.
People should be admired, not punished, for showing vulnerability. If you can argue with their logic, why not argue with their logic? To exploit their personal admissions in order to "make your point" is a lazy, rude, and dishonest way of conducting an argument. Odd that you missed that.

My experiences with HSC are only recent. But from our interactions, my observation is that HSC is his own worst enemy. I don't think that makes him any different to anyone else. And I think everyone is guilty of all those things. Many people dredge up posts made by others in order to show them contradicting themselves. I don't think anyone is immune there. There's a lot of common ground. LL is a litle like Big Brother and that in a confined space, you start to develop certain dynamics and at some stage someone will grate on you. Understanding and compassion shouldn't just fly out the window. If you look (sometimes hard enough) you'll find common ground with everyone. IP: Logged |

Hi Dulce,I think you missed the scene last night. I was being calm and rational. Certainly, using sarcasm and irony to make my points, but, refusing to stoop to issuing personal insults and attacks. 26Taurus and writesomething were meeting this with a stream of insults (words like "crazy", "insane", "b!tch", little boy", and "pansy"), and no real logic to speak of. The more I controlled my temper and reasoned with them, the more unrestrained and cruel they became. These are not just empty, biased claims, Dulce. This is all right there on the thread. Plain as day. No difference of opinion here. Just the facts, ma'am.
