Actually, the first description in the dictionary is the 'preferred' meaning, then the 2nd description is the 2nd meaning. In my dictionary "monstrous" meanings, in order, are:

1. like a monster

2. abnormally formed

3. huge

4. outrageously wrong or absurd

If I buy e.g. a cake I wonder where the eggs came from (battery farm).

Where's the sugar from? (some mad cane sugar plantation using kids as labour)

Where's the cream from? (some cow had its calf taken away so we could use the milk and was mooing in distress for 3 weeks)

Where's the flour from? (some monoculture farm in the third world owned by a multinational that exports the wheat meaning that the country is not self-sufficient in food and is in debt up to their eyeballs and where the birds have died off because there are no insects due to pesticides).

It's a nightmare. Just a simple cake.

What to do about it? Enjoy my cake I guess and realise that I'm lucky to have the cake at all.

For instance, Americans could refuse to pay their taxes because President Teleprompter is sending $900,000,000 to the terrorist group Hamas which will be used for salaries for terrorists and missiles to fire into Israel. Each firing of an unguided missile at civilian population centers is a separate war crime under international law.

Americans could also stop funding 25% of United Nations operations and demand the US withdraw from the United Nations. The United Nations which stood idly by while almost 1,000,000 Rwandan citizens were systematically slaughtered while UN Peace Keeping forces were in the area supposedly there to prevent that very act...under the command of Kofi Annan. For this villiany, Kofi Annan was promoted to Sec General of the United Nations.

And the UN also:

Contributed to the systematic oppression/repression, starvation, denial of medical services and medicine to Iraqi citizens under the UN Oil For Food Program...while at the very same time high UN officials were taking bribes from Saddam Hussein and the UN itself ripped off more than $1,500,000,000 in Oil For Food money and approved the selling of food not fit to eat along with watered down and expired date medicines.

And that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of UN corruption, outright villiany and gross incompetence.

Tax is forced from people. People do not have a choice about paying taxes. We are not buying 'Choice' with taxes.

Spiritual laws also protect people from their own lack of knowledge. If I didn't know that eating a cake, was killing someone, I am innocent. If I knew eating a cake, not made by 'green' methods, was killing someone, I would less likely choose to eat the cake.
