You know the ones - who will provoke, then watch the rescuers jump in, then they will thank the rescuers with compliments, while smirking at the others that present a differing perspective.

Congratulations to the Manipulators, for playing a cunning, smoke-screen game - using people's hearts and good nature's for their own psychological warfare.

On the positive side, there are many knowflakes with eyes wide open to these antics. They gallantly offered many opportunities to sow the seeds of reason, to balance perspective, to pull in the smirky evaders and keep the keel of Lindaland balanced and composed.

That's why we must be as wise as a serpent, and harmless as doves, so that we are not sheep to the slaughter.

When she was constantly insulting me and trying to manipulate me in my threads, where were you guys?? I dont believe her sincereness!

Yes, maybe Lara does have to learn to temper her responses too, I think someone already broached this with Lara (23?) and she was amenable to the fact that she was sometimes snarky, but that's Lara's stuff and you're not exactly going to commend yourself as a model of good behaviour by starting a childish thread like that, you see? Not the way to go. I dunno what is the way to go. Step away from the monitor for a bit I guess.

People like some people more than others.
I cannot say anything to that.
But, I think we should not disregard erroneous actions of these people just because we like them more than others. "l don't wish to be taunted and ridiculed like a puppet in a show." She musnt do this to others too.

Lara, I have no problem with you personally. I don't care much for your tone at times, because you have the distinct tendency to pontificate and at times alienate others with your tone, but I also know that you have a good heart
And that counts for a lot in my book.
My world is big enough to contain differences of opinion, taste, lifestyle, etc.. I do hope yours is as well. Not all of us get along, but I like to think we try and have a lot to learn from each other. And I do care about you as a person, so I hope you don't go.....I do think you have a lot to share and have a lot of life experiences. We might not always agree, but I should think that keeps life interesting and keeps us on our toes. If you do, however, decide to leave, I wish you all the best on your journey.

PA, you know I love you. As I said before, it's having people like you around during such circumstances that makes it worthwhile to stay. You restore the balance. I know it's not your job, but just your presence alone makes it worthwhile because you're one of the people I truly enjoy talking to.

That was also the impression that I had of Lara before we had the opportunity to speak briefly. I think it is a spiritual gift that songwriter gave to her so she could see the first (and second and third) impression she leaves with others when they read her responses on threads (with those repeated themes) before they have a chance to interact with her. I also see how those behaviors could seem exaggerated and painful to someone on the receiving end of her sarcasm or "playfulness" or taunts, as I saw them.

The first couple things Lara said to me yesterday, I wasn't sure if I should trust due to my impression of the many words of hers I have read on this site. I believed when we were talking that she was being sincere and finally had a glimpse into why others might enjoy her company... but up until that point my impression was exactly like songwriter's.

Additionally, I think the thread songwriter just shared (from his/her hurtful interaction with Lara the day before and the day when he/she wrote the song) illustrates one of the many times when Lara's behavior was hurtful to others and it is hypocritical to hold songwriter responsible for his/her hurtful behavior and not hold Lara responsible for hers. But then, I see both sides.

I read the "Lara's Song" thread when it was first posted and in tact, without the deletes, and saw Lara smile and joke with songwriter and then in her second post ask songwriter if he/she would add a line that said she was surrounded by idiots, because Lara was fighting and/or disagreeing with someone at the time on the meat/horrendous thread at the same time.

since "snarky" behavior has been given the green light, I'll be holding the bets on if those who claim they are done here are actually done. A million dollars on the: "Please, you'll be back, and if you make it a week we'll be proud of you... and btw hey are you having a nice day because you are probably reading this right now." position.
