I think love is a matter of the mind as equal to the heart, because if you hold some ideal inside your head, then if something happens that doesn't match that, it can deflate the feelings.IP: Logged |

I donīt think it was meant like this.I rather think it was meant in the sense that you can`t "think" yourself into love, and that you would lie to yourself if you tried to "think yourself out of love". Of course the mind plays an important role. I would never be able to feel love for someone, if he doesn`t touch my mind. IP: Logged |

Damn.....We seem to have been bombarded with a Mills & Boon entity. PA If I wanted to fondle the "gerard Butler 2000" in my closet, can that be considered romance? IP: Logged |

Love encompasses every part of you - in it's truest expression - heart, mind and body. All equal. You can't negate any aspect. There is imbalance. Each needs the other to process the entire experience. You can control what you feel - sometimes because you have to. IP: Logged |

I don't believe that the GB2000 ever came out of the closet, Spanky. IP: Logged |

I think you can - in some way - out of obligation or whatever, convince yourself. Or, sometimes you don't know what you were experiencing wasn't really love until later when you really do have it. IP: Logged |

PA, "Love encompasses every part of you - in it's truest expression - heart, mind and body. All equal. You can't negate any aspect. There is imbalance. Each needs the other to process the entire experience." Yes. Totally agreed. Perfectly said.
"You can control what you feel - sometimes because you have to." No, you can`t control what you feel - but you can control what you do and if you act on your feelings, because sometimes you have to. But that doesn`t mean t he feelings aren`t there anymore, you just can decide to deny them hoping they will fade. Sometimes they do, sometimes they donīt. Sometimes they do for a certain time, only to hurl you back to square one again.
But in the end it IS your choice. Do you want to be happy? There are so many feelings living inside a person, some only existing as a "potential" - probably we have to choose in that regard. But the feelings may still be there. Hey, that is why films like Doctor Zhivago or Gone with the wind or Romeo and Juliet work so well. We all love tragic romances, unless we are really affected by them. Goodbye. IP: Logged |
