aah yes we tend to forget that crime is not entirely a mexican or muslim import...our homegrown brand is pretty lethal. and detroit was a ghost/gangtown 28 years ago when i last passed through...without a mexican in sight!(or on site)IP: Logged |

I plan on this winter being my last and hope to move south within 6 months to a year. Southwest or east I'm not sure, but I'm definately moving and cant wait to start over somewhere brand new. I'm starting to research some areas because I really dont know where I want to move yet, but know that I'd like to leave where I am now and move somewhere with less seasons lol. Even though in many, many ways I love it here and will miss it i'm sure. For a long time now, I know I've wanted to make a big move once and for all. It was suggested to be by someone the other day too. Or brought up as something to consider. And I have already, a lot. So anyway, where in the southern areas of the country have people here lived? What areas do you like and why? IP: Logged |

Here we go! and it's not on the most dangerous cities listAustin, Texas If you're a free spirit, music junkie, or barbecue lover—or if you simply have what it takes to "keep Austin weird"—Texas's state capital is for you. Considered ground zero for live music, this city of 716,000 residents is home to legions of musicians and nearly 200 performance venues. In addition, Austin hosts the always popular South by Southwest festival. Since its inception in 1987, the event has mushroomed from a local gathering to a 1,800-band, 80-stage extravaganza of music, filmmaking, and interactive activities featuring performers from all over the world. Austin is also a high-tech hub, with companies like Dell and IBM, which employ thousands of residents IP: Logged |

Dee, thanks. That looks like a great town. Yeah, there are many up this way where I'd love to live too. Wouldnt it be nice to have a place in the south to get away and live during the winter months up here and vice versa? Arizona has always attracted me and I've been looking at some smaller towns out there. Might have to go take a visit sometime this winter. What I'd really love is a camper van. That would solve all problems. IP: Logged |
