Hi Chandra~Yes, I live in *Las Vegas* and my first pointer is to wait till summer is OVER! (about October) It is hellfire hot, and this coming from a native! Although quite pricey - about $100/per - I highly recommend you try to see *O* or *Mystere* - AWESOME!!! I have seen *O* twice, and though my tickets were a gift, after seeing the show I felt it would have been worth every penny if I had paid for it -WOW! I haven't seen *Mystere* but it is produced by the same people and I have heard the same - it's a *must see*. I haven't seen it, but I hear *Blue Man Group* is great too if you are into that If you want to gamble at tables or play slot machines go *downtown* - cheaper minimums, and more *liberal* slot pay-offs. The *Fremont Experience* is downtown as well and way cool If you like roller coaster rides there are quite a few different ones but I have it on good authority the coaster at the Sahara is the *best* and least *painful* physically The Rio is one of the most popular *night spots* for tourists and locals alike if you enjoy music and/or dancing. *See* the Belagio Hotel.. Although the casino doesn't have the trade mark chandeliers, which I happen to Love, I think the rest of it is amazingly beautiful (see the blown glass flowers on the ceiling in the reception area!) DO NOT venture away alone from the strip, or Fremont downtown (especially) unless you are accompanied by large, strong protection - crime is awful If you like to shop, the new Alladin Hotel has a great mall... If you do have a package thing that offers your pick of some hotels, let me know what they are and I'll give you the rundown so you can pick the best one (all Steve Winn properties are *immaculate*) Finally, if you want to swin and/or sun bathe - be EXTREMELY careful... it's sooooooo hot and you can burn in just minutes! I would love to meet you while you are here! ~Princess ------------------ "To reMember One's consciousness One must reMember their conscience." ~ K.L. Morgan IP: Logged |

LA FAYETTE RON HUBBARD BORN FATED TO BE A BARD, HE LATER FELT A NEED TO ALTER AN OLD TRUTH.
HE FOUND A THEORY TO FREE ONE OF A LONE AND HARD EARLY FATE - YET, HE FALTERED. HE LET ANOTHER ALTER THE THEORY. ALONE, HE HAD A HEALTHY THEORY. YET HE FEARED TO DEBUT ALONE... THE OTHER ONE TOLD THE 'BARD' THAT TO BE FREE ONE HAD TO DONATE A LOT TO LEARN THE THEORY. THAT ONE (FOR A FEE) HAD TO DOLE OUT THE THEORY TO ANOTHER! TO LAY OUT A FEE TO BE FREE. THE 'BARD', FATED TO ALTER AN OLD TRUTH THAT ONE BE FREE, TOLD THE OTHER TO ORDER A FEE... THE NATURAL, HEALTHY THEORY !! ABORTED !! THE NOBEL TRUTH ON A 'DEATH BED'...THE 'BARD' LEFT ON A DRY ROAD... BOUND BY FATE. LO! A HARD DEBT THE 'BARD' FATED FOR! DEALT BY A 'TRUTH FEE'! OH BARD! THY 'ELF' DO THEE HURT... A THEORY TO FREE ONE OF AN EARLY FATE THE FEE DOTH DEFEAT! THEE HAD TO HEED THE OTHER...TO DENY THY REAL FATE. BY THY FEE, THEE HATH HURT A LOT. THE 'AUTHOR' ELF OF THEE HAD THY FEE FATE, NOT THE THEORY! TO HEED THE OTHER AND RE-ORDER THE FEE TO THE THEORY, THEE DE-FEATED THE THEORY. ANOTHER TO BE FATED TO TRY THE THEORY LATER - NOT THEE! THEE HATH A DEBT TO FREE THEE OF... THO THEE, O BARD, ARE A BETTER AUTHOR, THY FREE THEORY HERE TO BE ABORTED AND UTTERLY BUTTED OUT LATER ON DUE TO THE FEE! LATER, ANOTHER TRY! NOT THEE! THEE ART BORN LATER TO BE BOUND BY DEBT.. DO THE DEBT THAT THY 'ELF' BE FREE...OR FATE LAY ANOTHER HARDER DEBT ON THEE... :

HI PRINCESS, Thanks for the pointers. We'll probably go around Labour Day. Hopefully it will be a little cooler by then. I'm pretty excited. Never been to Vegas before. I'm taking a vacation in August, but I have to go to Ohio. I didn't realize crime was so bad there. Thanks for letting me know. I have to admit, I'm a little naive concerning these things. I'm not really going to Area 51 by myself. My friend just needed a little coaxing. Have you been there? Did you see any UFO's or anything unusual? Hey, what's the Stratosphere like? I heard there is a ride on it that you can go up and down the building on. I would love to meet you while I'm there! Chandra :smile:IP: Logged |

Chandra~The Stratusphere.. well... I have it on good authority it could topple at any minute, so I haven't stepped foot in the *hit hole I don't do roller coaster-thrill rides, and I don't know anyone that has done those rides But even if I did, I would NOT do them there ... You should feel perfectly safe in the area's of Las Vegas that are not immediately surrounding the Strip or Fremont Street (where natives live) which includes area 51. I think you should feel perfectly safe there if you are not afraid of the machine gun toting military LOL (I haven't been there nor will I as I have an allergy to *government* and it's a government instalation). Send me an email and I will give you my number... ~princess ------------------ "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." YIVY, WOW! I have chills from reading that LEXI. "Free for a Fee" (or clear, as the Scientologists put it), is basically Scientology's motto. Any knowledge Hubbard was given was sqaundered and used selfishly. I'm sure he is paying for it now. Chandra IP: Logged |

PRINCESS, I guess now I know shy the Stratosphere is so cheap! As for Area 51, I've always had an intense curiosity for anything that is kept secret of hidden by the government. We'll probably go there and see nothing, but I have to go just to say it did. If the military drives out with their guns to tell us to leave, all the better! (must be that darned Venus in Sag). I'll send you an e-mail. Chandra IP: Logged |

Yivy, I have been poring over your lexigrams for the past two hours. I truly need to express my deep, deep thanks to you for having the confidence to perform these MIRACLES! You boldly grab a word and RUN with it, not settling for anything less than the TRUTH! And that is why you are the Word Druid's Delight, Dahling. I love you, and I thank you! P.S. I have a friend who I showed the lexigram magic to. He also has the magic touch! (he's quite the dickens and the druids adore him!!)In fact, soon I'll get him to post his stuff, so you can see just how amazing it is that the lexigram phenomenon is really spreading! Soon, we'll ALL be singing lexis! IP: Logged |

Many years ago, when I had just become working age, I was trying to find a job. I had recently become very interested in "new age" learning. A scientology center in my city had a help wanted sign out, so the name sounded intriguing and I strolled in where I quickly felt like this was a strange cult like organization. If anyone wants to see what i'm talking about just give them an ask about employment and see what they have to say. But the main thing i would like to stress is that they tried to get me, a 15 year old, to sign a contract saying that I had to work for 35 hours a week for them for 3 years for free and then I would get paid really well. I stress the word contract. I feel that is really scary. There was something else really not right that i can't remember right now.IP: Logged |

I too wasn't sure what the appeal could be in scientology. Then I watched this scientologist on TV, explaining their view on Genesis. You know how they have the two creation stories in the bible? One says god created male and female, he created them both, and then the second story says Eve was made from Adam's rib and therefore Adam was her master and creator. Well, scientologists say the first story is 100% true. But in the second story, is an illusion. God has put Adam to sleep, and Eve being made from his rib was ALL A DREAM. Then they teach that the two stories are there to teach how when man falls under illusion he believes he can create life (from a rib) when in truth only god can create life. Then something about how we are created from gods energy, and are not created from human flesh. (rib) That's the jumping point where they say we are all energy and not of the flesh and therefore should heal with gods energy and not doctors. But I can totally understand the appeal of how they put men and women on equal standing, and say that god created woman equal to man. IP: Logged |
