Randall, I understand you get hurt when people talk bad about you and the site you've spent so much work building up, but, like you said yourself, we're grown up people coming here and can judge ourselves. I don't give a damn about what other people think about Lindaland. I like this place, and that's what matters. And I believe people are coming here for that reason, for a good place to discuss interesting matters with a lot of different people, not to gossip about others.
As for the Goodman books: I've read Star Signs and Sun Signs.

I think that wherever humans seek for Light, and explore the magical and mystical world of the unseen, that mention or rumours of any kind of negativity set off a lot of strong responses!

Everyone has a right to their own feelings, and interpretations, and to speak truth as they see it, but I have noticed in other new age or spiritual groups, as well as here, that when the word "negative" starts being used, people get defensive, or superstitious... maybe because such truth-seeking in the first place attracts such sensitive folks to begin with.

There are a few approaches one can take when one feels there is a problem affecting an environment... some walk away, some address it, some fight it, some pray to heal it... response is individual, and Hopeful felt it was time to move on.

Personally I was distressed for awhile at the way the Global Unity Forum was hijacked by politics and hot-headedness, but Randall stepped in, people calmed down, and I chose to explore other areas instead. As I'm still a new Knowflake, I'm exploring still, and I have very little expectations about how Lindaland should and should not be... we are humans who aspire to our own god-hood, our own upliftment, and flock to others who are seeking too, and our exposure to the teachings of Linda Goodman is part of that. We are bound to have cycles of change, and some of us will stay, some will go, and sometimes the disagreement with the way things are going is the catalyst for striking off in another direction-- the direction that the soul needs at that time.

Besides, isn't there the word "give" buried somewhere in the word "negative"?

Let's focus on the Light!

Read through this thread and just wanted to say something mainly to Randall.
I'm sure you must be helping people-as an example here is my view.
When I first found this site I was so excited and I was posting a lot and my first posts were a bit OTT and I was literally shouting at everyone as I'd got so used to people not understanding where I was coming from but as I spent more and more time on this site I realised that there were understanding people on here.I was so used to the people I knew and those around me not being open to some of the the things I said, now a whole group of people who understood about the meaning of numbers and words, and immortality!I dont even know where to begin,to be able to talk about body temples, spiralling, numbers I could go on.So the first effect of this site is:

I've calmed down a bit

The second effect is:

I now have confidence that there are others out there, now when I'm out on the highstreet or about-

I've got one eye open for some potential new recruits I can convert as well as looking out for others who are already aware of the same things I know.I cant tell you how it's opened up my world-so many times in the past things I'd said had just not even registered with people and I'd resigned myself to being the only person like me I knew.

Participating in this site is a good exercise for my brain and it focuses my mind.So many little things have happened to me because I've opened up more-just the other day I struck up a conversation in a bookshop with two young boys who were having a conversation about the age of Bilbo Baggins in JRR Tolkiens books, and how long a hobbit's lifetime was

just a few of the many other things that have happened:

starting to notice book titles

starting to do lexigrams again

I feel sure that you must be touching so many lives with this site Randall, well you seem to be quite open-minded about it realising that people might have to move on and their lifestyle doesnt allow them to be in constant contact with a computer.I'd say the very least you've done for people is what it's done for me,or they may of just been fascinated by our chatter and sneaked a little look at a few of those Linda Goodman bookspines in the new age section of their bookshop.

Just in case anyone notices I have taken my photos out of the album,I'm experimenting with how I feel about things like this,I dont feel like I'm being as friendly without a face for people to see,I might put them back in again,I'm seeing how things feel for me.

Trillian......in my opinion, when someone casts the first stone, it is indicative of some sort of a confrontation, whether fight, insult or argument. Hopeful was NOT casting any stones, merely stating a fact. Hopeful is my dearest friend and I really resent you making her farewell out to be something inflammatory!! If you weren't brand new to this site, you would know what an Angel she is and what a grand talent the Goddess has given her, and how unselfishly she gave to us.There comes a time for change in everyone's life and the choice is yours, as to whether you make the change or remain as is. We should herald her decision to make the change, give her our blessings and love, and quit speculating about the why's and wherefore's. Please.

I do not mean this post as a disrespect to you, I only want this forum to move onward and upward. Creativity and negativity seem to conflict in productivity, so let's produce some lexigrams.

Bright Blessings

I meant no disrespect to Hopeful.
I'm sorry you interpreted it that way, LaTeeDa, and that you resent me.
I was only expressing my interpretation of her post.
My apologies to you and your friend.

(I'm no lexi magician like many others here...just wanted to point out the positives that can be found in negative...consider it penance for inadvertantly hurting someone here with my loud-mouth Aries opinions! I'm feeling quite contrite...and hoping a positive can be found in this negative of mine.)

Trillian:First of all, I NEVER said I resented YOU personally.....you are reading words that are NOT there! Apology for Hopeful accepted, but I suggest you re-read what I wrote and realize that there was NOTHING personally directed at YOU, only at what you said.

Well, as are all things, it's a matter of interpretation. Language and semantics are funny things...as evidenced with lexigrams!
Once the words are out there, they're out of our control.

In any event, my apology was sincere, and I regret getting off on the wrong foot with you, I've read many of your posts and have found you have some interesting and valuable things to say, as do many here. My original post was not intended with disrepsect to YOU, HOPEFUL or anyone, which is why I deleted it. I don't usually self-censor, but sometimes my big Aries mouth speaks/fingers write too quickly. (Sun Mercury and Venus all in Aries)
Best Wishes to all.

Beginning anew sounds wonderful to me,La Tee Da, thank you for your graciousness...'nuff said on the subject!

I am no astrologer juniperb, just a gal who has taken some lessons and loves the subject...but my Venus is also in Aries...makes you a bit of a flirt, a little fickle too, maybe, and hard to please!
And I was just kiddin' 'bout my "witty repartee!" I knew it was 'cause I have a big mouth!

Thank you for the welcome, I was surprised to find this place, came upon it almost by accident (ahem...accidents never happen, do they??)...but was so grateful that I did. I think it's a wonderful forum, well cared for...and let's face it, it's often difficult to find friends with a shared interest in metaphysical subjets. At least that can be true here in the boonies where I live! I'm happy to be here, and hope to have an opportunity to know everyone much better. I've been quietly admiring everyone's work for a couple of weeks...and am looking forward to a great exchange of ideas.

The lexis here are true magic.
