My first Lexi w/o a computer, other the the one inside my skull  So if I did the lexi wrong, please, It is only due to old versions of software which I need to upgrade .

Very strange but there is something about Marshall Mathers that tells me in this life or the next life, whatever he chooses, he will become a kind of saint. Someone that will seriously devote his life to spirituality, very strange but I think it's true. Almost like Francis of Assisi...  He is very special.I have a feeling his next album will be highly political and a lot more subliminal for his fans that are getting older to figure out. If you listened to his last two songs on the radio you can feel his next move coming. He has the power to move people and he can make teenagers aware. Incidentally, there are many real rappers that came before him that tell the truth on many levels so if he tells the truth and people listen it would have to do with his race rather than the words coming out of his mouth. Unless of course, he makes the words special and noticible by an invisible essense that is is own personal vibe which is entirely possible and just as likely. I do agree that he is special though. And not because he is so succesful. There is something austere and something else about him.

Well, good question Silver, you're a sharp one aren't you  I thought about it after I wrote my reply since I obviously wrote it without thinking and asked myself the same question
I just got the feeling (as I said, I don't know much about him) that he's rebelling against insincerity of today's society and all that goes with that. But I think his cause is more a personal one, and I think personal causes are every bit as valid as all others, or maybe I identify with them more, I'm not exactly sure yet See, you caught me off guard

Eminem scares people...as he says in his song, he's the most successful white boy to become wealthy singin' like a black boy since Elvis.I like talented men who stir the pot...he is indeed a chameleon. One song, he disrespects gays, the next song he says he loves them. He brought the essence of black music into the homes of white people just like many of the original rock n rollers did back in the 50's. And of course that's scary to some suburbia parents and a lot of people who lean to the right...and please, I'm not defending that fear. That sort of fear is nearly loathsome, and based in ignorance. He IS a rebel, but I don't think he knows his cause yet. He's still a little too misogynistic, a little too homophobic, and a little too myopic. His next CD will be telling, if he starts speaking less about himself, and more about life and others, and as StarLover said, if he is more political, I think we will see amazing things from Eminem. I think he will use his power for the ultimate good...that's the potential and the power I see in him. He just needs more time to become a wiser person. He's got a generation in the palm of his hands. The rap we here today was born when Pluto was in Scorpio therefore his words are meant to try and break down society. AAhhh Libran, I should of known...I always fall for them  He can rap...he is one of the best, I don't beleive he ever had any intentions of this kind of fame he has, he just wanted to spin people out a bit with his 'out there' lyrics. Now he knows he can get a message out there he might..then again he might not. Who knows? I think he just raps about what is happening in his life...or has happend..and throws in a bit of shock words to add effect. I'm wondering if we should have the 'bruce' in there when we lexi...how relevent is it to who he is??? or more importantly does he ever use it? IP: Logged |

Just wanted to add my 5 cents worth. He may be successful, but I do find him disturbing. I listened to one of his songs where he is graphically singing/rapping about killing his ex. To me, that is NOT music. It shows that he advocates violence, especially to women. I think he has alot of issues and obviously he didn't grow up in a household of love and worth. Anyway, that's how I feel Love and Peace,

wow juni and sunmeadow... that was really good. gives a lot to think about. i personally havent understood the eminem thing. i am not a 'fan' of any celebrities, they are people just like you and me, just famous because thats their reality. i dont agree with a lot of things about celebrity, but thats for another thread. the thing with eminem is that i just dont get why people see him as some sort of savior. granted i dont know much about him, but i do know that his voice sounds whiny to me and i cant enjoy his music for that reason. maybe im missing his message, and i FULLY acknowledge my ignorance about him, but all he ever seems to do in the songs ive heard is say 'me me me me me' i mean, even worse than madonna. her latest album is apparently pretty self centered... i am dubious of celebrities motives anyway. they have a whole gang of people to help craft their image, using spin control and publicity, so i am very careful when i place my trust in a celebrity. remember that most celebs are illusory figures, constructed to create wealth for themselves and others from YOUR paycheck. they want you to like them, because they want you to buy their cd, or video, go see their movie etc. i really have no business being in this thread as i dont feel good 'vibes' of eminem, i never did... and so therefore never bothered to learn much about him. i do know some about him, who doesnt in this media saturated society... but i dont feel i have an opinion based on all the facts so ill reserve judgement. juni's lexi makes me wanna look up his chart though so maybe in the next little while ill do that. ill share what i find if i find anything. i was a little dismayed to see he shares my sun.  oh well. oh btw his mom is quite the... i dont know what to call her but she certainly wasnt mother of the year. i saw her on a talk show a couple of years ago. it was the usual media train wreck lol. i didnt get a good feeling off of her either though. I would never want to know Marshall personally, but I do have faith he will grow wiser.Yes I know I see him in an optimistic light, and this is a real rarity, I promise. Did you guys hear about what his fans did to Moby after he was told off my Eminem?
