Does anyone else think there could be a connection between ambigrams and lexigrams? Ambigramic lexigrams would sure make interesting reading.. IP: Logged |

Ambigrams are words or phrases written so that they can be read right side up or upside down. Here's a link: http://www.johnlangdon.net/website/New_Pages/Ambigrams.htm I'm not very familiar with them, but I'd be interested in any Ambigramic lexigrams that Sienna or anyone else would like to share. Thanks for the link, I didn't know what the name of these were even though I have always enjoyed viewing them. Ambigrams AMBIGRAMS AABGIMMRS I AIR A SAGA AIM A SAGA
SIR AIMS A SAGA MAMA AIMS A SAGA GRAB AIM AS I BRAG A SAGA AIM A ARIA Doesn't really describe the word or does it? Can we look at an Ambigram and see a saga .. an aria... a tale revealed in some way ? IP: Logged |

Greetings...As used in Angels and Demons, by the author of The DaVinci Code, ambigrams are merely tricks of calligraphy, and have in no way the esoteric depth of meaning as Lexigrams. In the Lexigram above, it states that an ambigram may be an AIR, an ARIA or a SAGA which tells us that they do tell a story... or sing to the imagination.. and they do. The calligraphy sings to the creative and artistic spirit in wo/man. But are they more meaningful than that? I tend to doubt it... unless the word that is so written generates a valuable Lexigram. And that will be a virtue of the Word itself, and not that it was cleverly calligraphed. Just a thought... In the Light...
